Chapter 2975: Fate Of The World

Date: Unspecified

Time: Unspecified

Location: Myriad Realms, Card World, Southern Region, Blossom District, Sky Blossom City

Time dilation was such a wonderful thing. Thanks to it, I had more than enough space to tend to my empire while I was thinking of ways to prepare for my big upcoming fight with one of the five Arch-Angels of the First Order Dark Cult—the master of the Angel of Revolt Konjur, and the Arch-Angel of the Ash Dunes, Maestro Matteo.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about the upcoming fight with Maestro. I was dreading it, even.

But I wasn’t worried for myself; I was worried for the Card World. If I failed to finish Maestro once and for all, who was to say a wounded semi-ruler class devil who had just lost his beloved disciple wouldn’t take his anger out on the place where it all went wrong? As one of the five Arch-Angels of the First Order Dark Cult, Maestro possessed the absolute strength, authority, and influence required to wipe the Card World off the map.

And from our brief meeting, I could tell he certainly didn’t lack the pettiness to do it, either.

The stakes were incomparably high this time. Unlike the Dark Faction’s ’Seven Princes of Hell,’ the First Order didn’t suffer from a lack of funds or manpower; they were a genuine, terrifying Semi-Ruler class power with many realms across the myriad realms serving as their faith farms.

In fact, even some of the actual Ruler-class powers actively steered clear of them, terrified of the zealotry and their Faith.

Therefore, I was being meticulously thorough with my preparations, keeping in mind that Maestro might call on one of his fellow Arch-Angels from the First Order Dark Cult as backup. They were all just as strong as him, some even more troublesome than him.

And two Viltronians, each capable of showcasing semi-ruler class strength or more once optimized, paired with an absolute immunity to Faith? That would play the best damn contingency a guy could ever ask for against a horde of fanatic cultists.

They were going to be my ultimate hidden wild cards. While Maestro focused on Peyote’s primary defenses, expecting a standard trap, I would drop two unstoppable physical juggernauts right into his backline, entirely unfazed by the Faith power the First Order loved to hide behind.

With that reassuring thought locking the final layer of my strategy into place, I took a deep breath, smoothing down my collar and shaking the heavy thoughts from my head, I left Jaya and Veerott in the care of the Saintess and Redfall, forcing my focus back to the immediate task at hand. It was time to deal with the Frosling clan and take another definitive step toward establishing myself and my forces within the dark realm.

Previously, I had planned to take the Saintess and Redfall with me. Considering that I might have to face the Snow Elves, I knew I would need a few capable aids to look after and communicate with the migrating Froslings. Not to mention, it was about time I unleashed Redfall onto the Dark Realm to establish his cult within it, and this trip would have been the perfect opportunity for him to get the lay of the land.

But it couldn’t be helped. Right now, I need them here to train Veerott and Jaya.

So, my plans had to adapt. I was going to take Sansa and Karl with me instead. While they weren’t quite as powerful as the faith-wielding duo of the Saintess and Redfall, they were more than up for the task.

Just as the two of them arrived in the hub, I caught Veerott staring intently at them. Well, specifically at Karl more than Sansa.

It wasn’t surprising. After all, unlike part Viltronian Sansa, Karl was a purebred Viltronian himself—except his core had been brutally destroyed before he came of age and could properly reintegrate with it. Because of that tragedy, he had been forced to cultivate a pure Card Apprentice path, right up until he received my Calamity Daughter Gem to replace the original core he had lost. Even so, that replacement still wasn’t quite enough to grant him the Viltronian race’s signature Rule Immunity.

To Veerott’s highly sensitive biological radar, Karl looked like a walking contradiction: a purebred Viltronian operating with a core that was only partially Viltronian. It went against everything he knew.

To a traditionalist like Veerott, Karl’s very existence was simply impossible. According to everything he knew about their species, if an individual possessed a pure Viltronian bloodline, they must possess a complete, untainted Viltronian core. A variant core that was only partially Viltronian shouldn’t even be viable, let alone active.

I could practically see the gears grinding to a halt in Veerott’s head. First a purebred girl raised by locals, then a couple of hybrids wielding divine faith, and then more hybrids. One of them even was a purebred running on a mutant core which was only partially Viltronian. It was a complete systematic error for his worldview.

I could see he was dying to march right over, introduce himself to Karl, and dig into every last detail of his life experience. He practically had to force himself to look away, redirecting his focus toward Redfall’s explanation and the training plans being laid out for them.

Just a few minutes ago, his original game plan for the revival of his race had been completely scrapped. He hadn’t known where to begin, but now, the pieces were rapidly falling into place. Just like that, a new strategy to rebuild his species alongside his newly discovered brothers and sisters was beginning to take shape in his mind.

To him, compared to the young and temperamental Jaya, Karl seemed like a much more reliable, mature starting point to test his plans on and get the true lay of the land.

With Veerott finally turning their attention over to his trainer, I gave Karl and Sansa a brief nod and quietly said, "Let’s move."
