There was pin-drop silence among the disciples, this was the first fatality among them and it happened because they got stunned by the masked cultivator's sudden pace..

She had always had the feeling that Bai Lian never acted normal around them as if she was showing some kind of pity, now she understood that it was really the truth, Bai Lian already knew that none of them would survive.

There was one more thing, there was no group which was targeting their disciples in this inheritance site and all those tokens of their sect disciples this cultivator had thrown in front of them weren't collected by him through finding them, he had killed those disciples himself.

This went on till only two disciples were left, Pei Lingxi whom Lin Feng had no intention to kill while Lian Zhi who was hiding behind Pei Lingxi.

Pei Lingxi was already numb seeing the deaths of her teammates while Lian Zhi was trembling thinking she was about to die next.

Lin Feng on the other hand looked towards Pei Lingxi while dodging the beast, "You have two choices, first is to take a heavenly oath to work for me as a spy in the Yin Yang Harmony Sect or second is you can die here.

Think wisely though, I can always find someone else later but you have only one chance of survival. I just need information, you don't have to do anything else nor will you be bound to do anything else"

He wasn't keen on saying nice words, how she thought of him also didn't matter to him. He just needed some information. Given how calm and composed she was, he had a feeling that she would accept. In the end it was just information.

Pei Lingxi frowned, she wasn't someone who was attached emotionally to the sect. If it was just giving information for her life then she could work around it, not to mention if she declined then Lian Zhi would also die.

Pei Lingxi nodded, it was good that Lian Zhi didn't have to work as a spy, "Alright"

When Pei Lingxi looked towards her, Lian Zhi nodded in acceptance, she was ok with it.

"Well then get on with it" Lin Feng said and waited for them to take their oaths.

In the end, Pei Lingxi took an oath on the destruction of her cultivation rather than on her life and Lian Zhi did the same.

Lin Feng was ok with it, even if they ditched him, it wouldn't affect him much. Although he doubted that they would want to lose their cultivation path for something which wasn't even much of a secret in the sect.

Once everything was settled he conjured a very small yang sphere in his hand, and while dodging the beast, he threw it inside its open jaws.

The beast got immediately incinerated and this stunned Pei Lingxi, Lian Zhi and even Bai Lian to the core once again.

This was the first time Bai Lian had seen him use any qi attack. She had seen a lot of yang attacks so she understood that it was a technique related to that but its strength was beyond her imagination. The sphere he conjured was too small after all

Pei Lingxi and Lian Zhi were stunned for various reasons, they could feel how pure it was. They hadn't seen yang qi of that purity.

They again began to think about who he was.
