Chapter 670 - 3: Spatial Truth—Star Speaker

Chapter 670: Chapter 3: Spatial Truth—Star Speaker

Lynch followed behind Abbas, taking a step forward.

The sensation was not merely a simple space transmission; it felt more like the entire universe was gently folding and unfolding before him. The scene before him abruptly changed, the elegance and warmth of the VIP room vanished in an instant, replaced by a bizarre, inexplicable corridor of strange sights.

He found himself standing on what seemed to be an endless corridor. Beneath his feet was a black material, as smooth as a mirror, reflecting the endless starry sky above. The sides of the corridor, even the ceiling, were not walls, but countless shattered mirrors of varying sizes and shapes!

None of these mirrors reflected his current image; instead, each presented a completely different, vivid world!

To his left, in a rhombus-shaped mirror, was the peak of a towering snowy mountain, with a fierce cold wind raising ice crystals, and an entirely ice-blue giant eagle soaring over the Abyss; adjacent, another oval mirror displayed a hot river of lava rolling through a dark underground cave, emitting a dull roar, occasionally cut by the dorsal fins of massive, scaley beasts slicing through the magma’s surface.

On the right, a huge rectangular mirror showcased a vibrant, softly glowing magical forest, with gigantic ferns and strolling trees at ease; while next to it, a small triangular mirror featured a corner of a steel city, brimming with intricate gears interlocking and turning, steam and arcane energy gushing forth.

When Lynch looked upwards, the fragmented mirror ceiling was even more enchanting: there were deep-sea giant beasts patrolling in shadowy waters; humanoid beings with luminous wings dancing gracefully in a palace among the clouds; and even a completely incomprehensible digital world composed of geometric light spots and flowing data…

Every fragment was an independent, functioning world!

They were adjacent but distinctly separate, as if forcibly pieced together and imprisoned here by a supreme Space Power. An overwhelming, mysterious, awe-inspiring aura swept over Lynch, and he could even sense the distinct rule fluctuations emanating from those worlds.

He felt as if he wasn’t walking along a corridor, but strolling between the crevices of countless worlds!

“This way.” Abbas’s voice sounded ahead, seemingly accustomed to it all.

Lynch gathered his thoughts, suppressing his inner shock, and followed closely. His gaze was still involuntarily drawn to the myriad worlds on either side, his soul’s Perception of space mysteries allowing him to appreciate this place’s incredibility more than most.

At the corridor’s end, there was no other door, but an infinite, tranquil void.

In the very center of this void, a figure sat quietly.

It was an old man with hair and beard as white as snow, his face deeply etched with the marks of time, like the annual rings of an ancient tree. Yet, in stark contrast to his aged appearance, an overwhelming vitality flowed around him, warm and vast like the rising sun.

Countless tiny mirror fragments, each carrying different world scenes, floated gently around him like tame stars.

He seemed to be the absolute core of this void space, the axis maintaining the balance of countless fragmented worlds.

Though he sat there, seemingly just within reach, he gave off an aura of unattainability, as if his very existence had merged with the underlying rules of space, becoming one with that galaxy-like void.

“Teacher, he has arrived,” Abbas stopped at the edge of the void, bending in utmost respect.

The old man slowly opened his eyes.

What kind of eyes were they? As if the entire galaxy was condensed within, deep and wise, yet carrying a peace that comprehended the essence of all things. His gaze passed over Abbas and fell upon Lynch.

Lynch instantly felt an indescribable pressure, not malicious, but a natural reverence born from the absolute disparity in life level and knowledge tier. He immediately adhered to the highest etiquette among Wizards, bowing deeply, “Junior Lynch, greets Master Gulewige.”

Star Speaker, Gulewige!

This was a name no Wizard in the Wizard World would be unaware of.

Because this name represented nothing less than—

Truth!

Space Truth!

Yes, the old man before him was the current master of Space Truth in the Wizard World!

The existing mainstream space Magic System had been constructed by the old man before him, all Space Magic traced back to him as the source.

This was a figure of true significance!

Lynch’s voice echoed somewhat ethereally in this unusual space.

The corners of the old man’s mouth lifted slightly, revealing a gentle smile that made the wrinkles on his face appear even more kind: “No need for formality, young traveler. Welcome to my ’Mirror Corridor.’

Though his voice was not loud, it clearly reached Lynch’s ears, carrying a power that soothed the heart, slightly relieving Lynch’s tense nerves.

After a simple exchange of pleasantries, Master Gulewige’s gaze became slightly more focused, and some of the mirror fragments surrounding him gently fluctuated, reflecting some blurred images that seemed to be of the Underground City.

“The knowledge fragments brought by Abbas, I have seen them,” Gulewige slowly spoke, his voice tinged with recollection and emotion. “They originate from Acadia, from that… glorious and tragic era.”

He sighed slightly, beginning to recount a sealed-off history: “In those years, Nicholas’s mad Truth spread like a plague, the Destruction of Acadia was almost destined. In their final moments, the sages of the Eternal Tower made an incomparably decisive decision.”

“They harnessed a space power beyond imagination to relocate the fire of civilization—knowledge, heritage, even part of the population—deep underground, constructing those magnificent underground cities.”

“To ensure that this knowledge could endure through the long river of Time, they adopted the most extreme, yet effective methods.”

Gulewige’s voice became low and solemn: “They encrypted, divided, and branded the core Magic Knowledge into the depths of their people’s souls using Soul Alchemy, transforming them into a special, eternally existing Dead Spirit form, merging them with the Underground City itself.”

“They became living libraries, Acadia’s last tombstone and monument.”

“For countless years, including myself, many Wizards have pursued the legend, delving into those Underground Cities, attempting to decipher the codes left by the sages, seeking to bring those lost Truths back to light,” Gulewige shook his head, a trace of helplessness and admiration flashing in his eyes.

“However, it’s too difficult. The way those knowledge pieces are encrypted is beyond imagination; they are not complete Chapters but shattered into fundamental rune units, deeply hidden within soul structures in sequences we cannot understand, interlinked and mutually encrypted, like an infinitely complex multi-dimensional puzzle. Forcing a solution would lead only to the complete collapse of the knowledge structure.”

His gaze refocused on Lynch, his eyes met with galaxies swirling, filled with pure curiosity and inquiry:

“So, young Wizard…”

“I am very curious.”

“How did you decipher their true meanings?”
