Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 884 - 884: Meeting Again

A few minutes passed as Renoir just continued screaming without holding back his voice. Naturally, he attracted a lot of attention.

People gathered, stared at him, and some even laughed at him. Rael was one of those people who laughed, of course.

Though that wasn’t the end of it, as after another minute, Gaia finally vanished once more. This time, she likely went to fetch Eris. And it seemed like she was right, as the moment she came back, she held Eris right beside her.

It was just that, unlike how she did it with Renoir, Eris didn’t seem to be in any pain. If anything, she looked even better than Rael did, and he should’ve gotten the easy express. It was almost like Gaia was doing this on purpose…

Was she really?

Hmm…

Whatever the case may be, Rael didn’t pay that minor detail any attention and instead, he focused on Eris and Renoir. Unlike Eris, who was staring at Renoir with tears in her eyes and trembling legs, he hadn’t even realized she had arrived.

That was probably because he hadn’t felt her mana in a very, very long time.

Still… They can’t just be silent. Should I chime in?

The moment he had that thought, Eris began approaching Renoir. Then she leaned down beside him and brushed his hair back. It was a kind and affectionate gesture, which puzzled Renoir greatly, since who out of every single person here would even dare to do something like this to him?

Rael?

No… Rael would probably kick him in the balls and then try to toss him off some rooftop. After all, that was exactly what he would do to Rael in this situation.

However, the touch was way too gentle and feminine for this to be Rael, and so, when he eventually got over his little screaming fest, he glanced up and spotted Eris.

He froze for a moment, his mind completely blanking out. She looked just like how he remembered from all those years ago. Except she looked a lot more mature and beautiful than before… Could it be because it had been so long since he’d last seen her?

Even if he got an answer to his question, he still wouldn’t be able to utter a single word. But what was the need for words?

He felt his chest tighten, and soon enough, he just stood up and hugged her tightly. Her much smaller yet familiar frame reminded him of the past more than ever. Not to mention, the scent of roses that he remembered from the past was still fresh on her body.

And clearly, she felt the same as tears poured down her cheeks, flooding his shirt. She hugged him back even tighter, digging her nails into his back and sobbing with her head in his chest. Neither of them said anything, and that was why Rael decided not to chime in either.

<Zafira Sutekh: That is very beautiful… I can only imagine what the two of them must’ve felt after not seeing each other for so many years…>

<Lilith Sutekh: Yep. This almost makes me want to cry, to be honest. Maybe I should cry…? Rael, would you wipe my tears?>

Zafira pouted.

<Zafira Sutekh: Now’s not the time for that, you little vixen.>

<Lilith Sutekh: Humph.>

Seeing how the two of them weren’t going to separate any time soon, Rael glanced over at the women beside him and said:

“I think we should step back for a bit and let them do their thing. The last thing they probably want is us commentating on their reunion.”

Every single one of them nodded and began slowly making their way to some random inn. As for Nyx, however, she stayed close to Rael, suspiciously so. So he decided to bring it up.

“Is something the matter?”

“It’s nothing. I’ve just been wondering what the extent of your powers is,” she replied.

Rael raised a brow. “Why the sudden thought about me? I’m nothing special. Especially taking into account the people we just brought back.”

She rolled her eyes. “Nothing special is a very heavy word for someone who can practically control the dead. Hey, you don’t think you’re some kind of ancient Death God, do you?”

“I can only read the memories of the dead, I can’t exactly control them,” Rael replied with a hum, then pinched her cheek. “Now enough of this sudden curiosity. If you’re really curious about me, then enter my mind and surf around. It’s not like I’m averse to giving you access to it.”

She pouted a little. “That’s bold coming from someone who disabled their premium shop so I couldn’t buy anything.”

“I’ll enable it whenever you start paying me back and paying me rent inside my head~” Rael said, and after rustling her hair a little, he caught up to the others, who had just sat down in one of the cowboy restaurants and ordered some food.

It was basically the calm before the storm, as they realized that after Renoir and Eris had made up, they would go straight to the 500th floor and finally go back home.

It was crazy that they managed to do so much in such a short period of time. Not to mention, if Rael were to stay here, he’d be able to get that much stronger than before.

But why would he stay here?

There was nothing here that he needed aside from power. Connections? Maybe?

Welp.

Maybe I should get Reyna out of here as well? Rael wondered. I don’t think she wants to be here. Plus, having a fine craftswoman in my ranks is not too shabby in the slightest.

Speaking of, Rael was very curious how his projects went about. He made so many preparations, much like Sketa Online being connected across multiple worlds. Not to mention, that super city that he had started to build before leaving.

He was very curious how everything ended up.

Yeah…

He wanted to leave this place soon.
