Chapter 493: Rael The Platinum Candy Aisle

Chapter 493: Rael, The Platinum Candy Aisle

“It’s a pretty neat skill,” Rael remarked with a smile. “I thought it would be higher ranked, though.”

Kareth raised a brow. “It’s Divine ranked. What’s so low about it?”

“Well, Divine is only the first rarity in the Cosmic Tier. It’s like a common rarity but for gods,” Rael replied with a hum. “Not saying that it’s bad, though. I can see the uses here.”

Although slightly angered, Kareth decided to hold back. Instead, he gave Rael a quick lesson.

“Like all skills, this shouldn’t be too difficult to wield… You’re in your dragon form still, so use the Dragon Force to shape the skill that would let you take control of people.”

Rael wasn’t exactly shaping the skill, but he understood what Kareth had in mind regardless. Therefore, with a single thought, he focused on the skill Marionette Dominion.

It was basically Synaptic Hijack, but nearly 10 ranks higher.

When he focused that particular skill inside his heart and dissolved it, Rael felt a wave of power wash over him.

But unlike the many skills he had dissolved before, he wasn’t sure where to send the mana. It was almost as if there was some kind of barrier in place to protect him, and it only activated whenever he moved his strange dissolved mana.

What even is this Mana Type? Rael wondered, then shook his head. There was an encyclopedia literally in front of him.

“What’s the Mana Type of this skill?” Rael asked. “Also, where should I send it?”

“Mana Type? I don’t look at those when I use my abilities, but if you do have to know, then the mana type is Psychic. As for the affinity, it counts as two. Mind and Soul,” Kareth replied patiently.

And of course, the next answer made Rael realize that this guy might not be the best teacher.

“Uhh… It should make a whooshing sound if you get it right. Just keep trying or something. I don’t remember what I used,” Kareth said matter-of-factly.

I should hire this guy as a teacher in Celestara. Gotta build a school first, though, Rael thought with a scoff. Then, he decided to try just that.

The brain, body, his horn, and then eventually, his eyes. It didn’t seem like any of the normal places would work, and he wasn’t sure where else he could send the skill.

Puppetry works through gestures, but this isn’t puppetry… What the fuck is up with this? Rael thought.

And in the heat of the moment, he let go of the Psychic Mana, letting it flow naturally through his body. It was something he had never done before because he thought it would make him explode somehow.

But to his genuine surprise, the Psychic Mana flowed by itself and eventually spread out equally across his body. It didn’t seem volatile in the slightest. It was almost more natural than what he had been initially doing, as with this, he could expel the Psychic Mana from whichever part of his body he wished.

I should do more masochistic experiments… Rael sighed. Not that I’m a masochist or anything.

Yet with those thoughts in mind, Rael focused on the Psychic Mana that rested in his horn. Then, with a simple thought, he expelled it toward Kareth.

It was expelled in the form of a white pulse of energy. It was basically invisible, and it looked incredibly innocent. But to Kareth, who got to experience it firsthand, a smile couldn’t help but tug at his lips as the effects came into view.

“Not bad,” Kareth remarked with a nod. “Next time, synthesize the entire skill so you have more versatility when casting it.”

“Sure,” Rael replied with a smile, channeling the mana back into his heart.

It seemed like despite the skill’s cost of 1 Trillion MTP, he had only used a little over 500,000 Dragon Force.

It should’ve cost me around 1,000,000 Dragon Force. Is it because of the synthesis? Rael mused, scrapping that thought as it didn’t matter much at the moment.

He could actually deal damage to strong people now. Sure, 0.01% seemed like a little amount, but considering Kareth’s HP was in the Tier 50 range, it was insane damage.

“Are we just going to ignore the elephant in the room?” Vatyra spoke up, snapping Rael out of his thoughts as everyone suddenly turned toward her.

“This little dragon shit just channeled a synthesized skill throughout his entire body,” she said, narrowing her eyes. “I take dibs.”

“I’m not interested,” Rael replied flatly.

“You’re a snack in the candy aisle now.” Kareth tapped his shoulder with a smile. “On a more serious note… I’ve grown used to you achieving something way beyond your level. You’ve already learned the skill I wanted you to learn, and you also figured out a method to use it without issues.”

With those words, he suddenly began to float off his feet, and so did Chronos, who hovered right beside him.

“Is that it…?” Rael asked, confused. “I don’t mean to sound stupid or anything, but I dueled all of you, and all I get is a ring upgrade and a skill? Sure, the skill is good and all… But you’re the Supreme Monsters. Vatyra still owes me a skill, but you—”

“Let me stop you right there,” Kareth interjected. “I know what you’re talking about, but as I’ve already said, you must wait until the ceremony. That is when I will reveal the true purpose for selecting a successor…”

However, with the sudden bout of silence, a small smile appeared on his lips as he suddenly snapped his fingers.

Before Rael could even realize what had happened, he found himself standing in another place entirely. It was the Sathmir Continent, the same exact position where he had stood before beginning his fight with Zarkul. Follow current novels on N()velFire.net

But despite the sudden change in location, the people remained.

Kareth lazily pointed toward the silver tree in the distance, his smile widening.

“I lied when I said that was all. Truthfully, I have prepared a present for you…”

Lowering his finger, he approached Rael, placing a hand over his shoulder.

“Enter the Silver Willow Tree.”
