"It is time."

With his words, the Sun God vanished from Alex's periphery. The Sun Fire barrier vanished, and so did the two corpses. The world around them became a void of whiteness, and only Alex and Shumi remained within it.

With nothing around him, Alex felt the connection between him and Shumi grow stronger and stronger.

Shumi did the same, as she couldn't keep her eyes from looking at him.

After a moment of hesitation, Alex walked toward her, the feeling becoming stronger. Shumi did the same, walking toward him.

When they were just inches away, they finally stopped. Alex could see the flushed skin on Shumi's face and understood that her heartbeat was faster at this moment, just like his own.

"I assume you received the same technique as me," Alex asked.

Shumi nodded. "I received the Moon Wheel."

Alex remained silent for a few seconds. "Are you by any chance… opposed to this?" he asked. "If you mind, then we can look for other methods."

"No!" Shumi said quickly, her voice loud, before she shrank a little. "I don't mind."

Alex found the sight rather cute. He lifted his two hands, presenting them to Shumi to grab. Shumi held onto each hand, and the connection between them grew to a fever pitch. Their bodies wanted nothing more than to jump at each other, but things had to be done in order.

Together, they sat down on the empty white, their breathing growing stable as they prepared for cultivation.

"If you are ready for it, let us start," Alex said. Once Shumi nodded, Alex closed his eyes and began using the technique.

The Emulous Cycle of Yin and Yang technique called for Alex to pull a tiny amount of his Yang Qi out from his dantian and move it across his body through a rather complex pathway before it reached his right hand.

By the time the Yang Qi reached his hand, it grew weaker to a point where Shumi could handle it, and through their touch, his Qi moved into hers.

At the same time, through his left hand, he accepted the Yin Qi that came in from Shumi's right hand.

Alex took in the Yin Qi and took it into his dantian through the shortest pathway possible. The moment it entered the dantian, the Yin bead within his dantian grew excited.

"Uggh!" Alex groaned slightly as the Yin bead began expelling an immense amount of Qi in excitement, wanting to make its way out.

Shumi was focused on refining the Yang Qi she received, so she couldn't spare her attention away until she was done.

Alex quickly controlled the Yin bead, letting his body handle the Yin Qi. After what felt like minutes, he was finally able to do it. When it was done, he took his hands away from Shumi, who finally reacted in surprise.

"What happened?" she asked in a worried tone. "Was it too strong?"

"No," Alex said with a slightly annoyed look. "It's something else."

He quickly explained the situation inside of his dantian, explaining how there was a balance of Yang and Yin within him that broke whenever she was involved.

"What can we do?" she asked. "If that continues causing trouble, then we can't progress smoothly."

Alex nodded. "I… I need to block it somehow. Keep it from responding to your aura."

"Is there a way?" Shumi asked.

Alex wasn't sure.

"Sun God?" he called out. "Can you help us?"

Shumi waited. She couldn't hear or see the Sun God, but she did feel his presence as a sort of unnatural warmth when it washed over Alex.

Alex's eyes grew unfocused for a moment as he listened to the Sun God. Then, he nodded.

"What did he say?" she asked.

"He placed a small seal around the Yang source and the Yin bead for the time being," Alex explained. "Our Qi is still too weak to be able to handle them. However, once we've progressed far enough, when we can handle the Qi, the seal will break."

Shumi relaxed a little.

"However, that is still only a temporary measure," Alex said. "The permanent method is for me to get rid of the bead, which I don't want to do. Fortunately, it appears that you may be a suitable host for it. Will you accept it when the time comes?"

Shumi thought for a moment and nodded. "It does sound like something that will help me, so I will accept it."

Alex smiled. "Then let us continue."

The two held hands once again and began sending their Qi out once more. It took minutes for each of them to improve their body, as the Qi was quite strong. However, thanks to the technique, each time they took in the Qi, it allowed them to use the Qi to refine their body that much faster.

After nearly an hour, their speed reached a point where they could refine their body in less than half a minute and completely make the foreign Qi vanish.

When things got too easy, they changed the pathway to become shorter. Once it was shorter, their respective Qi was that much stronger when it reached the other person.

That began another cycle.

Over hours and hours of cultivation, Alex and Shumi refined their bodies using the other person's Qi until the shortest path to the palm was achieved.

Then, Alex and Shumi moved closer, grabbing each other's elbows. Now, the path was shorter, which made their Qi stronger.

When that became too weak, they moved closer. They grabbed each other's shoulders, then each other's hips. After that, they placed their palms directly over their navel regions where their dantian was.

By then, Alex and Shumi were no more than an inch apart, feeling each other's breath on their faces. At this distance, the attraction they felt became unstoppable.

They looked at each other, unable to keep their eyes away anymore.

Alex's eyes lowered slightly, gazing at Shumi's rosy lips, and without any other thoughts, he kissed her.
