Also, many thanks to everyone who bought me coffee (*≧∀≦*)

The senior who asked Gu Jiao out was called Shi Ye, seventeen years old this year and only two years older than Gu Jiao, the undisputed school heartthrob and top student of the school, born into a well-off family and also quite good at basketball, with countless girls chasing after him.

Yet among all of them, he was drawn only to Gu Jiao, who always kept to herself and walked alone.

Other people all said that Gu Jiao was strange, that she always gave off an icy, unapproachable feeling, and that being glanced at by her cool, chilling gaze could leave someone shivering for days.

However, in his eyes, this kind of girl was special enough to be irresistible.

“There’s a bonfire party here at night, and I’ve booked rooms… don’t worry! It’s two rooms!” Shi Ye scratched his head a little shyly, then added, “Of course, if you don’t want to stay here, I can take you back earlier.”

“No need, I want to see the bonfire party.” Gu Jiao said as she looked at him, the corners of her lips curving slightly upward, “This is the first time in my life someone has invited me out to have fun.”

Shi Ye was completely dazzled by her smile.

She usually looked cold and distant, yet when she smiled, she was even more radiant and captivating than the spring scenery of March.

Shi Ye hurriedly said, “Y-you like it? If you like it, I can take you out to play every day!”

Gu Jiao extended her hand toward him.

Shi Ye froze.

Ah, this, this…was this the moment to hold hands?

So excited that his throat bobbed, his palms growing sweaty, he subtly wiped his hand against his clothes, and just as he was about to take her hand, he heard her say, “The key card.”

Shi Ye was mortified and quickly pulled his hand back, fumbling out a room key card and handing it to her as he said, “It’s a sea-view room, the one with the best view.”

That actually wasn’t true.

The room with the best view, the presidential suite, had already been booked by someone else, though the two rooms he had reserved were still quite good.

Gu Jiao took the key card and went to Room 709.

When she unzipped her backpack and prepared to change into the swimsuit she had carefully picked out, she instantly went blank.

Holding up a clump of gaudy, eye-searing fabric that was ugly enough to make one cry, she exclaimed, “Where’s my bikini! How did it turn into a one-piece swimsuit, and it even has such a long skirt hem!!!”

Who touched her backpack!

So annoying!

Such a conservative and old-fashioned style was obviously the godfather’s taste.

When it came to his own clothes, he would always fasten even the very top button of his collar.

“What the heck? I’m not even allowed to wear a bikini.”

Gu Jiao muttered to herself, and then a spark of inspiration flashed through her mind as she dialed the front desk, saying, “I want a bikini.”

The gentle voice of the front desk attendant came through the phone, “Sorry, ma’am, all the bikinis at our hotel are sold out.”

Gu Jiao glanced at the sparsely populated beach and said, “I don’t see many guests either, so how did they sell out already?”

The front desk attendant awkwardly glanced at the young man standing in front of her, dressed in a black trench coat, wearing sunglasses, and exuding a cold, stern aura, then covered the receiver and whispered, “Th-they’re just sold out.”

All bought up by this handsome guy alone.

Looks so decent, who would have thought he was such a big pervert!

The front desk attendant hung up the phone, let out a dry laugh, and handed over a room key card, saying, “The clothes… will be delivered to your room shortly.”

Godfather took the key card and left without even looking back.

From the Bluetooth earpiece came the assistant’s voice, “The plan has changed, he won’t arrive until tonight, do you want me to book you a room?”

“No need.” Godfather replied flatly, “I’ve already booked one.”

“Huh?” On the other end of the call, the assistant stared at his phone in disbelief, and for a brief moment suspected he had dialed the wrong number.

This master hated staying overnight outside the most, yet he had actually booked a room for himself?

Could it be that he already knew the plan would change?

He opened his mouth hesitantly. “Um…”

Godfather hung up the call.

……

In the end, Gu Jiao could only put on the ugly, tacky, butcher-pink, lotus-frill one-piece swimsuit with a look of utter disdain.

When Shi Ye, who was drinking a beverage on the beach, saw her dressed like this, he nearly choked himself to death in one gulp.

Th-this, this really wasn’t him stealing his grandma’s swimsuit, was it?

Just looking at the swimsuit alone, one could almost think his grandma had come over to catch him on a date!

But Gu Jiao’s natural foundation was simply too good; at fifteen years old, her figure was slender yet well-proportioned, with everything that should have developed developing beautifully, and not a trace of excess flesh where there shouldn’t be any.

Her curves were graceful and distinct, her waist so slim it seemed easy to grasp, and her long, straight legs only made the impression stronger.

Her snow-white skin was like smooth jade, and at her right ankle there was a fallen-angel tattoo that made her legs look even more dazzlingly white.

Of course, students weren’t allowed to get tattoos, so this one was just a sticker.

Shi Ye was staring so hard his eyes nearly popped out.

In the presidential suite facing the beach directly, the godfather stood on the sun-drenched balcony wearing sunglasses, one hand tucked into his trouser pocket and the other holding a glass of red wine, his gaze dangerous as it locked onto a certain little girl who clearly didn’t know when to fear for her life.

Even dressed in the tackiest clothes imaginable, Gu Jiao couldn’t hide her fair skin and good looks; not only was Shi Ye completely captivated by her, quite a few people even came over to strike up conversations.

Gu Jiao had no time to deal with them, because she wanted to go surfing.

It was her first time, and Shi Ye taught her patiently, hand in hand.

A young boy and girl, brimming with youthful energy and the slightly sour sweetness of first love.

“An eyesore.” Godfather said as he sipped his wine.

From the Bluetooth earpiece came the assistant’s bewildered voice, “What’s an eyesore?”

Godfather stared at the little girl who was laughing so hard she was practically doubled over, and replied calmly, “Nothing.”

Gu Jiao picked things up quickly, and surfing was no exception; after just one hour, she was already better at it than Shi Ye.

Shi Ye was exhausted to the point of collapse and hugged his surfboard as he returned to the beach, panting as he looked at Gu Jiao, who was still having the time of her life, excited like a little sparrow, as if she had endless energy.

So nice, so adorable.

Shi Ye sat down on the sand, propping himself up with both hands behind him, smiling as he watched his girl, feeling an incomparable sense of contentment in that moment.

Gu Jiao played until night fell, and only when her stomach growled with hunger did she reluctantly put away the surfboard.

The two of them returned to the hotel to change clothes.

Shi Ye had reserved a barbecue stall, where many guests were already seated, and the rich aroma of grilled meat and cumin filled the entire small plaza.

Shi Ye had Gu Jiao sit and wait while he ran around by himself, fetching ingredients and setting up the grill.

The young master of the Shi Family, who had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth, was showing such attentiveness to a girl for the very first time in his life.

He had practiced at home before, and the flavor he grilled up was actually quite good.

“Honey, honey, I like sweet things.” Gu Jiao said.

But her Godfather never let her eat too much, saying it would ruin her teeth.

“Okay.” Shi Ye replied, his face smeared with soot, as he brushed a layer of crystal-clear honey onto the skewers.

“Is it good?” Shi Ye asked her.

Gu Jiao gnawed on the skewers, her small mouth busy, nodding like a little hamster.

Shi Ye smiled happily.

Summary:

Xuan Zhi transmigrated into a world where the cultivation of “Supernatural Talismans” was a central practice. In this world, Talisman Masters could use talismans to summon gods, exorcise ghosts, command demons, and control the five elements, making this profession universally acknowledged as the No.1 most promising career in the cultivation world.

When she arrived, she was dressed in red bridal clothes, sitting in a bridal carriage, holding her ancestral “Celestial Talisman,” and preparing to form a marriage alliance with the Yun Clan of Eastern Zhou.

According to the original plot, after marrying into the Yun family, she would be restrained and effectively placed under house arrest in the name of the “three obediences and four virtues,” her husband would change from the Second Young Master Yun on the marriage contract to the abusive Third Young Master Yun, and she would eventually be tormented to death.

Meanwhile, the Yun family would seize her “Celestial Talisman,” summon wind and rain with it, and leap to become the number one great clan in Eastern Zhou.

Xuan Zhi: “Wouldn’t it be better for me to summon gods myself? Why should I give good things to others?”

***

Xuan Zhi: “Great Sage, I’ve been your fan since I was little!”

The “Celestial Talisman” rumbled, releasing a swirling cloud that carried her one hundred and eight thousand li before she plummeted headfirst straight into the main villain's bath.

Xuan Zhi: “I beseech True Lord Erlang to save my life!!”

The next moment, a dog paw suddenly struck her face, barking fiercely as it tore apart every malevolent spirit and sinister creature that surrounded her.

Xuan Zhi: “I may not be able to summon the great gods themselves, but I can summon their little pets and treasures.” (Forced smile.jpg)

Other characters in the book: “Just what kind of gods is she summoning?!!”

Xuan Zhi: “Sorry, my mythology runs on different lore.”

***

One day, Xuan Zhi finally summoned a god everyone recognized.

The Northern Abyss Ghost Emperor emerged amid countless evil spirit followers, clad in a black flame-edged robe with dancing sashes, his dark red eyes radiating a commanding, kingly aura, so imposing it seemed he was a different person from the one chased and bitten by a dog naked that day.

He held a divorce letter in his hand and sneered. “Part ways amicably, and live our own lives in peace?”

His sinister gaze locked onto Xuan Zhi. She snatched the letter, tore it to pieces, then shyly threw herself into his arms and squeezed out tears. “Boohoo, you devil, why did you come so late? Look, they all bullied me!”

Shentu Tao: “……”

Everyone she pointed at backed away in panic. “Good heavens, who is bullying who?!”

Summary:

In the suspenseful supernatural novel “Records of Mortals,” Jiang Baiyan, once a solitary and impoverished youth, finds refuge in the Shi family of Chang’an due to his extraordinary bloodline. With his clear and captivating peach blossom eyes, this seemingly innocent young man conceals a fanatical and malevolent lunatic within. Destined to succumb to darkness amidst hardship and degradation, he becomes a harbinger of chaos.

When Shi Dai suddenly transmigrates, she takes on the role of the Shi family’s young lady, the one who subjects him to countless trials, eventually leading to her demise.

The twist? She never got to finish reading the novel.

From what she knew of the plot, Jiang Baiyan was just a silent, timid, and often bullied pitiable character.

***

Jiang Baiyan had never encountered someone like Shi Dai.

After he had slaughtered all the evil creatures in the garden, the blood-stained young man, exuding a murderous aura, approached her step by step, his lips curling into a malicious smile, "Scared?"

Shi Dai responded, “You’re really amazing! I applaud you until I spin like a spiral and fly around the moon three hundred times! And also——you have dimples when you smile!"

Jiang Baiyan: ...?

After seeing her at a lantern festival with another man, Jiang Baiyan lowered his eyes, his fingers twirling her hair. He said in a mocking and sinister tone, "The mansion in the western suburbs...if I hide you there, no one will find you, right?"

Shi Dai replied, "Does it come with meals and lodging? Can I sleep in everyday? Oh, and your cooking is the best!"

Jiang Baiyan: ...?

Jiang Baiyan was supposed to dislike her, even hate her, but as their separation drew near, his eyes turned red and he grabbed her sleeve, pleading, "Don't abandon me, alri—”

Shi Dai responded, "Alright, alright, I’ll only have you. Mwah."

Jiang Baiyan: ...?

He hasn't finished his lines yet though…
