Chapter 324: Tiger's Legacy

Chen Guan and his two companions were closest to the Tiger Claw Treasure Acupoint that Zhang Chunxiang had mentioned, so they decided to check it out first.

A tiger has four claws, and there are four Tiger Claw Treasure Acupoints. The one they were heading to was just one of them.

After entering Tiger Mountain, the terrain here was one ridge after another, and the mountain path was extremely difficult to traverse.

The only saving grace was that it seemed there were no Secret Spirits in Tiger Mountain. They traveled for half a day over mountains and ridges without encountering a single Secret Spirit.

All they could see were clouds swirling halfway up the mountains, but despite the abundance of clouds, there was no Water Type.

Generally, mountains are accompanied by water, as low-lying areas caused by the terrain easily accumulate water. However, Tiger Mountain was full of rocks, with no Water Type, and the mountains were bare with barely any vegetation to be seen.

Occasionally, they could see a few tough grasses growing tenaciously in the cracks of the rocks.

By the time night fell, they still hadn't reached the Tiger Claw Treasure Acupoint.

They didn't encounter anyone along the way, and had no idea where everyone else had gone to search for the Tiger's Den.

The place was really too vast, and there were too few people who ventured in, making it difficult to encounter anyone.

After being here for so long, the three were somewhat fatigued and were worried about unknown risks at night, so they decided to rest for the night and continue the journey during the day.

The night passed peacefully, but the three were not quite in high spirits and took turns sleeping.

The next morning, the three set out again. After crossing several peaks, they finally arrived at the Tiger Claw Treasure Acupoint that Zhang Chunxiang had mentioned.

Chen Guan saw five blade-like peaks ahead, lined up next to each other and rooted in the earth.

"That should be where the Tiger Claw Treasure Acupoint is. The acupoint's eye should be in the middle of those five peaks," Zhang Chunxiang said after observing for a while.

"Let's go take a look," Chen Guan said, heading towards the blade-like peaks.

As they reached the spot Zhang Chunxiang had described, there indeed was a cave, hidden in a crack at the base of the mountain, completely invisible unless closely approached—a true masterpiece of nature.

Above the entrance of the cave, the words "Tiger Claw Acupoint" were carved.

Beside it were smaller words: "The claw acupoint of the tiger, sharp as a knife, inheriting it allows one to cut gold and break jade, and only one beast may enter to receive the inheritance."

Seeing these small inscriptions, the three were filled with many thoughts.

"Could it be that all the so-called Tiger's Dens have such inheritances?" Kuang Liu wondered.

"That should be the case. If so, that explains why there's no time limit this time. This test should conclude once all the treasure acupoint inheritances are found," Chen Guan explained.

"The current question is, can a pet only receive one inheritance from such a Tiger's Den, or can a pet receive the inheritance if we're the first to find it?" Zhang Chunxiang said, blinking.

"Make sure each of us gets one Tiger's Den inheritance to pass the test, and we'll talk about the rest later," Chen Guan said, looking at the two. "Who wants to go first?"

Chen Guan himself did not plan to let Warring States go in. He wanted to see exactly what this so-called inheritance was first; it was better to let others take the risk.

Zhang Chunxiang immediately shook her head, "If we each only have one chance, I want to check out other treasure acupoints and see how they differ from this one."

"Dao Brother, if you also want to wait a bit more, then I'll go first," Kuang Liu thought for a while and said.

"Alright," Chen Guan nodded in agreement.

Kuang Liu set down his Persian cat, allowing it to walk towards the cave.

As the Persian cat walked into the cave, the originally pitch-black interior began to glow with specks of golden light.

These golden lights were like fireflies with a golden glow, emerging from deep inside the cave and converging toward the Persian cat's body.

Bit by bit, the golden light was absorbed into the Persian cat's right front paw.

In a moment, the Persian cat's right front paw turned a golden color, shimmering with a radiant glow.

After the golden light completely vanished, the Persian cat's right front paw had entirely turned golden, distinctly different from the other three paws.

Meow!

The Persian cat uttered a cry and suddenly extended its claw towards the rock wall, and despite its previously ineffective destructive power, this claw effortlessly sliced through the hard rock like cutting tofu, leaving several claw marks.

If the Persian cat had such a powerful attack earlier, it wouldn't have been so difficult to kill a foolish bird.

"Is this some kind of body enhancement?" Chen Guan asked in surprise.

"Bobo acquired an Unparalleled Secret Skill called 'Fierce Tiger Claw,'" Kuang Liu said.

"So that's it. It turns out the inheritance is a pet secret skill," Chen Guan mused. "That means if we go to the other three Tiger Claw Treasure Acupoints, we could obtain similar Tiger Claw secret skills. I wonder if the other treasure acupoints also have the same secret skill inheritances, and if so, what are those secret skills? Could they also be Fierce Tiger Claw?"

Zhang Chunxiang was not focused on this, instead smiling at Kuang Liu and teasing, "So your cat's name is Bobo. That name seems a bit at odds with your image. Did you come up with it yourself?"

Kuang Liu blushed, "It was a casual choice. Because it's a Persian cat, I named it Bobo."

Chen Guan had no interest in their conversation, contemplating, "If all these treasure acupoints have Tiger's Den inheritances, can a pet acquire several secret skills? If possible, as long as I move quickly enough, wouldn't Warring States gain many Unparalleled Secret Skills?"

Warring States itself had no secret skills, and its talent was only loyalty, which made its combat effectiveness much weaker compared to other pets.

Now that there was an opportunity to acquire combat secret skills, even obtaining a few would dramatically enhance its strength compared to before.

"Chunxiang, could you help me map out the locations of the treasure acupoints you're aware of? I'm willing to pay for the information," Chen Guan, not versed in Feng Shui Secret Skills and unaware of treasure acupoint locations, had to buy the information.

Knowing the value of the treasure acupoints now, it made no sense for Zhang Chunxiang to help for free.

Zhang Chunxiang, possessing such ability, surely discovered the most treasure acupoints.

Others unfamiliar with Feng Shui Secret Skills would have to rely on their luck.

"If you sell me your Rouge, I'll mark out all the treasure acupoints for you," Zhang Chunxiang said with a mischievous smile.

"Then forget it," Chen Guan shook his head.

No matter how good the secret skill, it couldn't surpass the value of Rouge.

Moreover, it wasn't certain yet whether a pet could receive multiple inheritances.

If each pet could only gain one Tiger's Den inheritance, Chen Guan wouldn't trade Rouge for such an opportunity.

"Just kidding," Zhang Chunxiang picked up a long stone and began drawing on the ground.

Before long, she drew a rough map of Tiger Mountain, marking several locations on it.

"These are the areas where I currently speculate the treasure acupoints are located. The approximate locations are within these areas; you should be able to find them if you search carefully," Zhang Chunxiang explained as she drew, trying to be as detailed as possible for them.
