Chapter 401: Complete Collection [PART 2]

Xiang Yu analyzed the new bloodlines he had gained.

He already had a plan to solve the problem he was facing – he just needed to implement it and see if it would actually work.

He turned his attention inward, observing his bloodline structure.

He called forth his void flame and used it to isolate half of his bloodline area, leaving it completely empty of any bloodline essence. The half containing his two dragon and phoenix bloodlines immediately began condensing into each other, becoming incredibly pure.

Xiang Yu controlled his stellar physique, disabling the bloodline nucleosynthesis. For his plan to work, he needed to prevent his original bloodlines from growing even stronger than the other two.

After all, the stronger they became, the lower his chances of success would be.

He looked at the other half that now lacked any bloodline essence and began refining the two new bloodlines into it.

Both were at the noble blood level.

The moment the two bloodlines were refined into the same space, they behaved exactly like the phoenix and dragon bloodlines had back then – instantly rushing toward each other and beginning their fierce battle.

Xiang Yu smiled. “It’s good to be enthusiastic, but that’s a little…”

He felt that the damage they were dealing was nothing compared to his other two bloodlines. He could barely tell they were fighting. Then again, those original two had been condensed and strengthened so much that it wasn’t fair to compare them.

When he had received the bloodlines, he instantly understood the benefits of each.

From the White Tiger, he gained wind and metal affinity, increased agility and stealth, plus predator instinct.

Predator instinct was quite interesting – it allowed him to sense weakness in enemies, similar to battle instinct but also somewhat different. Predator instinct also had an intimidation effect against weaker opponents and limited resistance against stronger ones. But Xiang Yu didn’t find this part particularly interesting since his void flame had a much stronger form of this ability.

Other benefits he received from the bloodline included the usual physical strength boost, though it didn’t matter much to him since his physical strength was already so high. Another interesting ability he gained was the power to instantly create weapons, well, they weren’t really weapons. He raised his palm and claws appeared. He didn’t think they could do much for now, but they still had some potential.

He waved his hand and the claws disappeared.

Apart from that, he also gained something else. This wasn’t an ability exactly, but some sort of affinity – an affinity for violence. This helped boost his strength and endurance even more when he entered berserker-like states.

Xiang Yu felt this might come in handy for his war god form.

From the Black Tortoise, he received the ability to create instant qi barriers around himself and others. The barriers could also reflect incoming damage as long as it wasn’t more than twice the strength of the barrier. Xiang Yu felt this was another interesting ability, he couldn’t wait to see how it scaled.

There was also shell regeneration, but since he wouldn’t be in the Black Tortoise form anytime soon, he felt it wasn’t that useful.

Other boosts included earth and water affinity, the ability to heal himself and others, increased enlightenment, resistance to status effects, and extended lifespan.

Speaking of lifespan, Xiang Yu had never felt this was something to worry about. A normal Golden Core cultivator would normally have an average lifespan of about five hundred years. But for him, using the law of fate, he could sense that his lifespan was well over a hundred million years.

Quite overkill, right?

Well, most of it came from his stellar constellation physique, which gave him the lifespan of stars. The rest came from his transcendent dao body.

Before he could integrate the new bloodlines into the daily stimulation cycle with the others, he also had to give them a few buffs just like he did with the others. Otherwise, they might not be able to keep up.

Since he still had all sorts of bloodline essences from raiding the demon tower, Xiang Yu decided to use fission and fusion just like before to get some compatible abilities.

From the legendary category, Shadow Tiger and Golden Turtle were perfect matches for White Tiger and Black Tortoise respectively, with most of their abilities being fusible. Apart from those two, he also picked other bloodlines that were compatible and used his skill on them, separating the interesting abilities and fusing them into the two, strengthening the bloodlines.

Once he was done, the two had received quite the boost overall. Though it didn’t birth any new abilities, all existing abilities were greatly enhanced and some existing weaknesses were patched up.

“This should be enough for a starting point,” Xiang Yu thought.

He then directed his attention to the other half of his bloodline where the dragon and phoenix bloodlines were. He extracted noble blood essence from the two, but he didn’t instantly use it. Even if they were the same noble blood level, his bloodline had evolved quite a bit and couldn’t be compared to these two newer ones.

He diluted the phoenix and dragon bloodline essences slowly until he felt them reach roughly the same level as the White Tiger and Black Tortoise bloodline essences. After that, he moved the condensed bloodlines into the other half of his bloodline field where the Black Tortoise and White Tiger were fighting it out.

The instant the other two were introduced, Xiang Yu could finally somewhat feel that violence was going on. The four bloodlines began attacking each other in all directions, each fighting to dominate the others.

“It seems I miscalculated a little,” he thought as he observed the dragon and phoenix bloodlines. Although he had done his best to dilute them, it seemed they were still a bit stronger.

Still, this wasn’t a bad thing. This little edge wasn’t enough to completely overwhelm the other mythical bloodlines. Instead, it helped stimulate their growth potential even more, helping them progress more easily toward overcoming both the phoenix and dragon bloodlines.

Within just a few minutes, the two new bloodlines managed to reach equal footing with the original bloodlines. Although it was just diluted noble blood, it was still something, Xiang Yu thought with a smile.
