Like a body developing immunity to a toxin, Alex could feel the Yang in his body becoming stronger and stronger as it fought off each bit of incoming Yin Qi.

Shumi's body was improving as well, her Yin becoming stronger. However, the speed at which her Yin Qi grew was not fast enough for it to not lose its potency even when coming directly into his dantian through his palm.

In the same way, the Yang Qi that Shumi accepted was not strong enough either.

They needed to be closer to each other. They needed to be fully connected.

Alex helped Shumi disrobe and took off his own robe in the process. The two stood in the empty white, their figures laid bare before each other. They could not keep their eyes away.

Gently, Alex helped Shumi lie down on the ground. Shumi's breathing grew uneven as she prepared for what was to come. She nodded, accepting what Alex was ready to give.

And then, the two of them joined.

With their conjoining, the shortest path to each other's dantian was achieved, and through it, they began cultivating.

With a forward motion, Alex handed Shumi the Yang Qi, and with a backward motion, he took Yin Qi from her body.

The Qi they received now was so very strong that they were both stunned. Shumi even let out an involuntary gasp. They quickly took the Qi and used it to help refine their bodies.

It took a moment for them to finish the refining process before they could return back into the act. The ecstasy that came from the cultivation session was undefinable. The two felt emotions they had never before felt in their lives.

And as they refined the Qi and it became easier, the ecstasy grew in intensity.

Alex sped up when the refining became easier and slowed down when they needed time. Soon, they were lost in their cultivation session.

Their bodies refined at a steady rate, improving tiny amounts each time. It was impossible to tell how long it would take for them to fully evolve, but at the rate things were going, Alex could tell it wasn't going to be anytime soon.

So, all he could do was keep things going.

Back and forth, back and forth, he kept going for hours. During that time, both he and Shumi had reached completion a dozen different times, and yet they kept going.

Alex, with the body of the Sun God, could continue forever with his rich vitality.

And Shumi, with the body of the Moon Goddess, could quell all forces, allowing her to last forever as well.

Together, they could continue forever if they so wished. However, they weren't doing it for the sake of doing it. They were doing it for cultivation, and a cultivation session lasted only for so long.

As Alex refined the Yin Qi, his own Qi became neutral in nature, which needed time to turn back into Yang Qi again. Shumi was the same as well, and she quickly ran out of Qi.

After what felt like an eternity, the two of them finally stopped. Alex lay beside her, holding her head in his arms. Shumi turned toward him and leaned in to give him a kiss.

They lay there for a while with nothing but silence and their bodies in each other's embrace. There was no need for them to do anything at all in that moment, as their bodies naturally worked to turn the Qi within them into their respective Qi.

All they had to do was wait.

Then, once ready, they began cultivating again.

The white emptiness was void of all aura and dao, so Alex couldn't tell how much time had passed while he was in there. He was sure it had been days, but until he got out of it, he could only continue.

As their Qi grew stronger and stronger along with their bodies, the time came as the Sun God explained. The seal around the Yang Source and Yin Bead collapsed, flooding his dantian with Yin and Yang.

It didn't come out of nowhere, and Alex had plenty of time to prepare. As such, both Alex and Shumi were ready for when it happened.

The Yin Bead immediately tried to get out of his body, trying violently to escape. Alex allowed it its wish. With a thought, the Yin Bead that had been in his dantian for many years now moved out of his body, escaping through his mouth.

With a kiss, Alex transferred it to Shumi, who quickly swallowed it. The Yin Bead moved into her own dantian, firmly placing itself there. As soon as the Yin Bead left, Alex's Yang Qi flared in aura, growing more potent.

At the same time, Shumi's Yin Qi grew in strength as well, becoming stronger than before.

Once they began cultivating again, they immediately noticed the change. The Qi they passed along this time was much too strong for either of them to refine on their own. Thankfully, they both had the Yang Source and the Yin Bead with each other to help them.

It allowed them to refine the Qi much more easily, letting them cultivate for much longer.

After a long time, their bodies were a lot more different than they had ever been.

Alex could feel the burning Yang that filled his body now, full of heat and vitality. Shumi, on the other hand, had a primal coldness to her body, full of Yin.

The cultivation grew weaker and weaker in effect as their bodies slowly stopped improving after each refinement. And after what felt like forever, there was simply nothing else left to do.

When the end came, the Sun God's voice boomed in Alex's head.

"Your body has evolved. You are now ready for my power."

Alex looked at Shumi, understanding evident in each other's eyes. They both understood that the gods had spoken to them at the same time.

They quickly separated and sat cross-legged as they prepared to accept the power of a True God.
