“Hmm? Are you back already?” Nyx said, furrowing her brows. “You weren’t even gone for longer than a few hours. Are you sure you don’t want to back off so we can continue talking about girly things without a certain pervert in the room?”

Why does everyone keep calling me a pervert?

Anyhow…

“I’ll be leaving again in a bit. Also, do you see anything odd about me?”

Ever since Rael returned to his human form, his hair had gotten even longer, and there were many more black outlines now.

If anything, he looked a little cooler.

Though, when he spotted the mirror on the fridge, Rael realized that he actually looked like an idiotic emo.

“Are you sure you want me to answer that question?”

“N-No. It’s fine. Can you give me a haircut?”

Nyx looked baffled.

Still, right as she was about to open her mouth and retort, she seemed to get an idea, then smirked widely.

“Okay. Get me a hair trimmer.”

Heh.

Rael did just that and also made sure to buy the kind of hair trimmer that would prevent him from going bald.

Since even though Rael couldn’t read her mind, he knew for a fact that she was going to make him go bald in a fraction of a second if she had something like that in her hands.

And so, when Rael handed it over to her, Nyzzara finally spoke up.

“Don’t you think you should do it elsewhere and not in the kitchen? I don’t want his hair getting in my food when I eat next time.”

“Next time?” Rael and Nyx said in unison.

Nyzzara flinched, but then shrugged, realizing that there really was no coming back from that.

But she was right.

So with that in mind, Rael and Nyx moved outside to the front of the mansion. Nyzzara followed after them since she didn’t really have anything better to do.

And when Rael bought a chair and sat down, Nyx finally grabbed the hair trimmer he had bought and, after putting it on the lowest setting, tried to make him go bald.

But instead, the hair trimmer began moving Nyx’s hands by itself, controlling her every move and causing her to give Rael an insanely accurate haircut in just a few seconds.

“Huh…?”

“Heh.”

Rael summoned a mirror and glanced at himself.

It seemed like most of his hair was still platinum, but the inner part of his hair tips was black. Now, he looked like a slightly less edgy emo.

In the end, he liked it.

And right as Nyx was about to overpower the hair trimmer’s control, Rael simply snapped his fingers and vanished, reappearing several galaxies away on a planet he just so happened to control while he was out collecting them for income.

It was a planet filled to the brim with slimes, so there really wasn’t anything special here.

But this wasn’t really his destination.

Instead, he just wanted to run away from Nyx.

What he really wanted was to get a few power-ups in the form of galaxies.

Empty galaxies.

Back when Vatyra showed him the galaxies, Rael felt something odd about them. They all had this lifeless feel, and even from a distance, he was able to sense those galaxies.

Well, not anymore, since he devoured them, but in all fairness, he could just follow the same feeling and find another, then another. Yeah.

It was fairly simple.

So Rael decided to try it out.

He closed his eyes and then focused on all the mana he could sense all around the universe. Obviously, he wouldn’t be able to do this naturally, but given the nature of his Law of Time, he could abuse his infinite mana.

A few minutes flew by swiftly, and although Rael didn’t expect to find anything soon, since the universe was quite big, he stumbled upon a nearly dead galaxy only a few trillion kilometers away.

He directly opened a portal to that location and stepped through. The moment he arrived, he was surprised to see some fire embers floating around. Clearly, this galaxy was destroyed because someone fought here.

Granted, there was also a high chance that some supernova had just naturally detonated.

If that really was what happened, then it would make more sense.

Anyhow…

By now, Rael sat at a comfortable 24.89% Mastery for his Law of Infinity.

It was by no means bad, but seeing how much he could get by killing powerful beings like the Ancient Primordials made him kind of want to storm their home and launch a couple of galaxies at them.

Though he might not be able to get the same amount of power as he did last time, since Gaia wasn’t around.

Letting out a sigh, Rael decided to just focus on the little things.

Those little things being absorbing several dozen galaxies.

“Hmm~”

Rael sat in the kitchen of his mansion and ate some breakfast.

In front of him were Nyzzara and Evelyn, who were also eating some food.

Nyx was working at the moment, and as for Anastasia, Vatyra, and Uriel, they decided to take Uriel to kill some weak monsters.

Goblins.

Obviously, Rael wanted to go too. Though, upon hearing that they’d take Uriel shopping afterward, Rael changed his mind.

After all, shopping with women was like starting an unskippable cutscene.

In a way, his son was going to go through a canon event.

Surely, it would strengthen his resolve or whatnot.

Heh.

“Hehe…”

“Is everything alright?” Evelyn asked. “You’ve been staring at us and grinning for the past five minutes.”

Rael shrugged.

“My bad. Though, did you steal a drink while I was away?”

She avoided his gaze. As for Nyzzara, she patted Evelyn’s shoulder and said:

“She did. But it’s your fault for being gone for a week.”

Fair.

Though in that week, Rael had made some considerable progress.

And after taking one last bite of his breakfast, he decided to check it out.
