Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 1079: The True Emperor Acts Son of the Plane

There was no land, no plants, no other living beings, only faint white mist that filled the heavens and earth. Within that boundless fog, a hazy colossal phantom appeared, vast as a star. It resembled a woman clad in a splendid golden-white imperial robe, adorned with an imperial crown, holding a sun in her palm. Endless crimson flames fiercely blazed behind her.

Though only the upper half of her form projected here, it already spanned hundreds of thousands of kilometers, exuding an indescribably terrifying pressure that twisted the surrounding space and time.

The towering phantom lowered her head, gazing at Shi Feirou hidden in the clouds below. Her deep, majestic voice resounded across the world. "Feirou, you entered the outer heavens' war city and summoned me from the heavens. What is so important?"

"Yes, Master. I indeed have something urgent to report." From within the mist, Shi Feirou's indistinct figure spoke reverently. "When the ancestral land emerged, Little Tong soon arrived there and was utterly shaken by what she witnessed. In less than two years, equivalent to fifteen day-cycles of the vast world, a man advanced from ordinary into a transcendent, and cultivated all the way to the peak of the monarch."

Boom!

An unimaginably powerful will erupted from the towering phantom, shaking the skies. Her tone carried shock. "Fifteen day-cycles? Are you certain there is no mistake?"

To go from mortal to becoming a peak ancient-titan-level monarch in only a year and a half was something that left even the true emperor astonished.

Shi Feirou answered with utmost respect, "Little Tong has verified it many times. Indeed, he cultivated to such a height in only fifteen day-cycles. Over fifty years ago, the ancestral land connected with the vast world and entered the Transcendence Era. It also unearthed the inheritances left by you and the others. With those inheritances, the ancestral land rose swiftly, establishing a force named the Federation. In a few decades, it produced three ancient-titan-level experts, more than ten titan-level monarchs, and dozens of mythical-level war generals.

"However, the surrounding border was guarded by a civilization with a slumbering true spirit, a force known as the Purgatory Clan, which was waging war with several neighboring civilizations. At first, the Federation was at a disadvantage, teetering on the brink of annihilation. Then, a prodigy named Chen Chu appeared and rose to prominence. In just over a year, the Purgatory Demon Clan was utterly destroyed. Even the true demon, at the peak of the true spirit level and awakened from its slumber, was suppressed and slain."

"What? A peak ancient-titan-level man slaying a peak true spirit?" The True Radiant Sky Emperor's voice faltered in disbelief.

"...Chen Chu himself wasn't the one who slayed that demon," Shi Feirou admitted, embarrassed at her exaggeration. "The ancestral land not only birthed an extraordinary prodigy, but also an aberrant colossal beast whose talent was equally staggering. According to the records Little Tong found, that beast was first discovered around ten day-cycles ago. At the time, it was only level 7, yet now it has also grown to the peak of the ancient titan level."

Shi Feitong reported the Destructive Dragon Emperor's existence in detail, along with its rate of growth and the mysterious summoning connection it shared with Chen Chu. She described its invincibility among peers, and its ability to fight across realms, tearing apart enemies beyond its level.

By the time Shi Feirou finished, even the Radiant Emperor was dazed. She hadn't expected the ancestral land to give rise to such monstrous beings that were peerlessly gifted enough to shake even her. Even in her era, there had never been such outrageous monsters. The fastest cultivator of that age, the True Reincarnation Emperor, had enlightened himself in a single day and directly stepped into the mythical level. Yet even he had required seven years to break into the ancient titan level, and twenty years to become an emperor.

Chen Chu, with his seemingly unbounded speed, could well step into the emperor level in two years. After that, five years to the primordial level? Then, within a hundred years, the eternal level?

The thought made the Radiant Emperor exhale slowly, her voice shaking the world with imperial might. "Feirou, you have done well. Compared to the ancestral land, this Chen Chu is even more vital to the divine regions. If news of him leaks, other true emperors will strike immediately. They would traverse time and space and reverse causality itself to kill him."

Suddenly, the Radiant Emperor realized. "Wait... Chen Chu? If I recall, you and your sister have spent millennia searching for someone by that very name, have you not?"

Since one of the Shi Sisters was her disciple, their pursuit of Chen Chu's traces had once drawn her attention. However, the shocking report of an eighteen-year-old reaching the peak of the ancient titan level in under two years had nearly made her overlook this.

"Yes, Master. I have long searched for Big Brother Chen, and this Chen Chu is indeed him. Recently, he also made a name for himself in the divine regions. In the Ancient Arena, under the name Chu Batian, he slew a youth of the Eternal Golden Divine Race with a heavenly god bloodline, as well as an ancient-titan-level overlord of the Shadow War God Race."

"So, there is even such a connection between you." The Radiant Emperor nodded slowly. "Tell Feitong that when Chen Chu is ready to head to the human divine regions, she must bring him directly to the imperial city of the outer heavens. I shall be stationed there for this period."

"Master, you intend to meet Brother Chen?"

"Mhmm." The Radiant Emperor nodded gently. "As I said, once his existence is discovered by peak civilizations, true emperors will immediately try to kill him. Therefore, I shall seek out Lun and have him shroud Chen Chu's true name. That way, even those skilled in fate, heavenly will, and causality will not be able to trace his existence. So long as he keeps a low profile, he should be safe for now."

Just like how the Human Federation and the Purgatory Demon Clan assassinated each other's geniuses, the mighty ancient human race was far from peaceful. Within their vast sphere of influence, only races of the same level could stand against them. After tens of thousands of years, some of these neighbors inevitably turned into enemies. In the chaotic void, great wars raged on the main battlefield, while around the divine regions, their geniuses were hunted down to weaken enemy strength. Espionage, infiltration, and turning traitors were all means that had long been used.

Thus, Chen Chu's situation was perilous. If peak civilizations learned of his existence, he would instantly face brutal assassination attempts. Even supposedly neutral or friendly civilizations could potentially strike at him in secret, because no one wished to see another race or civilization produce a being capable of reaching the eternal level. Each such existence was always accompanied by oceans of blood and mountains of bones, the corpses of the strong covering the earth.

"Feirou, this decree is for you to give Feitong, so she may hand it to Chen Chu. Within it lies my insights from when I once opened the divine region."

Having already witnessed the development of the Blue Planet up until now, and perceiving the anomalies surrounding Chen Chu, Shi Feitong knew the solar system had successfully become a world capable of holding up the heavens. Thus, the Radiant Emperor's own insights would undoubtedly be of aid to Chen Chu.

In the mythical world, high above the sky, a golden vessel shaped like a hundred-kilometer-long shuttle tore through the heavens. Wherever it passed, it left behind a pitch-black passage. Wild transcendent energy, chaotic principles, and shattered space-time were all pierced through by the shuttle; nothing could resist it.

Inside, its space expanded into the likeness of a magnificent ancient city, complete with mountains, rivers, palaces, towers, and drifting clouds like a celestial realm. Atop a towering divine hall tens of thousands of meters high, six youths and maidens, all exuding true-spirit-level pressure, were gathered in conversation. Their topic was none other than the human ancestral land.

Suddenly, the silver-haired youth seated at the head stiffened. He rose abruptly, a golden token inscribed with the character "Huang"[1] appearing in his hand. The token emitted rings of crimson light, burning like flames. The space around him dissolved into a vast world of scarlet fire. At the edge of that fiery world, the flames gathered into a pair of eyes vast as stars, emanating dreadful might.

The other five true spirits dared not be negligent, immediately bowing. "We greet the True Radiant Sky Emperor, and welcome Your Majesty's will descending."

The silver-haired youth also bowed respectfully. "Yantian greets the Radiant Primordial Ancestor."

"No need for courtesy." Her deep, commanding voice reverberated through the world of fire. "I descend to inform you that matters have changed. You are not to go to the human ancestral land."

"We don't need to go anymore?" The six true spirits froze in shock.

The blazing eyes swept over them coldly, without explanation. "Not only will you not go, but I will also seal all of your memories concerning the ancestral land. As for the members traveling with you, I will get Yantian to erase their memories of this journey as well. Now, release your divine soul defenses."

"...Yes, Your Majesty Radiant." The five true spirits from the other divine regions hesitated but quickly complied.

Before a true emperor, a being of supreme authority, none of them dared question her, even though each was of royal blood and none weaker than the middle stage of the true spirit level. Every true emperor of the six human regions stood above ordinary primordial beings, united in will and cause. For the Radiant Emperor to descend and order the sealing of their memories meant the other true emperors had already been informed and had consented.

Boom!

From within the silver-haired youth surged a boundless power. His silver hair whipped wildly as red flames gathered behind him, coalescing into the phantom of a woman clad in a golden-white imperial robe.

The sun in her palm flared brilliantly, its radiance piercing through the gathered true spirits, along with every person and object within the golden shuttle city.

Hum!

The hundred-kilometer shuttle trembled and abruptly halted mid-air. Minutes later, it turned sharply and vanished into the horizon.

After Shi Feitong suddenly convened a meeting of all mythical-level experts and above within the Human Alliance, information regarding Chen Chu began mysteriously disappearing. Even discussions online—topics, heated debates, and past records—gradually faded. Legends and stories of his deeds were slowly erased by an unseen force.

However, ordinary people noticed nothing. In this new era, where the world changed violently each day, everyone was striving to seize the tide of the times, climb to the peak, and become gods and kings.

In the mythical world, Xia Youhui, Liu Feng, Bai Mu, Li Meng, Lin Yu, and Lin Xue stood beneath the colossal phantom of a golden tree that towered hundreds of thousands of kilometers.

Xia Youhui looked at the burly Chen Hu, a trace of hesitation in his eyes. "Little Hu, are you sure you don't want to come with us?"

"No, Big Brother Xia." Chen Hu rubbed the back of his head, smiling honestly. "When my brother first entered the mythical world, he joined the Expansion Division. So I want to go there as well. Compared to the frontline, I'm more interested in exploring places even the Alliance of Gods haven't touched."

"Uhh... Little Hu, we're only worried for your safety." Liu Feng scratched his hair. "Sure, your strength's impressive, and you're about to break through the Ninth Heavenly Realm. But that level's common in the mythical world. You only just got here, and you don't have experience. If you came with us, things would be safer. Old Xia and Lin Xue have been through countless missions and even fought in Wars of Civilizations. If anything happened, they could look after you."

Xia Youhui nodded. "Right. You're that guy's younger brother, and since you came with us into the mythical world, if something happened to you, how could we answer to him? Even though the Purgatory Clan's long gone, the mythical world is way more dangerous than that. Even kings fall easily."

"I appreciate it, but really, there's no need." Chen Hu shook his head, refusing firmly.

Faced with Chen Hu, whose resolve was already firm, Xia Youhui and the others could do nothing to sway his will. After several fruitless attempts to persuade him, they could only sigh and give up.

Xia Youhui, Lin Xue, and Lin Yu needed to head to the frontlines to report to their main legion. Bai Mu, Liu Feng, and Li Meng had chosen to join a cleanup unit on the edge of the Forbidden Zone Battlefield, mainly tasked with clearing out mutated beasts and colossal creatures that had been demonized by the influence of demonic qi across mountains and rivers.

However, just as everyone was about to part ways, the ground beneath Chen Hu's feet suddenly shattered along with space itself, forming a violent void more than ten meters across.

Boom!

Chen Hu was instantly swallowed before he could react.

"Careful!"

"Shit!"

Xia Youhui and the others were startled. Before they could act, a powerful force at the level of a mythical king erupted above them, transforming into a golden sword light that cleaved into the spatial passage.

Rip!

The unimaginably sharp sword will tore open the unstable passage, leaving a rift over ten thousand meters long. On the other side of the raging dimensional rift, a transparent fragment of space floated, as if it were a mirror shard dozens of kilometers wide, yet containing an intact inner world. At its center hovered a pool several dozen meters across, composed of pure, translucent dark-red liquid radiating an extremely refined energy fluctuation. At the same time, faint streaks of golden-white lightning flickered within the transparent fragment, and the invisible aura of destruction spreading out from it made even the just-arrived Chen Wang turn solemn and slightly stunned.

Chen Hu had vanished into that pool.

As Xia Youhui and the others grew anxious, Chen Wang calmly said, "Do not worry. Chen Hu is not in danger. The forbidden weapon that protects his life hasn't been activated. This is a spatial fragment, likely from the last great battle, and was drifting with the spatial storms. If my perception is not mistaken, the liquid within should be a drop of Demon God Blood, left behind when Chen Chu crushed a demon god's true form. Those golden-white streaks of lightning are manifestations of Chen Chu's power. They've already cleansed the dark principles, will, and demonic qi within this blood, leaving behind only pure energy. If Chen Hu can fully absorb it, he should be able to reach the Ninth Heavenly Realm directly."

As Chen Wang explained, the anxiety on Xia Youhui's face turned into shock, followed by exasperation. "Damn it, how can this guy's luck be so outrageous? He just entered the mythical world and already stumbled into a fortune like this?!"

He recalled how Chen Hu once went fishing, and a quasi-mythical beast's head fell from the sky practically into his hands, complete with an innate awakening treasure lodged inside; how, on the way to school, he casually picked up a high-level energy crystal by the roadside; and all the other strokes of fortune that followed.

In comparison, it was as if his elder brother Chen Chu had been raised by a cruel stepmother. At the start of his cultivation, his innate physique had been so weak that his progress was painfully slow, and he couldn't even afford basic resources to replenish his vitality.

Xia Youhui couldn't help but suspect that Chen Hu was the Blue Planet's real child of the plane. Otherwise, how could his luck possibly be this absurd?
