The Empress, Li Yao and Xiang Yu sat together at a round table.

“So, what do we do about the Beast God? Do we take his offer?” Xiang Yu asked.

The Empress shook her head.

[No, we can’t. He’s obviously lying. And even if he isn’t, there is no way he could beat a Sage,] the Empress said. [There’s also the possibility that the Sage let him think he wasn’t being controlled, but in reality it’s all part of her plan. Wasn’t it the same for the Asura God?] the Empress said.

Xiang Yu nodded. That made sense. Teaming up with him had more dangers than benefits.

“What is there to talk about? I’ll just go there and slap him to death,” Li Yao said.

“No.”

Xiang Yu and the Empress spoke at the same time.

She shrank back. “Fine, I was just saying,” she said.

[From now on, you are grounded and can’t go out anymore,] the Empress said.

“It’s not like I want to go out anyway,” Li Yao mumbled under her breath. She then glanced at Xiang Yu and smiled mischievously.

Xiang Yu felt a chill run down his spine. Was she planning to dual cultivate all the time when she was here? Dammit, he was getting the shorter end of the stick after all. Wait, he remembered the exp gain from before and smiled. Maybe it wasn’t so bad after all.

[What are you guys doing?] she asked, and the two instantly became alert.

[Anyway, we don’t have a way to deal with him at the moment, so we can only stay in the barrier and build our strength,] she said.

Xiang Yu nodded. He glanced at Li Yao, thinking to himself that her combat level was about half-step immortal. If she could enter the tribulation realm, she should be able to rival an Earth Immortal. But he had said that he was just a step away from the Heavenly Immortal realm. If he wasn’t bluffing, then they’d need more than that.

The Empress did the same.

Li Yao felt a shiver. “Why are they looking at me like that?” she wondered.

[I’ll go rest for now,] the Empress said.

[You guys…] she blushed slightly. [Do whatever you want,] she said before disappearing.

Only Li Yao and Xiang Yu were left, the two looking at each other. Li Yao placed her hand on the table between them. The table instantly turned to mist. She moved over and sat on Xiang Yu’s lap.

“What are you doing? Do you know how much that table is worth?” he asked.

“Do you know how much this is worth?” Li Yao asked, pushing her chest onto Xiang Yu. When Xiang Yu looked, he noticed a vial between her breasts.

“White Tiger bloodline?” His eyes practically turned into hearts as he reached for it.

“Not so fast. Do you know how much trouble I went through to get this?” she asked, catching his hand.

His expression tensed. “What are your terms?” he asked, his expression hardening. He had to get this no matter what. Looks like he was going to let his junior sister bully him a bit. It wasn’t that he liked it or anything.

Li Yao and Xiang Yu looked at each other with serious expressions. Suddenly, Li Yao broke out in laughter.

Xiang Yu stared at her in confusion.

“Hahaha, why are you so serious?” she asked, laughing. “I was getting it for you anyway, so why would you need to pay for it?” she said. “Besides…” she spoke, holding his chin, “I don’t need to bribe my husband to do things to him,” she said as she leaned in and kissed him passionately.

After they separated, she placed the vial in his hands. “Think of it as a wedding gift,” she said.

“Damn, I look so cool right now,” she thought.

Suddenly, she felt something move under her shirt. “Wait, that’s—” She was about to move to catch it, but Xiang Yu noticed it first.

“What’s this?” Xiang Yu asked, catching something moving under Li Yao’s shirt. He then retrieved it. It was another vial. He used his appraisal and noticed that it was the Black Tortoise bloodline.

“Wife, when did you get this? Were you hiding it to surprise me? I’m so touched,” Xiang Yu spoke in excitement.

“Umm, yeah,” Li Yao responded.

Li Yao thought to herself that it wasn’t like that at all. She had stolen it from one of the Black Tortoise clan elders. She was planning to use the first one to act cool and then use this one to blackmail her senior brother. She glanced down at her chest. It was fine when she had hidden two, but taking one out had made the other one loose, and it had fallen out.

She started fondling her breasts. “Hmm, are they too small?” she wondered. “Does senior brother like them big or small?”

As she was wondering this, she then noticed Xiang Yu, who was looking to the side. “Junior sister, it’s not the time for that yet. Why don’t you wait until I’ve refined the bloodlines? Then we can…” he spoke.

“Ah… yes… I’ll cultivate too,” she said, jumping from his lap and running away.

Xiang Yu watched her leave, thinking to himself that his wife was quite cute when she wasn’t trying to tie him up. He then looked at the vials in his hand. She had even gone to such a dangerous place just to get him this. What a nice wife.

His expression then turned serious as he stared at the two bloodlines. He thought to himself that just like the Phoenix and Dragon, all the four mythical beasts didn’t seem to get along. This meant he couldn’t merge them to either of the two bloodlines he already had or even perform fission on them and transfer some features to his existing bloodlines.

Actually, he might be able to since his two bloodlines had already advanced quite a bit above the normal mythical bloodlines. Even so, he felt that would be a loss. If he could get these four to the same level as his existing bloodlines, not only would he gain new abilities, but he would also be able to increase the violence between the bloodlines exponentially.

What’s more than two enemies? Well, four of them. With this four-way enmity, the bloodlines would be able to constantly stimulate each other to levels never before seen.

Just one problem though… how was he supposed to incorporate these weaker bloodlines into his routine without them being instantly devoured?
