Running A Cemetery in North America

Chapter 143: Contracted Raptor Crow Yidan

Caw, caw, caw!

A flock of crows slowly descended onto the graveyard's walls, their eyes constantly observing the situation within.

Outside the graveyard's gate, two uninvited guests also arrived.

"Bol Brothers, don't tell me that half-blood druid you're looking for is here as well."

The lead crow asked the two black men below in puzzlement.

"We should be asking you the same. What are you doing here? At this point, let's not hide anything from each other. State your target, so we don't mess up your chance later."

The Bol Brothers said seriously.

"Recently, the council discovered a rather capable Exorcist. The Speaker sent me to assess his strength, and if suitable, recruit him into the council. I didn't expect the situation to become this strange."

Crow Yidan shook his head, "What's with this half-blood druid you're looking for?"

"Who knows? The Jon Clan sent a request saying they wanted us to kill two people for them. This is just one of them. We're still investigating the residence of the other Asian."

"In that case, focus on your own target later and be careful not to accidentally hurt anyone else. Do not act against the one marked by the Speaker until he explicitly refuses."

"Understood."

The Bol Brothers nodded, and as soon as the words fell, they kicked open the graveyard's gate.

This door was destroyed once during the last Bloody Sunday by a Demon, and later Sun Yan paid for a new one, heavier and sturdier.

But unexpectedly, it stood no chance against the Bol Brothers, as the iron latch broke on the spot, causing the iron door to slam heavily against the wall with a loud bang.

This instantly startled the entire graveyard.

"Woof! Woof! Woof!"

Before the Bol Brothers could enter the graveyard, a large black dog came rushing out from the kennel outside the main house, angrily barking at the Bol Brothers at the gate.

"Damn thing."

The Bol Brothers looked coldly at Dahuang, and their bodies suddenly began to undergo dramatic changes.

Their bodies quickly enlarged, inflating muscles burst through clothes, and their skin sprouted jet-black hair.

Two large ram horns grew out of their skulls, transforming them into monsters with ram heads and human bodies, their feet turning into hooves.

In the Bible, there's a type of Demon known as Baal, which appeared in the form of a ram-headed human and was considered a symbol of evil and demonic figures in the Middle Ages by the Church.

So much so that today, these ram-headed figures have become the unique symbol of Satan worshippers, and the very image of Satan itself is linked to goats, often appearing in religious artwork.

Faced with two nearly three-meter-tall monsters, Dahuang showed no fear, watching as the Bol Brothers raised their hooves to stomp down on him.

Dahuang swiftly turned and dodged, then opened its mouth and spewed scorching flames towards the Bol Brothers.

The Bol Brothers, now transformed into ram-headed demons, certainly didn't expect the black dog before them to possess such a capability.

As the flames burned them, they quickly felt intense pain on their skin and hurriedly brushed the flames off.

"Woof woof woof!"

Dahuang wagged its tail proudly. During this time, it had been honing its fire-breathing ability, evolving from merely spitting sparks to unleashing blazing fires.

The purest flame is absolutely devastating to any creature with a physical body.

Unless one can extinguish the fire or prevent it from burning their body, even demons would struggle against Dahuang.

"Damn thing."

After the Bol Brothers extinguished the flames on their arms, they swung a fist at Dahuang.

But Dahuang, ever the clever one, recognized these weren't ordinary thieves and immediately turned to run into the yard.

At this, the Bol Brothers quickly followed suit, determined not to calm their fiery anger until the dog was dead.

As the Bol Brothers neared the main house, the Demon-Slaying Crossbow Tower in the yard reacted, emitting a faint golden glow.

Standing on the wall, Crow Yidan was struck with a foreboding sensation and exclaimed in haste, "Don't go over there! Something's wrong!"

But his warning came a little too late, as the Demon-Slaying Crossbow Tower instantly fired a crossbow arrow.

The arrow flew as fast as lightning, piercing the Bol Brothers' elder brother's chest in the blink of an eye, followed swiftly by a second, third, and fourth...

Under the rapid fire of the Demon-Slaying Crossbow Tower, the elder Bol Brother didn't even have a chance to react, letting out a wailing cry as he fell to the ground.

His chest, pierced by at least twenty demon-slaying crossbow arrows, was turned into a porcupine.

Following his death, the demonic features of the Bol Brothers' elder brother dissipated as well, reverting to his original human form.

"Brother!"

The second Bol Brother, witnessing his brother's sudden demise, immediately became violently enraged.

He roared, only then noticing the unremarkable Demon-Slaying Crossbow Tower in the yard.

If this thing hadn't shot out the arrows that killed his brother, he would have thought it was some old-fashioned sprinkler.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Anything exuding demonic aura that trespasses into the graveyard would trigger the self-defensive attacks of the Demon-Slaying Crossbow Tower.

Even demons in human form are no exception. Spotting the golden glowing crossbow arrow once more, the second Bol Brother hurriedly rolled aside.
