Chapter 488: Transformation
Cracks spread across the dome as flames surged outward.
Bullets continued to crash against the dome, but they weren’t as powerful as the missiles. The only thing they managed to do was cause loud screeches.
At the same time, it felt like he was being toasted alive. The dome, while protecting him against magical and physical attacks, acted as an oven in this scenario.
But even so, Evelyn still had her turn for the next five seconds.
Damn… This is not even fair, Rael thought with a sigh.
Before he could complain further, a voice resounded inside his mind, belonging to none other than Gaia herself. Google seaʀᴄh novel※fire.net
[I don’t want to give you too many hints, but… all I will say is you have the arena and the circumstance, all you’re missing is the one to connect all this chaos together,] Gaia said cryptically.
[What you do with that information is up to you, but as it stands, you can either stack resistances until your Mental Integrity runs out, or do something big.]
With those words, Gaia fell silent. However, Rael perfectly understood what she meant.
The battlefield was identical to what he had seen in his memories. The only addition was the weapons and fighter jets, but aside from that?
She said the one who could connect all the chaos together, huh? Rael mused with a faint smile.
And then, right as another bout of missiles hit his dome, Evelyn’s turn timer finally ran out.
—BOOOOOOOOOM!
The dome shattered, sending sharp fragments everywhere, including at Rael. But with surprisingly nimble moves, Rael was able to take cover behind a corpse.
And as that was the case as he heard loud whistling coming from every side, Rael finally decided to use his Mental Integrity to turn the tides of this game.
<Mental Integrity: 6,239% → 3,239%>
He spent 3,000 Mental Integrity in one go, and what he did was pretty simple.

<Beast King Transformation>

<Requirements have been temporarily nullified!>
<Appearance modifications have been made…>
<Secret Transformation Unlocked!>
Noticing the last part, Rael raised a brow in confusion. But before he could ponder on it, his body suddenly began to morph.
It was similar to the dragon transformation, but because this was happening in the Mind Realm, he didn’t feel any pain. If anything, he didn’t feel much of anything as his body grew to a colossal size.
After just a few moments, the transformation finished, and the moment it did, he overlooked the entire battlefield calmly.
The humans looked like ants, and the fighter jets looked no bigger than toys. Yet when he focused his gaze on one of the fighter jets, he saw a peculiar reflection.
His dragon scales remained, but instead of his usual dragon head, there was a single dark green hydra head. Not only that, his neck was covered in a full golden lion mane.
He looked nearly identical to the figure he had seen back then. Except he had one head, whereas the figure had several.
But in the end, the differences were minor.
With that in mind, Rael extended his hand and grabbed one of the fighter jets. Then, by barely exerting his strength, he crushed the fighter jet in his grasp.
Yet that wasn’t all, as despite barely using strength, the shockwave from crushing the fighter jet expanded outward, knocking down all jets flying around. The heads of the people who shot weapons at him exploded as well.
It was clear that this transformation was made for destruction, and before long, the pop-up he had been waiting to see finally appeared.
<Ding!>
<You have unlocked: Partial Supreme Beast Transformation>
<Effects: ???>
<Supreme Bonuses: ???>
<Notice: Due to the transformation happening inside a Supreme-Tier Mind Realm Domain, the effects are invisible. To see the effects, you must achieve this transformation outside of the Mind Realm.>
Hah… what a bunch of bullshit, Rael thought with a sigh. But I do feel stronger, so it’s whatever.
And that bit of strength was clearly enough as all the bullets and missiles that came flying his way made contact with his platinum scales and bounced off.
Just like that, the tables had turned against Evelyn, who, after his turn was over, hadn’t made a single move yet. He was a bit confused as to why that was the case.
But he soon realized why.
<Evelyn ???’s Mental Integrity: 3,400% → 3,000%>
<Mental Integrity: 3,239% → 3,234%>
<Mental Integrity: 3,234% → 3,229%>
<Mental Integrity: 3,229% → 3,224%>
Noticing that his Mental Integrity was going down, Rael froze for a moment.
Yet the moment he did, he soon realized that the drainage stopped. To test, he took another step, and to his surprise, the Mental Integrity went down again.
<Mental Integrity: 3,224% → 3,219%>
Aha… so it’s movement based, isn’t it? Rael deduced right away.
With every movement he made, a little bit of his Mental Integrity drained. It wasn’t a lot, but it would very quickly add up if he left it unchecked.
But as he thought about it, he quickly reached one conclusion.
I don’t really need to move, at least not yet. And… with over 3,000 Mental Integrity, it would take me 50 minutes of straight moving to drain it.
And he knew for a fact that this game wouldn’t take 50 minutes. After all, in less than two minutes, already so much had happened.
Therefore, Rael focused back up and summoned something silly.
<Mental Integrity: 3,219% → 3,174%>
Beneath him, a giant hoverboard appeared. And just like that, he could move without losing Mental Integrity.
He knew she could turn the hoverboard into glitter again, but for some reason, she didn’t do it.
Instead, he watched on as the battlefield suddenly twisted. The fighter jets and soldiers vanished, and less than a few seconds later, the battlefield morphed to a place he was very familiar with.
It was a city in the crater, and it was none other than Celestara.
There were people gathered around, throwing pitchforks, and some even tossed their weapons at him. On the other hand, there was a minority who cheered for him.
While he didn’t understand what Evelyn’s goal was, he decided to cast a massive blanket over Celestara.
But the moment he tried that, his eyes widened at the pop-up that appeared.
<Ding!>
<It is not your turn!>
<Penalty -500% Mental Integrity>
<Mental Integrity: 3,174% → 2,674%>
“…”
“What the fuck?”
