Once I figured out what was happening, I discarded the body that the Scarred Truevil had grasped and reconstructed another one from one of my blood drops still in the air, planning to try sowing my Calamity Daughter gems in her a few more times to see where exactly they were being sent.

However, just then, Hive Spirit reported that it wasn’t just my Calamity Daughter gem that was being teleported. If I were to focus on the vibrations of the soul pathways and arrangements in her body, then I would notice that her entire body was being replaced, and time didn’t seem to factor in during the switch. As there was no gap in time as the bodies were being switched, it was happening as if it were natural. As if the Calamity Daughter never entered that body of the Scarred Truevil to begin with.

The natural array formation set up by her became more bizarre the more I learned about it. I didn’t even have time to mull over it and solve it to understand what actually was going on, the Scarred Truevil was relentless.

The Scarred Truevil shot out of the lava underneath me, opening her beak wide and letting out a hypersonic blast. That freaking turned all the soft tissue in my body to scrambled meat soup, breaking past my boundlessly stretched barrier. She seemed to have grown more accustomed to dealing with my barrier the longer we fought, finding more ingenious ways to break it and get to me. Getting more efficient each time.

Hive Spirit constructed a new body and moved my consciousness to it, following the protocol.

It was taking my all to keep up with the Scarred Truevil. Usually, when fighting my other opponents, I would be using my soul pupils to focus on them while Hive Spirit would be using the same vision to help analyze the surroundings or their attacks and not only help me deduce them but take advantage of them.

But here, Hive Spirit and I needed to work together; otherwise, we wouldn’t even realize how we lost another one of my bodies to here.

As such, I couldn’t spare a second to thoroughly analyze the natural array formation and figure out what was going on here. Get answers to how the Scarred Truevil was able to get rid of my Calamity Daughter gem even though it had entered her body? Because once the Daughter Core of the World Calamity Tree entered a being, it was basically game over.

I fucking blamed the Dark Races for this. How the fuck was any of this primitive? Yes, their way of life might be primitive, but their fighting prowess? There was nothing primitive about it. It was far more profound than most of the Dark Race opponents I had fought. Well, considering that they were a race of warmongers that basically never got tired or died of old age, it wasn’t surprising that they had refined their art of killing to such a point.

I watched as the Scarred Truevil immediately pivoted mid-air, continuing her mad dash towards my new body. I decided I had to pin her down buying Hive Spirit the time to figure out the natural array formation she had set up. Therefore, I immediately used my Primordial Myriad Devil Transformation to transform myself into a Truevil, preparing to see what a hybrid Truevil body could do, but suddenly, a prompt flashed in my mind from my Grimoire.

[Your cursed primordial bloodline has reacted with an unknown diluted and mutated bloodline within your current primordial Myriad Devil Transformation.

i) Primordial form is the most primal form of a being before their primordial bloodline was diluted in the passage of time and mutated to adapt to a new era where soul energy and other derived energies have replaced primordial energy. This form is only available to beings that have walked the Primordial Era.]

"Yes!" I mentally commanded, and with that, my Truevil form’s stooped-over posture straightened while my massive four-armed humanoid body underwent subtle changes, making it so that I was more comfortable walking bipedally than quadrupedally, knuckle-walking.

Seeing my continuous transformations, the Scarred Truevil, who was madly dashing over, stopped in caution and curiosity.

As the transformation completed, I scrutinized the Truevil’s Primordial form. I looked the same except for my posture and walking style. Before I could explore further, another prompt rang in my mind.

[Warning: The curse of your cursed primordial bloodline has sealed ninety percent of your primordial form’s true prowess.

i) Remove the curse on your primordial bloodline to use the full prowess of your primordial form.]

"What the fuck?" I cursed out loud, but all that came out was a screech.

Ever since I gained my cursed primordial bloodline, I believed the primordial bloodline I gained was a curse-based one because I gained it by comprehending the Blood Curse meaning of the Blood Rule, and not a primordial bloodline that was actually cursed.

Or was it a curse-based primordial bloodline that also happened to be cursed? That would explain why I can’t hear anything from it. It was the curse stopping the bloodline from properly communicating with me. But why was the bloodline cursed and when did it get cursed after I gained it or even before it?

And more importantly, does this mean if I use my Primordial Myriad Devil Transformation ability to turn into any being that was alive during the Primordial Era, I can take their primordial form? And the only such beings that came to my mind were the Pixies and my theories about them being the Primordial Pixies.

I immediately blamed myself for not transforming into a Pixie after gaining the cursed primordial bloodline. I would have learned about Primordial Form a lot sooner.
