Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos

Chapter 201: Exiting The Ruin

The saber was a peak-tier weapon of Grade 4, attuned to the wind element. Overall, it was a fine saber.

He put it inside his ring and gave a small glance to the array before leaving to collect the other treasures.

The moment he came out, Bai Lian was entering her second cave. She nodded subtly and went inside.

He did the same. The second treasure he found was a single seed. He was surprised because it was a Nether Bloom spirit herb seed, a spirit herb attuned to death laws. It could be used in many lethal poisons.

He took it and went to the third cave, where he found a talisman. It was an attack-type talisman, and seeing the runes inscribed on it, it was definitely a flame-type attack.

He stored it away and, this time, didn't leave immediately. Instead, he looked at the array drawn on the ground behind the jade slab. Rather than solving it by destroying specific nodes, he decided to just break it.

He created a small, concentrated destructive yang sphere and dropped it on the array, taking a few steps back before it touched the ground.

BOOMMMMM!

The array didn't last even a single breath before being obliterated.

The wall at the end of the cave opened, and Lin Feng made his way toward the area where the main treasure of the ruin was located.

In a few breaths, he arrived at a large open chamber where, on the other side, a slim rope was placed—similar to how the other treasures had been displayed so far.

When he picked it up, he noticed it was slightly ethereal in nature. "Affecting the soul... interesting."

This rope was definitely something that could bind a nascent soul. He would test it later.

...

Inside another cave, Bai Lian had just sat down to solve the array to test her capabilities. She sighed ruefully as the passage suddenly opened and the array was destroyed.

Shaking her head, she followed the path into the open chamber. If there were more cultivators still alive, this place would have been perfect for conflict.

She took out two items and passed them to Lin Feng. One was a pair of beads, and the other was a knife.

Lin Feng took a look. Both of them were of similar grade to the saber he had found. The beads looked like Yin-Yang Beads, likely a utility-type treasure that enhanced the effects of dual cultivation, while the knife appeared to be simply sharp and durable.

He took them and stored them in his ring.

TRECKKKKK...

A jarring sound came from behind. When Lin Feng turned, he saw the wall opening. Outside, trees were visible—it was the exit from the ruin. Lin Feng and Bai Lian stepped out.

Bai Lian finally relaxed. She had truly survived this ordeal somehow, and now she wasn't going to enter any ruins that required depending on others to pass lethal trials.

If only she were as strong as this masked cultivator, then she wouldn't have to worry about others and could clear such tests alone... sigh, in the end, it was only her wishful thinking.

While she was lost in thought, Lin Feng stretched himself and took to the skies.

By now, many cultivators would have entered their own ruins. Some might have already conquered them and were searching for others.

He was still interested in collecting treasures, so he would seek out some unopened ruins, but his main goal was to reach the central region as quickly as possible.

In the end, everyone would gather at the central area of this inheritance site, so there was no need for him to waste time searching for others.

When Bai Lian saw him flying, she hesitated a little before deciding to tag along. If he didn't like it, he could tell her to leave.

Lin Feng noticed her approaching and slowed down a bit. He didn't mind her tagging along—it would be better to have some acquaintances in the Eastern Region.

Bai Lian was surprised when he slowed down. That meant she could follow him. "Where will you go?"

She was contemplating whether calling him senior would be appropriate... but in truth, his cultivation realm was still that of a late-stage Core Formation cultivator, so logically, she didn't need to address him as a senior.

"I will just look for some ruins while heading toward the central region."

Bai Lian nodded. Ruins did contain good treasures, but the real inheritance of the senior who had created this inheritance site lay in the central main ruin.

That ruin might hold more treasures and resources than all the others combined. Everyone would aim to conquer a few side ruins first and then cultivate to reach the mid-stage of the Soul Sea Realm, since the central ruin's test was meant for mid-stage cultivators.

She herself had thought of doing the same, but she wasn't sure if this man... "Can I know your name?"

She decided to ask him. Even if it was a false name, she wouldn't mind—at least she would have something to call him by.

"Lin Feng, Just don't mention it in front of others" Lin Feng decided to tell her his real name. Not many people knew it, and it would be difficult to link Lin Hao with Lin Feng just because of first name.

He wouldn't be staying in the Yin Yang Harmony Sect for long anyway. It wasn't because he didn't want to—it was because of the Eternal Dao Lotus. He wanted to secure it as soon as possible. The Eternal Dao Lotus was worth far more than this entire world.

Nonetheless, he doubted she would reveal his name to anyone, even if she hadn't taken a heavenly oath. Not to mention, she didn't even know if it was his real name or not.

Bai Lian nodded. "Brother Lin, I am Bai Lian." She didn't care whether it was his real name or not. It was far better than calling him just a masked cultivator.

Lin Feng nodded and suddenly decided to ask her something. "Do you have a branch of the Skycloud Auction Pavilion in the Northern Region?"
