Running A Cemetery in North America

Chapter 142: The Arrival of the Evil God Council (Part 3)

Once his injuries heal, Roken must return to thoroughly investigate the origins of those demons and see who is behind trying to take his life.

"Sosia, prepare two rooms for Roken and Jessica. Elise, order two 16-inch pizzas and a whole bucket tonight for delivery."

...

Night.

The dining table was unusually full. With the arrival of Roken and Jessica, Sun Yan even felt the house had become much livelier.

Taking a bite of pineapple pizza, munching a few times, Sun Yan asked the elegantly eating Jessica, "Miss Jessica, you are clergy. Have you heard of the Evil God Council?"

Jessica's eyebrows slightly furrowed, showing a look of disgust, "Mr. Jackson, you know about this organization?"

"Recently, I accepted several exorcism commissions and encountered members of the Evil God Council en route. But I don't know much about them, so I wanted to ask for your insight."

Jessica put down the pizza and said very seriously, "They are a very dangerous group. They exist in every corner of America, they collect artifacts related to Evil Gods for pleasure,

The North American Church has been trying to investigate the roots of the Evil God Council secretly, but has encountered great obstacles, and some priests have even died accidentally because of investigating this matter."

Sun Yan bit the pizza and asked, "Did the Evil God Council do it? They're so crazy."

Jessica shook her head, "No, it was some socialites who did it. Mr. Jackson, you should know America has a lot of cults, and many socialites have joined them. Even international stars like Brother Tang have been brainwashed by the Church of Scientology to become believers and are convinced about it.

Cults that have developed to that extent usually have the shadow of the Evil God Council behind them. When someone tries to glimpse the existence of the Evil God Council, the believers will act against those people, including crazy ordinary believers and some socially influential and connected socialites.

They can quietly deal with someone very easily, letting you die in your home, die on the street, it's very simple. So on the mainland of North America, if you provoke the Evil God Council and they decide to deal with you, there is basically no chance of survival."

After hearing Jessica's words, everyone present frowned deeply.

Such a 'colossal entity,' just hearing about it is extremely terrifying.

What ability do ordinary people have to fight against it?

"Your church isn't weak. Doesn't it stand a chance against the Evil God Council?" Sun Yan asked.

Jessica smiled bitterly, "The church isn't a solid block internally. Some priests have already colluded with the upper class, they're corrupt and have become aides to the demon, those dead priests were retaliated against by the Evil God Council because they leaked information.

Mr. Jackson, although I don't know why you suddenly asked about the Evil God Council, I sincerely advise you never to have any contact with them, it's a nightmare. When you discover them, they also discover you and will drag you into an endless abyss."

Sun Yan nodded, "I understand."

Roken weakly said, "So, the Jon Clan might be a member of the Evil God Council, otherwise, how could their family worship Asmodeus."

"That's not an unreasonable thought. If they've determined your identity, then the next one... might as well be me." Sun Yan said seriously, quickly drinking a large mouthful of icy cola to calm his nerves.

He's not worried about demons seeking trouble with him; Sun Yan is more fearful of the Jon Clan's real-world status and power.

It's as easy as crushing an ant for high society figures to want to kill an ordinary person.

...

On the highway, an old Cadillac slowly stopped by the roadside.

Two black men dressed in gray robes got out of the car, their lips full of iron nails, their noses pierced by an iron bar.

Their ears and eyebrows were filled with rings, looking quite terrifying.

Looking at the town not far away, a black man spoke, "Sure enough, pressuring him a bit leads us to another person's residence. This time, he can't escape again. The same mistake can't happen twice."

"Rest assured, this time he absolutely can't escape. This place isn't New York, there aren't that many places to hide."

"Better be so."

Just as the two black men were about to walk toward the small town, a flock of crows flew from the sky, landing on the nearby bus stop sign.

"Bol Brothers? Why are you two here?"

A crow spoke human words, asking in confusion.

"Yidan? Why are you here? Are you also sent to hunt down that half-blood Druid?"

The crow was silent, then cawed sinisterly after a long while, "I'm not. I'm here for another task, do your thing, but don't make too much noise. If my work is affected, the Speaker Mister won't be pleased."
