Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 404: Plasma

Chapter 404: Plasma

“Haa… what the fuck is all of this?” Rael mumbled.

He wasn’t even sure where to start. Not only did this Law lack a description, it was also one of the most overpowered things he had ever seen.

But how is this going to work exactly…? I can turn all my Fire, Water, Ice, and Lightning skills into the [Plasma] variants, but won’t that just make all the skills the same? Well… guess I’ll find out later.

He couldn’t see how turning Ice into Plasma would be any different from turning Fire into Plasma. But even so, as he pressed on the first option, it was time he found out.

Pretty vague, Rael thought, a grin forming on his face.

“What if I turn myself into a construct, can I have infinite mana?” Rael asked. “I’m sure I can select my next race to be a construct. So? System?”

“You answer whenever I ask you questions, but you’re too shy to actually speak to me, huh?” Rael grumbled. “So why can’t I?”

However, no answer came. Clearly, he had pissed off the being who was in charge of speaking to him.

Anyhow, even if he couldn’t get infinite mana, he could make an overpowered puppet that would be the best of both worlds.

Jashin, maybe? Rael smiled. If only it wasn’t that hard to fool Solenne, I’d replace Jashin in a heartbeat.

Anyhow, there was still more to check out, the [Plasma] variant skill.

I do have the Water Lover skill that makes a permanent rain cloud appear above me, but I don’t really want plasma to rain down on me. Rael shook his head and decided to go for something mild and simple first.

I use this skill pretty much all the time, at least passively. It gives me a chonky increase to fire damage, nearly +4090% increase in fact.

Therefore, Rael didn’t hesitate further and pressed “Yes.”

To his surprise, the conversion was instant.

<Ding!>

Plasmaforged Arts (Legendary – Plasma Variant) [Level 400 | MAX Level Reached]

Attack Accuracy: +2,000%

Weapon Damage: +8,000%

Plasma-Based Damage Bonus: +400% when using Plasma-infused weapons or abilities.

Attack Speed increased by +500%

1. Ionized Conduction (Passive): Plasma-based strikes arc to nearby targets, dealing 30% splash damage to up to 3 additional enemies. Arc chaining gains range and intensity the faster you move.

2. Every time you kill an enemy, receive a Plasma Shield that blocks damage equal to 50% of your total HP. Stackable up to 10 Plasma Shields. Lasts until all of them have been broken, or 1 hour has passed.

3. If you attack while at maximum speed, your damage increases by 2~4 times.

Seeing the new skill, Rael was left speechless. While the damage had dipped from +4090 fire damage increase to merely +400% Plasma Damage increase, he was sure Plasma Damage was many times superior anyway, so the increase would be insane.

So after converting it, this skill had just jumped up from being good to overpowered.

Especially the part about attack speed.

He readied his stance, then punched forward, causing the air to distort as the crater he had formed earlier suddenly widened into a glowing, scorched crater. Steam rose up from the canal, and he could even spot some molten liquid. But soon after, a shockwave resounded, sending a tingly feeling down his spine.

Was that an EMP? Rael mused with a tilt of his head.

At the same time, he couldn’t even see the speed of his own punch, that was how fast it was now.

Rael let out a hearty chuckle and decided to hold back for now. After all, the amount of destruction he could cause by going all out was severe.

That was why Rael simply straightened his posture and jumped into the sky. Miniature arcs of bluish-white plasma crackled around him, but he didn’t pay much attention to them.

Instead, he walked on the air, slowly heading toward the capital, Indra.

I really wish it was possible to get in touch with Seryn. Too bad after their memories got wiped, they were tossed out of my friends list, Rael thought with a sigh.

However, as he was about to speed up his pace, he suddenly felt a powerful pressure right above him. Just in time, his Foresight showed him a glimpse of what would happen.

Someone would appear out of nowhere and grab him by the neck, and that someone was none other than the Hollow King Kareth himself.

Rael’s eyes narrowed as he began counting down in his mind, and right as Kareth was supposed to grab his neck, he took a step backward.

At the same time, Kareth appeared with his hand extended, but when he realized he had completely missed Rael, a profound look appeared on his face.

“Have we met before?” Kareth asked with a smile. “I fail to believe I picked someone of your caliber at random.”

“Would you believe me if I told you that your memory was wiped? That’s why you can’t remember me,” Rael replied cheekily.

Kareth rolled his eyes. “No force in the universe can forcefully wipe my memories. So I’d say you are lying to me.”

“Fair enough,” Rael replied plainly. “Well, that’s exactly what happened. Can you call The Beast, Zarkul, over here? Or maybe Alune? I want to talk with them.”

The moment he said those words, Kareth’s expression darkened.

“You’re not joking?”

“Nope. I’m serious,” Rael said. “We talked a few times. Once was when I was in the Depths nearly four months ago. The other time was inside your arena where I had to fight another candidate.”

So yep. The two were definitely acquainted.
