Chapter 1826: Abnormality Forbidden Zone
Infinite Divine Court, Light Source Realm:
The Highest Sovereign — Jiang Qing — suddenly opened his eyes. "What’s this feeling?" At his level, anything that can garner his attention is either earth-shattering or precious beyond words to describe. His gaze penetrated endless universes, stopping at Timeline NP89076H. Ignoring the Creation Cardinal, Jiang Qing searched for the cause and effect he had sensed.
"Hmm? A double timeline?" Jiang Qing thought. His eyes could see that Timeline NP89076H had veered at some point, creating another branch or timeline. However, the new timeline or world was not completely separate, thus creating a rare phenomenon in the Infinite Trichiliocosm known as the [Double Timeline].
"Grand Dao did well hiding this," Jiang Qing sneered. The seal placed in NP89076H also concealed the second timeline: the Chaos Origin Realm. If Jiang Qing had not left a crack in the seal and if someone had not caused trouble in the Chaos Origin Realm, he may have been deceived.
Jiang Qing swiftly calculated the cause and effect. To his surprise, the result was unclear, but he learned a few things: first, something major was about to occur; second, the major event would heavily impact Grand Dao in a negative way.
"This is my opportunity," Jiang Qing thought. Without hesitation, he sent a message across to a few different timelines before condensing an avatar with most of his strength. While the isolation of the Infinite Divine Court had multiple issues, one advantage was that it allowed Jiang Qing to advance and retreat. No matter how dire the situation is, no matter how much he loses, he can start over again as long as the Infinite Divine Court remains intact.
Jiang Qing’s avatar teleported to the Void Between Realms. He calmly glanced at the Creation Cardinal and the timeline below. Then, without uttering a single word, the avatar condensed a holy sword, releasing an intense golden beam that sought to purify everything in its path. The Creation Pool remained calm and composed, acting as if death were not approaching him.
Bang!
A powerful hand crashed the light beam attack. Jiang Qing’s attack was blinding, but after the effect dissipated, the person behind the overbearing hand showed up. An elderly man with bronze-colored skin, flowing white hair, and no shirt, with a muscular upper torso more beautiful than a Greek God’s, calmly glanced at him.
"Bi Jinshi, aren’t you tired of being someone else’s dog?" Jiang Qing sneered.
"Aren’t you tired of being a hypocrite?"
"I can sleep with peace of mind. Heaven, Earth, and Man know my ambition and my heart," Jiang Qing replied. "What about you? You’re a descendant of a Hongmeng Saint, but you have no backbone."
Bi Jinshi ignored him. Their founder left with his original family and close friends, leaving the current Bi Clan and members of the Primordial Body Mansion behind. After so many years without contact, Bi Jinshi already understood what their founder thought of them. However, as the clan’s ruler, he must preserve its prestige.
As time passes and the founder never appears, Grand Dao’s patience and tolerance for the Primeval Body Mansion decreases. Without maintaining the clan’s prestige and working for Grand Dao once in a while, Bi Jinshi knew a terrifying fate awaited them. Grand Dao might not eradicate the clan, but heavy suppression is still possible.
"Go back to your hiding hole," Bi Jinshi calmly stated. "Your actions are too far-reaching, and Grand Dao is determined to weaken your court’s power. Nothing you can do can stop this."
"Unlike you, I’ve never resigned to my fate," Jiang Qing sneered. "Come out." Four individuals with a similar aura to Jiang Qing and Bi Jinshi appeared in the Void Between Realms.
"Jiang Qing, don’t forget what you promised us," one of the newcomers uttered.
"You know I keep my word."
"Fine, I’ll believe in your reputation for now. You better not go back on your word; otherwise, even if I have to spend a while in Limbo, I’ll make your court suffer."
"I admire your conviction. Now, let’s not waste any more time," Jiang Qing smiled.
Five Grand Dao Saints attacked simultaneously, releasing a power beyond comprehension. If this attack lands, forget Timeline NP89076H; hundreds of thousands of timelines will be destroyed. How many lives is that? One timeline consisted of trillions of Chaos Worlds, and one Chaos World is as vast as billions — or even more — of universes.
Bi Jinshi frowned. Despite the devastating attack, he calmly waited. As expected, three other individuals appeared beside him to help block the attack. What followed was a terrifying battle with Nine Grand Dao Saints. The Infinite Divine Court should have the number advantage, but Bi Jinshi showed his dominance by holding up his own against 2 third-step powerhouses on his own.
Such a legendary battle showed the grand-scale effect of Wang Wei’s action. Most of the Chaos Universe doesn’t even know the Primordial Timeline had 4 hidden Grand Dao Saints — let alone a battle with nine of them. However, this battle was just the tip of the iceberg of the chaos Wang Wei caused.
Primordial Timeline, Abnormality Forbidden Zone:
An enormous, octopus-like humanoid creature with two large wings suddenly sensed something in the distance. Someone was calling him. Someone had offered him a sacrifice — a sacrifice that his past self may not have cared for, but it was the most supreme nourishment at the moment.
Cthulhu moved its body, trying to reach that distance call. Unfortunately, billions of chains made from the very essence or origin of the law bind his body. These chains contained so much power, so many hidden rules, that any Saint would kill their entire family and loved ones just to acquire a piece.
Roar!
Cthulhu’s voice shook the entire forbidden zone. The entire place — including the law chains — was suddenly corrupted by a terrifying power; it began turning everything in its path into a dream. Since it’s a dream, then they are not real; since they are dreams, Lord Cthulhu can control them.
The sealing chains trembled, trying to suppress this terrifying being. Normally, they have no issue doing their jobs, but when an agitated Cthulhu is desperate, the chains alone are not enough. Someone else must ensure their success.
A single, cold, and indifferent eye manifested in the sky above this forbidden zone. Without wasting any time, Grand Dao released its power to reinforce the law chains. However, this time around, this foreign and ancient creature did not allow itself to be suppressed. The ruthlessness in Grand Dao’s eyes increased, and with one thought, she sacrificed a million timelines to boost her strength. All matter, energy, souls, and concepts from these timelines became nourishment for her to suppress the creature.
Cthulhu roared. He couldn’t stop. The calling in the distance was not just a way for him to regain his strength; it was hope. As long as he can reach that place, he can attract new followers and believers who can offer him sacrifices regularly, dramatically increasing the odds of his escape. Knowing what was at stake, Cthulhu activated one of its trump cards.
With just one order, hundreds of Primordial Chaos Saints and 5 Tribunal Lords suddenly barged into the Six Paths of Samsara. Without uttering a word, they started spreading the Whisper — which is a form of corruption of the Old Great Ones. Grand Dao’s Eyes trembled. If it were capable of emotions, her current state could be described as beyond fury — she was wrathful. Of all the Grand Constructs, Samsara was the one with the strictest rules regarding interference. Now, something has gone wrong.
A message soon spread to every Saint of the Primordial Timeline. Grand Dao offered substantial rewards to stop the rampage of these Corrupted Saints. Many people responded. The benefit of Grand Dao keeping the Paragon Era in a resource-free zone was that she could easily control these Saints by releasing a small portion of resources.
With one word, countless of them rushed to the underworld to stop their counterpart. Unfortunately, while these Saints could resist the corruption themselves, purifying it was another matter. The essence of Cthulhu’s power was third-step, maybe even reaching the level of True Transcendent. According to Wang Wei’s theory, the current Cthulhu was most likely a clone of the real one, who is probably a True Transcendent.
A Grand Dao Saint might be able to purify the corruption, but these first and second-step powerhouses were useless. So, where were the Grand Dao Saints of the Primordial Timeline? Well, they were watching these events coldly. Grand Dao was too harsh in her control of the world’s resources and of the [Transcendence Path]. So, even after enticing these thirst-step powerhouses, they just watched with indifference.
Most of the people who usually cooperate with Grand Dao were occupied with fighting Jiang Qing. Meanwhile, the other people who were enticed dared not break the consensus out of fear of being surrounded. Grand Dao understood the mindset of these third-step powerhouses. As long as she’s severely injured, she will lose control of most of the world — including the Transcendence Path. Then, they will be free.
Knowing that they would not help, she had to focus on eradicating the pollution, and that’s exactly what Cthulhu needed to send a projection toward Timeline NP89076H.
