"Some problems?" Daniel frowned slightly after hearing Evangelin's words, but he quickly realized what she meant.

"It's about the destruction of the religion, right?" He had always felt that the fall of the Religion of Eternity was not as simple as a demons invasion.

It was true that the Religion of Eternity and its followers had been, are, and always would be the greatest existential threat to the demon race. After all, the followers of Eternity could remove the demons' pseudo-immortality and kill them easily.

But even then, it was stupid and illogical to think that right after the Prophet's ascension, the demons suddenly had the courage to attack the Religion of Eternity, especially not without any support behind them.

Evangelin didn't respond with words. She moved her hand, and the space around them instantly changed. In the next moment, Daniel found himself standing above a church, a ruined, destroyed church.

Even though it was in ruins, its former grandeur was still obvious.

"The Church of Eternity." Daniel whispered to himself while looking around. The sky was bloody, and the ground looked abandoned and black.

In the distance, he could see parts of old city walls that once surrounded and protected the entire city.

"Is this the Holy City?"

"Correct. This place used to be the Holy City of the Religion of Eternity." Evangelin nodded and said it casually, although there was a hidden anger in her voice.

An anger that, if it erupted, could destroy the entire world.

"I don't know how much my master told you about the history, but this place used to be extremely glorious. Pilgrims from all over the world and from every continent came here to meet the Prophet."

'Told me? I lived it myself.' Daniel laughed internally but didn't interrupt her and let her continue.

"Until that cursed day happened. The day when an endless army of demons attacked this place. People who I thought were like brothers and uncles betrayed us, and millions of followers were slaughtered. The city was burned, and the church was destroyed." A cold killing intent flickered in her eyes for a moment.

"I had no choice but to run away to survive, so that one day I could take revenge and restore the religion's glory… I believed that if I reached the same level as my master before her ascension, I would be able to do everything… after all, how difficult could revenge against demons be?"

"But I was wrong… I was short-sighted, and back then I didn't know the truth." She sighed and paused for a moment, giving Daniel time to absorb everything.

"So it really wasn't just the demons." Daniel finally understood what she meant.

"Correct. The demons were only tools used to destroy everything. The ones behind it were others, and all these years I've been searching for their identities. I finally found them, and now that I think about it, it was always obvious." Evangelin said calmly, but there was clear sarcasm in her tone.

"The involvement of other religions?" Daniel sighed and guessed.

"Was it really that obvious?"

"No. I'm just too smart." He answered with a confident smile, trying to lighten the mood.

But when he saw Evangelin's cold expression, he realized his joke had zero effect.

"Seriously though, no. If there's a group that hates the Religion of Eternity enough to want to erase it, it would be the other religions. I can imagine that back then they felt their position was in danger." Daniel explained.

Eternity and immortality were extremely tempting concepts for humanity and even other races. For humans, it was like a lifelong obsession, many had always tried to achieve it.

And when a religion appeared that could give eternal life, or at least something close to it, to its followers, it was obvious that sooner or later it would become extremely famous and popular. It would eventually rise above all other religions.

And that scared the other major religions. They were afraid that the balance that had existed for centuries between them would be destroyed by the Religion of Eternity, and in the end they would be swallowed.

So they had no choice but to cooperate and find a way… and what better way than destruction?

"All your guesses are correct." Evangelin said with a hint of admiration. Something that took her years to discover, this boy understood immediately.

"As long as the other religions are still in power, they won't allow the Religion of Eternity to return." Then she added:

"From what I've heard, you're the strongest Demi-God in the world. Can't you suppress them?" Daniel asked curiously. Based on rumors, this woman was the most dangerous and strongest existence in the world. So why would she fear the other religions?

"Don't forget they have existed for thousands of years. Their trump cards, secrets, and hidden treasures are countless, and some of them could even seal or kill me." Evangelin explained casually.

If she could destroy those religions, she would have already done it long ago.

Daniel sighed. He had forgotten that their enemy wasn't a simple organization, but religions that had existed for millennia. This was far more troublesome than he imagined.

Because of that, they had no choice but to wait until he himself became a Demi-God… at least while using cautious and hidden methods.

He had some ideas, but he wasn't sure if they would work. He glanced at Evangelin and shared his thoughts.

After hearing Daniel's ideas, she paused to think. Maybe it could actually work. Even though the progress would be slow for a long time, it might be the best path.

At least until this boy became a Demi-God. And when there were two Demi-Gods on the same side, no force in this world would be able to stand against them.

A smile appeared on her face, and for the first time in a long time, she felt calm. She finally didn't have to carry this heavy burden alone, she had someone she could trust and rely on.

"And about your damaged soul, I noticed you have the Soul of Undying Dragon. I can help you heal your soul to some extent. But the best option is the dragons."

"Do you want to meet the dragons?"
