Re-Birth of a Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2504: Slaughters

Chapter 2504: Slaughters

All the members inside the base, felt suffocated with Jack’s modifications.

The whole city started sucking up the energy from the surrounding areas. It drew more energy than what could have easily given them an year’s supply of sprit stones for the whole academy.

All that just to bind every member on the base.

And the moment he was done with them, the visitors came for Jack. These mercenaries, the ones that were bought with money and connections, didn’t know that they are victims of one of the biggest mistakes the elders could have ever made.

These mercenaries are the victims of incomplete information.

Because of the rush, the elders didn’t really explain what kind of enemies they were going against and these idiots did the most idiotic thing any idiot could ever do.

They rushed at the base.

There is also one more thing... these mercenaries thought that Jack would actually be captured and the rest of the base members took control of the formations.

In fact, they were told that they are only here to make sure that they just came here, as support in case of unavoidable surprises.

But as soon as they rushed, they became the victims of the binding. Not just the ones that entered, even the ones that were out of the base, with a massive range of a few hundred meters radius, everything was under the suppression of the formation.

Jack then started tweaking with the formation core.

"Now that everyone is here. Let’s start the party."

The tweaks started modifying the suppression a bit. Instead of making them completely immobile, their energies were suppressed instead. Their cultivation levels, were suppressed to match Jack’s exactly.

Of course there were some people who were already at the same level as Jack, they got their full freedom back.

They all exchanged glances and realized even if their cultivations were suppressed, they could actually move around normally.

And the next moment....

*KEEN*

A sword keen, a slash conjured with spiritual energy rose up from the middle of the base, and in that bright flash of sword strike, if one looked closely, they saw five streaks of blood that tailed five heads...

Before they knew it, Jack rushed out of the base on his hoverboard. The air surrounding him turned sharper as the razor sharp spiritual energy slashes escaped from the board and his sword.

Every move took a limb or life if the target was unlucky.

Still, no matter how good Jack was at swordsmanship and how powerful he was, he still couldn’t just take down dozens at the same time. At least no when they have such freedom to attack him in droves.

So, the moment he got cornered, he started throwing out a bunch of spheres and cubes. The same devices that their team used as Flaming skull assassins. They were not custom made to target a specific cultivator, and they were a bit toned down...

Still, the targets suffered.

A guy fell to his knees because of the fire elemental poisoning and the next moment, his burning chest was cut open cleaning. Jack took the burning sensation away along with the life.

Another guy fell victim to the paralysis of a lightning elemental attack. This time Jack cut off his head.

One guy froze in ice and Jack’s slash smashed him into pieces.

The killing which was already easy to begin with, became even easier.

Of course, the group still managed to corner Jack a bit, but at that moment, he used his communication device to trigger something else.

The secret chambers in the broken base opened up and several beast shaped puppets jumped out. And they all had shadow energy and death energy swirling around them like clouds.

The puppets attacked without delay. The battle soon turned one sided... extremely so.

After around twenty minutes...

Jack stood in the middle of battlefield, with dozens of corpses around him. Only one person was left alive and he was held captive by the puppets.

Jack pulled out a syringe from the storage and drew out a bit of blood. At the same time, a bird puppet came from nowhere.

"It recorded the whole fight...

Give this to whoever hired you. And tell them, whatever they think my affiliation is with Sam, they are wrong. Tell them I am closer to him than they think and tell them to catch me if they can."

The video caught everything Jack wanted.

...

At the same time, similar scenes unfolded in two other worlds.

Philip was also attacked by dozens of mercenaries that surrounded the base. And unlike Jack, where the terrain didn’t have much advantage, Philip’s base was located in the middle of the richest volcanic terrain he had been in a long while.

It was so rich to the point there were a bunch of elemental creatures borne out of it.

Philip had tamed them a long time ago and even used some special golem cores to create more. Along with the puppets he got... he had a much easier time than Jack here.

Just within fifteen minutes, Philip was standing there on the hoverboard with the captive in the middle of a bunch of elementals.

But the cherry on the top was Watt’s situation.

He was hovering on the silver wing. But he wasn’t standing. He sat on it with one leg over the other as he looked at seventy-five odd people surrounding him from all sides.

He didn’t even take a look at them.

All he did was shuffle a pack of blood red metallic cards in his hands, with a bunch of bird puppets surrounding him.

The formation was activated and it trapped everyone inside and suppressed their cultivations.

"Watt... it’s over. You better surrender and give us the information we need."

The members of the Hermes academy, that Watt endured all this while were the first to speak.

He for the first time turned to look at them and asked.

"Do you guys like card games?"
