"Right after we got separated in the Central Plains, what were you even doing until now? How did you end up fighting the Demon King's children? And how the hell did you kill thousands of demons?!" Eva asked with complete disbelief and shock.
She knew Daniel was a real monstrous prodigy. After all, she had seen his talent and power with her own eyes.
But how had he managed to reach a level where he could kill thousands of demons and even the children of the Demon King in such a short time?
And even more important than that, how did he even end up fighting them?
Even though she had spent almost all this time living here, she was very familiar with demons and the Demon King's children. She knew them well, and all of the Demon King's children were at least at the Divine Climber rank (Rank S).
Even she, with all the guidance and help from her master, one of the strongest beings in the world, still hadn't reached that level of power.
And on top of that, from what she could see, Daniel was only at the Grand Climber rank (Rank A), the same as her.
Hearing Eva's questions, Daniel decided to give a short summary of what happened after they got separated in the Central Plains.
Of course, he skipped many parts he considered unnecessary, leaving them out completely. But even with that, the more Eva listened, the more shocked and speechless she became.
Daniel's journey and experiences were far more dangerous than she ever imagined, especially the fact that he had destroyed several bases of the Corruption Worshipers and was now being hunted by all of them.
And even more unbelievable, he had obtained a baby dragon. She had seen the baby dragon lying beside Daniel, but she thought it was a creature similar to a dragon.
After all, even her master respected the Dragon race and avoided conflict with them as much as possible. She wouldn't even dare imagine that this boy had actually gotten a real baby dragon.
"That's pretty much it. That's how I ended up fighting them. What about you? After we split up in the Central Plains, what did you do? I'm curious how you even met the Mad Empress," Daniel finished explaining and then asked.
"It's better if you don't call her by that title in front of my master. She doesn't really like it," Eva said with a small laugh when she heard the nickname of her master, then gave him a warning.
"Anyway, I also…" she began, then gave a summary of everything that happened after they separated.
After they parted ways, Eva searched through many Zones of the Central Plains to find the woman she believed would help her.
Fortunately, she eventually did find her and explained her situation. At first, the woman acted like she would help and even told Eva she would take her to a place where she could hide from the Destiny Church.
But she didn't expect that after taking her out of the Central Plains, the woman brought her to a location surrounded by forces of the Destiny Church. It turned out she had sold Eva to the church.
Eva never expected a woman who had once been her parents' close friend, and someone her mother trusted with her life, to betray her and sell her out.
Apparently, the offer from the church was too tempting.
That day, with heavy injuries, Eva barely managed to escape, or at least she thought she did.
Because soon after, they surrounded her again. When she realized there was no other option, she decided to kill herself and destroy the Book of Destiny along with her.
This way, the church would never get what they wanted.
But then, to her shock, in a single moment, all the church forces were wiped out.
That was how she met her master, the woman who saved her that day and even told her that if she wanted, she could become her disciple. And if she became her disciple, no one in the world would dare hurt her or hunt her again.
She hesitated at first, but once she learned the woman's identity, she accepted immediately. She had read about the Mad Empress in her family's ancient archives and knew very well who she was, someone trustworthy and someone good.
From that point on, Eva spent all her time in her master's palace, training every day and getting stronger, so that one day she would be strong enough to take her revenge.
With her powerful talents and the teachings of one of the strongest beings in the entire world, it didn't take long for her to reach the Grand Climber rank and even conquer the fourth floor of the tower.
And she thought her growth speed was unmatched, until she saw Daniel again and felt like she got slapped in the face.
Daniel was a complete monster, even stronger than her. Even though they were in the same rank, their combat ability was like the difference between the sky and the ground.
"Compared to you, my life has been very peaceful and quiet," she added in the end.
"I didn't expect you to have the Book of Destiny all this time," Daniel said with some surprise. He knew this girl was hiding a big secret, but he didn't expect something this insane.
The Book of Destiny, one of the strongest treasures in the world, capable of altering and rewriting fate. But to use it, you had to sacrifice your lifespan.
And even the smallest change required a large amount of lifespan, not to mention big changes. But even with such a cost, the book was still incredibly powerful.
"Are you angry? I really didn't want to hide it from you, and I always felt guilty about it, but I was scared that telling you would put you in danger too," Eva said with guilt, fear, and sadness.
"Of course not. Actually, I understand." Even he wouldn't tell anyone about such a huge secret.
Even though he had helped this girl a lot and even saved her life, this was still one of the most powerful treasures in the world.
In fact, it was a treasure on the level of gods.
"Oh, right, there's something I need to give you," Daniel remembered something and took out a key from his inventory, handing it to Eva.
"What is this?"
"Well, I had a random encounter with the Hero of Destiny, and he asked me to deliver this to his only remaining descendant. He said it's the key to his tomb, the place where he left his legacy."
"What? Really? Thank you so much!" Eva said with excitement and happiness, and suddenly hugged Daniel.
"Hey, careful. Everything still hurts," Daniel laughed.
"Oh, sorry!" Eva quickly pulled back, apologizing with embarrassment. Her face even turned a little red.
"It's fine," Daniel nodded.
"Is something wrong?" he asked when he noticed Eva's expression suddenly change.
"My master just told me she wants to see you."
