Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1061: 1058: Saving Jeremy

While Pamela and the Clown were battling, Corey himself was battling Death in order to save Jeremy.

He was doing everything he could to prevent Jeremy from dying, but Death had no desire to let go of Jeremy.

It wanted Jeremy more than Corey could imagine, and Corey was interrupting it from getting what it and the Clown wanted.

'Unless somebody assists me in healing Jeremy or if somebody is able to assist me in destroying the Clown's blood cells that are ravaging Jeremy's insides, I wouldn't be able to save him.'

The gears in Corey's mind turned rapidly as he was thinking of what he could do. The first thing that came to his mind was that Rosa should help him in destroying the Clown's blood cells.

But when he looked at Rosa and was about to ask her to help, he saw her shaking her head and pointing at Divine.

When she pointed at Divine, he understood what she meant.

If she left Divine, who would protect him?

Although it seemed like it was only Rorik they had to deal with, but with the Clown, who said there might not be more dangers?

If Divine died, then their situation would get a lot more worse.

Although Corey knew this, their situation would be more dire if Jeremy died. Especially for him who could lose Anna in the next cycle.

He was about to tell Rosa to help. He was about to tell her that things would get worse if she doesn't because of Jeremy's talent, but just as he was about to do this, his Stars of Consciousness brought an idea to him.

A method that could save Jeremy.

Without hesitation, he opened his left hand, and a black hourglass with black sand inside of it appeared above his hand.

----

[Lifeless Hourglass- Can freeze a person's death moment for up to three hours, suspending them between life and death. It has a hidden function.]

----

This was one of the rewards he obtained after completing the system trial, and Corey had nearly forgotten about it.

Fortunately for him, he remembered it quite quickly.

He recalled the description and he also listened to his instincts to make sure that using the hourglass would not make the situation worse since if Jeremy died because of him, he might never forgive himself.

He summoned the Crown of the Lifeless Sovereign once again, and then he injected his death qi into the Lifeless Hourglass.

The moment he did this, the hourglass emitted a black light and the black sand that had been falling stopped.

Corey instinctively knew how to use the Lifeless Hourglass, and so he used it.

He placed the hourglass on top of Jeremy's forehead, and then he lightly pushed the hourglass into his forehead.

The hourglass slowly sank into his head, almost like Jeremy's head was nonexistent and was water.

The moment the Lifeless Hourglass fully entered Jeremy's head, his situation stabilized and his life was no longer in danger... for now.

Jeremy went unconscious, and Corey knew that no matter what anybody did to him, Jeremy would not wake up.

Jeremy was not frozen in time, but his life and death were frozen.

Everything that was currently causing his death was frozen, and this meant that the Clown's blood cells were also frozen in place.

'Now, I can heal him. I have three hours, but I don't even need up to half an hour to completely heal him.'

Corey's expression visibly changed to one of immense relief when he saw the changes in Jeremy's body and status.

Choosing not to waste anymore time, he began healing Jeremy.

A few seconds later... The Clown's furious roar reverberated across the world tree's realm.

"WHAT THE FUCK?! HOW?! HOWWWW?!"

"FUCK OFF BITCH!!!!"

------

(Some minutes ago)

"How about we have some fun, huh?"

After the Clown said these words to Pamela, Pamela scoffed with a derisive smirk.

"You're definitely not my type."

Rorik rolled his neck with a light laughter of madness, and then Pamela attacked.

She swiped down with the full force of her Destroyer, but Rorik calmly sidestepped, dodging her spear by a hair's width.

He raised his right hand to his waist, and the ground cracked when he launched his fist like a rocket.

Pamela barely saw the first punch. Rorik's body blurred, the difference in their physical stats showed as the air detonated where he'd been standing.

Pamela hurriedly placed her Destroyer where she expected the punch to land, but Rorik suddenly moved and reappeared at her flank.

Pamela couldn't dodge. But she could block.

Runes flared at her ribs, and the punch landed.

BANG!

It was like being hit by a meteor, and it was definitely not a pleasant experience. The impact hurled her through three large boulder and six remnant stems of colossal trees before she skidded to a stop, carving a long trench through the dead earth.

Her chest throbbed in pain, but her bones were intact.

'This is a problem. The bastard is pushing Rorik's body beyond its limits. I'm using runes to increase my physical strength, but it's not enough. He's going to overpower me at this rate.'

'What of the others? What of Elizabeth, Mathias, and Caesar? What of Rosa?'

Pamela looked at Rosa, and when she saw that she guarding Divine with an extremely focused and attentive expression, she abandoned the thought of Rosa helping.

'If Divine dies, then we'll be in a lot more trouble.'

She then looked in the direction of Elizabeth, Mathias, and Caesar.

Her expression slightly changed when she saw that all of them were unconscious.

At first, she was worried that they were dying, but when the runes told her that they were only unconscious, her expression eased slightly.

'Well, that just sucks. This Queen will have to do everything herself.'

Pamela slowly got to her feet and wiped the dust off her body.

"Nice try. You hit like a girl."

Rorik, no, the Clown tilted his head and laughed.

"You're funny. I'll give you that as a fellow Clown."
