"The Clown can turn people into his puppets with his blood. Everybody that came to the royal palace of the Silver Elves became puppets, do you have an idea how he did it? How did he make so many people consume his blood?"

This question was one he wanted to know the answer to because the answer would help not only him but the others to know how to protect themselves from the Clown.

He could clearly remember how there were no signs from anybody that they were actually under the control of the Clown.

They acted very normal, showed not even the slightest signs, and even their souls and internal systems showed nothing abnormal when Corey observed them through his Eyes of Omniscience in the previous cycle.

He had a few guesses as to how the Clown was able to do this, but he wanted to know so that he himself could guard and prepare against it.

After everything the Clown did, he was not going to underestimate the Clown and believe that he was safe from the Clown and could not be turned into a puppet.

The Clown was dangerous, extremely so, and he had proven that time and time again.

Divine looked at Corey. "Well, apart from forcing somebody to drink his blood, there are several ways I've seen him make somebody to drink his blood."

"If the Clown's blood lands on you, he can subtly make the blood to enter your bloodstream through your skin, and then from there, he might be able to control you depending on the quantity of the blood. There was a time I nearly fell for this when I was bashing the Clown's head and body with my fists, my hands were drenched in his blood and he nearly controlled me. If not for Rosa, I would have died on that day."

'I doubt it since you still have a lot of luck and you're still a Child of Heaven.' Corey had this thought as he looked at Divine who was surrounded by an invisible aura of gold.

It was only because of the bloodline of sin he had as a Paragon that he was able to see it, and Divine still had a shit ton of luck from what he could see.

"Aside from getting stained by the bastard's blood, he can also try to poison what you drink and eat with his blood. He can mimic the appearances of others. A true clone of his has done it to me before."

The expressions of everybody drastically changed and became grave.

"He can mimic the appearances of others? But that's insane. That means he can be in front of us, acting as another person but we won't know." Jeremy said with a tone filled with disbelief, confusion, and frustration.

Just how many abilities does the Clown possess, and why is he so strong?

Meanwhile, Divine shrugged. "That's just the way it is. I found out about that ability of his in a rather... unpleasant manner."

Divine trembled in disgust as he recalled the past, and then he continued speaking.

"Aside from that, the Clown also has a skill that can create a mist or fog made out of his blood. No matter what, don't inhale that blood mist. You know what, don't even touch the Clown's blood for that manner. It's like a virus that spreads through anything."

Corey and the others frowned, and then Corey asked another question.

"Then how do we know those that have been infected by the Clown's blood? My detection abilities are extremely unique, but I didn't even notice anything."

Divine inhaled and exhaled as he slowly gestured to Rosa that he wants to sit on the floor.

His eyes opened and closed a few times as an exhausted expression could be seen on his face.

"I also can't differentiate between those that have been infected and not infected by the Clown's blood, but Rosa can."

He gestured toward Rosa with shaky hands.

"She's more talented than the Clown in Blood Manipulation, so she's able to know those that have been infected by the Clown's blood. The Clown can also avoid her detection if he's extremely careful and if she's not actively looking for people that have been infected."

"I want to rest for some time, when I wake up, Rosa will perform a deep and thorough inspection of your bodies to make sure that you guys have not been infected."

"I don't want her to do it now since I'm exhausted, and if she tries to search for the Clown's blood in you guys, the blood would be agitated and the Clown might try to take over the person's body."

"Right now, the Clown's blood is in an inactive state and only a stimulation like Rosa searching for it would awaken it, and if that happens, it'll be bad because I can no longer fight. My fatigue and injuries are currently taking a toll on me."

Divine paused for a moment while struggling to keep his eyes open, and then he sluggishly gestured at Corey.

"As for you, Pamela, and uhhh... Jeremy. I'm 99% certain that you guys are safe because of your uniqueness. It's going to be extremely difficult for the Clown to take control of your bodies. But as a matter of precautions, Rosa will still inspect your bodies."

Divine yawned for a long time, and then he laid his head on the ground.

"I'm going to sleep. Please watch over my body... kid."

With those words, Divine went to sleep on the floor, leaving everybody to ruminate on his words about the Clown.

"So... what now?" Elizabeth asked after a few seconds of uncomfortable silence, and Corey approached Divine and sat beside him in a cross-legged manner.

"We wait for him to wake up. I'll heal him so that we won't have to wait for long. But in the meantime, recover your stamina, health, and mana... in case we still have to fight a deadly battle in the future."

Everybody nodded, and then Jeremy was the first person to leave.

His body flickered, and then he appeared a hundred meters away from the group.

What he started doing next stunned many of them... He picked up his sword and started training.

"What a training freak." Elizabeth shook her head with a soft smile, and then everybody went their separate ways, doing whatever it is they wanted to do.

Meanwhile, Pamela sat down on the opposite side of Corey and Rosa sat directly beside Corey.

Rosa looked at Corey with a bright smile, and then she said.

"Been a while, Smile Reaper."
