Killed Me? Now I Have Your Power

Chapter 354: Echoes of the Past

The waves of change were not only limited inside The Asterion's bloodline. It went far beyond and touched, inside the same Asterion City, a family that had risen far away in the distant past thanks to the aid of one man.

None remembered correctly the name, except the Heir of the FireBorn himself, who was the only one to remember the name Prometheus.

But not for long, as Kenan could feel his mind lagging. Soon, the memories of that name would be veiled by a mysterious power that he didn't have the ability to pierce.

The man himself was inside his training ground, sitting cross-legged on the yellow flaming floor.

It was not only the floor, but the whole space — from the walls, to the ceiling, to the floor, to the very air itself — was covered in erratic yellow fire that could burst at any moment.

The heat was staggering, enough to cause a smouldering ruin in a small village, yet Kenan didn't seem to suffer much. His face was quiet and focused, with not a bead of sweat trickling down his face.

Since his meeting with Lady Green and his sudden discovery of the name Prometheus, there was something stabbing in the back of his head.

It was like an itch that he needed to scratch, but one he had no idea how to actually do.

It was frustrating, but by now, Kenan had learned the virtue of patience. The world had been slamming down at him on all sides, making him always face a situation where he must exert perseverance and patience to prevail.

Now, he was used to it. Still, that didn't mean he liked it.

But all of these thoughts became meaningless when suddenly, fragments of memories began to pour down inside his mind in cascade.

Kenan groaned in discomfort, closing his eyes sharply and grabbing his own head between his hands, as if the piercing pain would disappear with that.

He unconsciously changed position and lowered his head close to the floor carpeted in fire.

The growl of pain didn't stop.

That situation lasted for over a minute, before finally Kenan saw the visage of a woman — with orange hair and black dancing flaming eyes — kneeling in front of a portrait hanging on the wall of a luxurious room.

The portrait showed a man with crimson-gold flames licking his face, leaving only his mesmerizing blood-red eyes for the world to see.

At the far end of the picture was written a name: Prometheus — The Hero.

Kenan's heart was hit briskly by an intense feeling of love and worship for the man. Instinctively, he knew that these were not his feelings, but instead the feelings of…

'I am Estelle Prometheus FireBorn, Founding Mother of the FireBorn lineage,' the woman spoke, her voice reaching Kenan easily, still kneeling before the portrait in devotion, 'I am the first follower of Lord Prometheus, and the one who bears a wisp of his fire.'

Kenan's heart was being overwhelmed by the feelings of his ancestor. He gritted his teeth, trying to stay conscious and not lose himself.

'Kenan FireBorn, you have been chosen as the inheritor of the Black Phoenix, Noir.'

Finally Estelle stood up and turned her head, fixing her eyes on Kenan.

She was beyond beautiful.

'Take the fire, go towards my resting place, and bring me back from the hold of The Tree.'

At that instant, black fire began to shroud the whole body of Kenan.

'I cannot die nor rest yet. For I have not shown the world the glory of Lord Prometheus. The descendants of Vert Prometheus shall help you. She will remember.'

Estelle smiled with obsessive faith,

'She will remember our last oath.'

The memories disappeared at once, and Kenan fell on the ground as both the inside and outside of his body were being burned and purified by the Black Phoenix Fire.

Meanwhile, information about the resting place of his ancestor appeared inside his mind.

At that instant…

{Congratulations, Kenan FireBorn. You have received Noir's acknowledgement.}

{You have inherited the Black Phoenix.}

{You have received a new title: Echo of Ashes.}

Kenan lost consciousness immediately after, his last thought being about the absurdity of the whole situation.

Just like that, Kenan obtained a mythic beast as a familiar.

'Hm, I feel my sister's fire close!' Noir, little brother of Blanche, thought after being aware once more.

He could feel his sister. And he could feel the fire of devotion that came with Estelle's feelings burning for something close to his sister.

And his past master only devoted herself to one being.

"Pro—!"

Noir suddenly paused, tilted his head,

"What was I going to say?"

If Estelle Prometheus FireBorn had the decency to not take over the body of her own descendant despite having the power to do so, there was one who didn't shy away from that.

Deep inside The Elven Kingdom, Luelle watched with fear dancing inside her green eyes the being standing in front of her.

Like always, she was naked, her between-legs dripping with slick white substance.

The room was soaked with the smell of sex and depravity.

Luelle had been living her usual life with Nuke Cerveau, doing nothing but sex. That day, too, was the same. But in the middle of it, everything changed.

Nuke suddenly lost consciousness only to wake up completely differently.

For once, the way he looked at Luelle like a worthless filth was a drastic change.

"N-Nuke?" Luelle stuttered softly, trying to ask if the man in front of her was indeed her one and only partner.

Nuke didn't answer. Instead, he looked at his body as if it was the first time, examining everything. Doing it for almost a minute, he finally settled his blue eyes on Luelle.

The elven princess almost cried in dread seeing the emptiness of the eyes.

"Nuke," Nuke said, tasting the name, voice flat, "so that's the name." He murmured.

He approached Luelle slowly and softly, mounting the bed like a predator, making the latter tremble in fear.

"What's your name?" Nuke — or rather Neila Cerveau — asked to Luelle.

By this time, Luelle knew that her Nuke was no more. But she also knew better than to disobey this being who made her tremble only with her eyes.

"L-Luelle." She stuttered.

"Tell me, Luelle," Neila whispered, trailing down her hand on the naked body of Luelle. Her hand slid around Luelle's breast, then she grabbed it viciously, earning her a sharp yelp of pain from Luelle.

She smiled cruelly,

"My memories are fuzzy because of the forceful takeover. Do you know where I can find The Warborn family?" She demanded.

Despite the burning pain, Luelle found herself unable to control her excitement from being treated like nothing.

Like a toy.

So, smiling with lust, fear and the craving of something forbidden and twisted, "Yes I know, my…"

She stopped, clearly fishing for the name of the being in front of her.

Neila smiled while pinching the nipple of Luelle extremely hard. At the same time, she took the small runic communication tool beside her and inserted it directly inside the wet cave of Luelle.

The elven princess hung back her head with both pain and pleasure, moaning with twisted desire, as she heard the answer of Neila,

"Call me mistress." She ordered, "now answer my question, whore."

With tears falling down her face, Luelle grinned, 'Ah, I like this version even more. So cruel, so empty. I will fill you with everything of me, mistress. I will let you devour me!'

With her mouth drooling and her eyes white from too much pleasure,

"T-There is one, Daela Warborn, who will eventually come back here, because of how Fokay and Darklore work." She answered.

Neila smiled, "Oh really? What about a certain Kaden Warborn?"

"Yes, mistress!" Luelle answered, "I will never lie to you. And Kaden Warborn is the younger brother of Daela, from what Nuke told me."

Neila's empty smile widened,

"How perfect."

She yanked Luelle across the bed, turning her so that her ass would face her,

"How utterly perfect."

She thrust inside mercilessly. Her goal being only to hurt and not to pleasure herself nor Luelle.

Yet the elven princess found pleasure in the act, and she begged for more.

So Neila gave her more pain.

Two broken minds had met.

Two empty hearts had met.

One could only survive by filling her body with pain so that she could ignore the void eating her from inside.

The other only by inflicting pain to others so they could understand her suffering.

And so…

It began.
