Chapter 3765: Falling Rain

The Falling Rain Blossom was a technique that worked on Sword Heart. He created his Sword Domain around him using this technique, except he chose the origin of the attack and where it ended. That way, he could make it happen straight up to down, making it look like rain.

Su Nian took a step back when he saw Alex’s attack. It was limited to only about 10 meters around Alex, but it was still very scary. And more than that, he saw what exactly the rain in the shower was.

"Sword Qi!" he said out loud, causing the others to finally recognize it as well. "What are you doing with Sword Qi? You cannot use a sword."

Alex continued moving forward. "I imagine you’re not familiar with someone who has formed a weapon heart. It is incredible. We do not need a weapon to make use of said weapon. In this case, even without my sword, I can easily use my Sword Domain. Speaking of which, everyone beware. My attacks are strong enough to hurt Divinities. You will lose very soon."

Alex took a step forward.

As he stepped ahead, the rain followed him. The rain made no changes to the landscape, making it look like Alex was walking through the sand with an illusion more than an actual attack.

The moment someone thought as much, they tried to catch him off guard. Several dozen people immediately used their attacks on Alex.

However, unlike the first time when the combination had created a crater, this time, none of the attacks did anything at all. The moment they reached Alex, they were immediately destroyed by the Falling Rain Blossom.

That caused Su Nian to become even more wary. He didn’t back away, however. The moment he did that, he would consider himself as having lost, which he didn’t want to do. So, he remained right where he was and let the shower deal with him.

A massive golden dome formed, this time around Su Nian and a couple of other people who had stayed behind to attack Alex. And yet, when it came under the heavy Falling Rain Blossom, it was immediately clear to the man that the dome wouldn’t hold at all.

The dome that he had formed using his Divine Qi could not hold against the sword skills of someone in the Immortal Transcendent realm. Such a thing was absurd enough that it was hard to believe, and yet, it was happening right before their very eyes.

The relentless shower destroyed the barrier in a couple of seconds, causing Su Nian to run backward. Before he could recover, Alex followed behind him.

Wherever Su Nian went, Alex followed with his shower. He manipulated the shower so that no person would actually be hit by it, following only the one who had the power of Divine Qi. He wanted to show this man that Divine Qi alone wouldn’t help him.

Su Nian tried to fight back. He tried to attack from time to time, and yet not a single thing survived within the shower. Alex was completely untouchable.

"How is this happening?" Su Nian asked. "How are you this strong? You’re not even in the Immortal Spirit realm, let alone the Divine realm."

"There are more ways than just Qi to become strong," Alex said.

The shower suddenly vanished, and so did his blood armor. All that was left was just him, plain and simple.

"Go on. Attack me."

Su Nian hesitated slightly, staring at Alex with uncertainty in his eyes. A moment later, however, he did as Alex asked.

A bright golden spear formed right near them, and Su Nian threw it directly at Alex. Right before it hit him on the side of his shoulder, Alex’s arm reached out and grabbed it.

It wasn’t easy to grab the spear given how fast it was. But Alex had done it.

And that was all he needed to fully deter Su Nian from doing anything else. The man fell to his knees, no longer able to even think of what he could do to keep going.

Alex watched him for a second before turning toward the others, who were as in awe as Su Nian probably was, maybe even more.

"So," Alex started. "I believe you all owe me a lot of stars. Unless... you don’t believe this fight to be over."

He glared at each of the men and women who appeared to hold the slightest hint of opposition to him in that moment. Those who did quickly looked away after being told as much.

Alex looked at them all. "Unless someone else is going to fight me, I believe this battle is over. Don’t you all think so too?"

People nodded one after another.

It was indeed over.

Alex had easily defeated their strongest fighter, turning the entire thing into an obvious victory for him, despite the fact that he had barely fought the majority of them in the first place.

Firefang watched Alex in awe. She had the tiniest hint of Divine Qi and had thought she could use it to win, but when even Su Nian, one of the strongest cultivators of the younger generation, had lost to Alex, there wasn’t much she could do.

It pained her to bring out the 500 stars that they set up upon being challenged, especially after losing over 5000 stars just the other day. Compared to everyone, her failure rang the worst.

Everyone began handing over the 500 stars, most looking at Su Nian with some degree of annoyance and hatred. It was he who had increased the bid from a single star to 500 per fighter.

Those who had the stars paid it all. Those who didn’t paid what they could and were forced to leave when they had no stars left. They stared at Su Nian with blaming eyes before leaving the secret realm.

Alex took all the stars he was given from each person, which by itself took more than 20 minutes to gather. By the time he was done gathering, he had counted each one.

With just one challenge, he had earned 962 thousand stars.

That was more than he was ever planning on getting.
