Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 653: Unknown Place

Inside a luxurious room, on top of a large white bed, Daniel slowly opened his eyes. The moment he did, he felt a bit of dizziness and a headache.

His eyes couldn't properly see at first, and the scene in front of him looked blurry. After rubbing his eyes a little, the problem was solved.

However, what he saw in front of him somewhat surprised him. It was a completely luxurious room. In fact, it wouldn't be wrong to say this was the most luxurious room he had ever seen in his life.

Exactly what you would expect from the room of an ancient king, filled with extremely expensive and even strange objects, many of which he had never seen before.

But the question was: how did he even get here? The last thing he remembered was fighting that old demon. When he was about to escape with Finn's help, he failed, and the world went dark.

And after that… now he woke up here. Was it possible this place was the Demon Continent? But after thinking again, he rejected that option.

There was no way demons would be kind enough to place him in such a room and on such a bed, right? He should've woken up in a dungeon or a torture chamber.

So was this heaven? Did he actually die? But he didn't feel like he had died.

"Panel."

[Do you want to open your panel?]

"So I'm still alive." He closed the Mother System screen and organized his thoughts. From the looks of it, it was clear that he was still alive.

So what exactly was going on?

"Finn!" Suddenly he remembered the baby dragon. Finn had helped him in the final moment, and it was with his help that Daniel tried to escape.

He looked around and to his surprise saw Finn, now shrunken to a small size, sleeping beside him. It looked like Finn was having the best sleep of his life…?

Daniel stared at him with a blank face and chuckled a bit, then started patting his head. At least Finn was still with him, and luckily nothing seemed wrong with him.

He tried to get up, but suddenly he felt an extremely sharp pain all over his body, as if all his bones had been shattered.

A frown appeared on his face. How was it possible that with his recovery speed, his body wasn't healed yet? He tried using Mana Healing, but it didn't work. When he tried moving again, the pain came back.

"Maybe it's not a physical injury?" The only type of damage Mana Healing can't heal is spiritual or existence-level damage.

But he didn't have time to think because suddenly the door to his room opened. He didn't even have the chance to move or pretend to be asleep again.

But seeing who walked in left him stunned and surprised.

"Why are you looking at me like you've seen a ghost?" The young woman entered with a smile on her face, laughing when she saw his reaction.

"I didn't expect to see you." Daniel also laughed. Now he understood what had happened.

Now he understood exactly where he was and even who saved his life.

"It's been a long time since we last saw each other, and well… back then you were much healthier than you are now," Eva said with a nostalgic and happy tone.

Yes, the young woman holding a tray with a bowl on it was none other than Eva, Daniel's first friend and travel companion in the Celestial Domain.

And according to what he had heard from Andreas, she had become the disciple of the Mad Empress.

"I guess so. But it's kind of exciting in a way."

"What's exciting? That you got beaten near death and stayed unconscious for three whole days?" Eva raised an eyebrow with a mocking tone.

"Three days? I was here for three whole days?" Daniel asked in shock. He didn't expect to have been asleep so long.

And there wasn't any physical injury left on his body… so his soul really was damaged?

Eva didn't answer immediately. Instead, she handed him the tray and gestured for him to eat.

"This is a special soup made from some kind of divine beast. I don't know exactly, but my master said it can partially heal your soul injuries."

Daniel took the bowl and looked at it. The smell hit him immediately, and he felt like vomiting.

It was honestly one of the most disgusting things he had ever smelled in his life. If the smell was this awful, how terrible was the taste?

"So your master is the one who saved me?" Unfortunately, he had no choice. He had to drink the soup or else, with this level of pain, he might not even be able to walk.

He scooped the first spoonful, gathered his resolve, put it in his mouth, swallowed it, and let out a relieved sigh.

Thankfully, the taste wasn't as terrible as the smell. After drinking it, he immediately felt the pain lessen a bit. Now he was curious what beast this soup was made from.

"I don't know exactly, but three days ago my master returned with you and that baby dragon and asked me to take care of you. I didn't expect to see you again in this state." Eva explained everything she knew.

A few days ago, when her master returned with the unconscious body of her only real friend, she was terrified to death, wondering what had happened to Daniel.

One of her biggest regrets was that she hadn't gone back to see Daniel, and she had always wished to meet him again. Though she never expected to see him in such a miserable condition.

"What exactly happened to you? What did you even do to end up like this?" Eva asked with worry.

Daniel was her greatest helper and savior. If it wasn't for him, she would've been killed by the Church of Destiny long ago and never become her master's disciple.

Because of that, Daniel was really precious to her, and she felt deep gratitude toward him. Seeing him like that a few days ago truly terrified and saddened her.

During all the time they were separated, she had spent most of her days in this palace, training and getting stronger. But it seemed this boy had gotten involved in extremely dangerous events.

"Nothing special. I just killed all the Demon King's children, killed a few thousand demons, and that's all. I was just a bit unlucky and ran into a heavenly king demon." Daniel said casually while continuing to eat the soup.

"….." Eva fell completely silent from shock.
