Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3798: Something Made

Chapter 3798: Something Made

"Son, you need to come with us the next time it opens again," Graham said once he was with Alex.

Alex gave a helpless smile. "I do want to, Father, but I do not know if I have the time for it. I have so much I need to do."

Graham seemed to want to say more, but he didn’t.

"Well, if you do change your mind, be sure to let us know," Long Huan said. "This time was much more fun than before. Uncle nearly won the whole thing this time around."

"Oh," Alex raised his eyebrows. "It went well then."

"Yes," his father said. "There were a few people missing, so that helped too."

Alex nodded. "I see. If I don’t have anything to do around that time, I will go with you two."

Graham was happy to hear that alone.

Alex checked on his father’s progress with cultivation and was happy to realize that he was doing well. The process of pill poisoning was truly helping his father improve his cultivation base. Within a few more decades, he might even be able to reach the Immortal realm.

His father returned to the Soul Space, where he continued cultivating, and Long Huan went to find Hannah afterward, leaving Alex more or less by himself.

Some days later, the old man finally arrived.

"You’re finally back, Senior," Alex said as Battlesage returned.

"Of course!" the old man said. "You called for me in such a hurry, so I had to get back as soon as I could. You left the secret realm too, huh?"

Alex nodded. "I didn’t want to waste another decade and a half in there with nothing to do and nothing to prove."

The man understood. That was why he had left as well.

"Alright, I have what you want ready," the old man said. "Though, I must warn you, it won’t be what you might be thinking it will be."

"As long as it does the bare minimum, that will be enough," Alex told the man.

Hearing that, Battlesage entered his Soul Space, where he began working on the formation plate, with Whisker and Helen helping him. Alex watched from time to time, attempting to learn it as well, but he found that he was missing a lot of information already, so he gave up halfway through.

Whisker and his mother understood, and that was enough for him.

About a week and a half later, the formation plate was finally ready, so the three brought it out to test. A few other people were there too, watching it be used outside of the Soul Space.

Using Divine spirit stones, the old man activated the simple formation plate, and immediately, Alex felt a burst of Time aura surrounding them. Only he, Liz, and faintly Scarlet noticed the emerging aura.

"It’s working," Scarlet said. "But it feels so... weak. Is it even doing anything at all?"

"It’s slowing down time by a couple fold. A little over 3 times," Liz answered.

"Is that so?" Battlesage asked, looking at his own design.

Liz turned toward him. "Did you not know how much it would alter it?"

Battlesage shook his head. "There’s nothing specific defined within the runes. It’s meant to do as much as it can. And it appears that what it can do with what it’s given is this."

"Huh?" Liz let out a surprised voice as she tilted her head. "How is it then that the formation inside his Soul Space works much better than this? Is it because it is bigger?"

"Sort of," Whisker answered. "It is bigger, and it is better. But most importantly, it is powered by one of the strongest sources of energy out there. The decaying aura of two dead Primordials. It’s perhaps more powerful than if it were being used through a Celestial vein."

"Ah!" Liz finally understood.

"Alright, that’s enough for now," Alex said. "Let me test it out, and I’ll get back to you if anything feels off."

"We’ll leave you be then."

Everyone went into his Soul Space, while Alex sat outside on top of the formation plate and began cultivating. After only a couple of months of cultivation, which in reality was just one month, Alex noticed no problems or fluctuations in the emerging Time aura.

He was certain that it would work.

So, it was now time to go a step further.

Alex called out Liz and asked her to bring her master over. What he had asked for was ready.

Alex had to spend a few more weeks cultivating as he was since the Divination God couldn’t really find the opportunity to come over quickly. Apparently, more gods had arrived, and he was busy with the many conversations that were constantly being had around the palace.

When he was finally free, he made his way into the courtyard and arrived before Alex without anyone even realizing he was there. Even Alex wasn’t aware the man was there until he announced his presence.

"A script formation, huh? I wouldn’t have thought," the god spoke.

Alex quickly stood and bowed. "Senior!"

The man gave a quick nod. "I know what you want me to do. Step aside unless you wish to be affected by the aura directly."

Alex shook his head and quickly stepped off the formation. The man moved forward and pressed his hand on the formation, and suddenly, Alex felt a tremendous amount of Time aura flooding into it while it was still active.

Alex felt the aura merge into the aura that came from the formation itself, and even when the Divination God moved his hand away, it still worked.

Alex blinked in surprise as he felt the aura. What had before been a threefold difference in the flow of time had now suddenly shot up to as much as 20 times.

Considering the man had completely removed himself from it, Alex was stunned that the formation still held that speed.

"I have done what I needed to do," the Divination God said. "The aura will deplete over time, and the speed will gradually become normal again. But you should be able to make use of it for a decade or two at least before that happens. Good luck."
