Capítulo 841: The Skips
“Just kill me…”
“No,” Rael replied instantly, then crouched down beside the goblin.
“I get that you’re a small-time goblin and all, and while I can beat your ass over and over again, the fact that you can talk, and also the fact that this whole tower’s special as shit, I’m guessing you know more than you let on.”
Rael smiled.
“Considering you already know how this goes, you’ve died and come back many times. So tell me what I want to know, or I will trap your soul in infinite despair.”
With that, he fell silent, and so did the goblin king. Obviously, he was considering Rael’s words, since although this had been torture for him, at least he could move.
Having his soul trapped in despair for all of eternity… that didn’t sound like something he would rather have.
So with that in mind, the goblin king let out a sigh and said:
“What do you wish to know?”
A victorious look appeared on Rael’s face, followed by his first question:
“Where’s everyone located?”
“On the fifth floor is the first safe zone… that’s where every single person who has entered the tower went. Beyond that, I’m not sure.”
The fifth floor, huh?
Did that mean that every five floors, there was a safe zone?
Or maybe the tower only had a few floors, so it was like a halfway point?
No…
Judging by how easy the first floor was, Rael would put his balls on the line that this was one of those towers that were either infinite or had 100 floors in total.
He was obviously not in the mood to climb all those floors, but then again, if he had to, then he would.
“Good. In that case, tell me about floor skipping. Is that possible?”
“It is,” the goblin king replied.
He paused for a moment, then continued:
“Once you enter the safe zone, you have the option of either going to the next floor or directly challenging a boss and directly jumping to the next safe zone.”
“Hold on, does that mean I can do that for as long as I want?” Rael asked.
The goblin king nodded.
“You can… I don’t think there’s a limit. At least, it’s not—”
Before the goblin king could finish saying whatever it was saying, its head burst into pieces, and the several pieces fell right on Rael, causing his brows to furrow slightly.

<Ding!>
Hmm…
Rael stared at the pop-ups for a moment, then decided to just move on, since he knew for a fact that this was some kind of intervention. If it really was though, then that meant he was already on the radar of whoever was in charge of this big-ass tower.
Still, Rael was also a bit optimistic, since he also knew that if he were to just challenge the boss every time he got to a safe zone, then he’d be able to reach a really high floor. That was mainly because Rael could just use the Law of Infinity.
After all, he had access to it, and it wasn’t like anyone really tried limiting him either.
Aside from minor stat and passive changes, of course.
But now that I think about it, the stat change earlier kind of made my skill better. I should try using more of my passives, since they’ll just be upgraded, Rael thought.
Then he went ahead and checked his stats after putting in all the points wherever he wanted.

Like the big boy that Rael was, he obviously put all of his stats into strength. He should probably put some into draconic intelligence, since that might spice up his brain a little bit.
If only…
It would only give him extra mana and spell power. Since he wanted to play around with a sword like a child, he decided to avoid it for the time being, since if he was certain of anything, then whenever he starts killing all the bosses, his stats would go through a massive ass upgrade.
And hopefully, he’d be able to find what he was looking for.
Anyhow… Rael decided to share what he found out with another person, that person being none other than Nyx.
Nyx, wait for me when you reach floor 5, okay? We’ll be able to speedrun the shit out of this tower. Trust me, Rael said with a smirk.
[Hmm…? Sure? How do we catch Renoir though? I’m sure he’s trying his hardest to go up as well,] Nyx replied.
At her words, Rael just shrugged.
Let’s just get to the fifth floor and wait for him.
[Wait for him…? I’m afraid he might already be on the sixth floor or higher. I, myself, am already on the 4th floor. It’s a maze or something, but I’m standing in front of the exit right now. Had you not called, I would’ve gone through as well,] Nyx replied.
Rael froze for a moment, realizing that he was a little slow compared to the others.
Still… it was fine.
So long as the two of them can climb enough floors and reach something like the 20th floor, then they could just wait for Renoir.
After all, there was no way he could clear floors faster than them, especially when he had no idea about the skip.
…Right?
