Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1062: 1059: Sealing. HOW?!

"You're funny. I'll give you that as a fellow Clown."

Pamela rolled her eyes and scoffed, and then Rorik moved once again.

His feet cracked the ground again as he vanished, and Pamela snapped her Destroyer up. Runes spiraled from the shaft into the air, and then a formation spun above her head like a blooming flower of light.

Her spear thrummed with new weight and sharpness.

Rorik dropped from above...

Pamela thrust.

The spear extended, but not physically. Runes stretched its concept, its range, its meaning.

A silver light shot upward and pierced into Rorik's shoulder, causing him to spin midair. Blood sprayed but the Clown didn't make a sound.

He merely twisted midair, using the force to drop faster.

He hit the ground with both feet, cratering it... And then he charged again.

Pamela also charged, leaving a trail of lightning in her wake. She met him halfway.

Spear to fist.

Her weapon sang.

His bones growled.

They both moved, dodged, blocked, and struck one another across the realm. Causing more destruction to the already destroyed realm.

Every strike from Rorik was akin to a natural disaster. Short-range quakes. Pressure waves. Pure muscle layered over more muscle.

Pamela's arms numbed after a few dozen clashes but she didn't slow down. The runes flooded her body, reinforcing her bones, binding mana into kinetic shock absorbers, and knitting microfractures before she could feel them.

Rorik's body shouldn't have been able to keep up with her rune-boosted reflexes, but the Clown made him dance anyway.

His body was not only filled with blood, sweat, and burns caused by Pamela's use of her lightning, a crimson aura was slowly surrounding Rorik the more he used his talent skill to surpass his limit.

He should be dead or crippled at best by now, but the Clown was immortal, and those he possessed would have that trait.

Rorik ducked her sweeping strike, got inside her guard and smashed his gauntlet into her abdomen.

She flew backward again, spitting blood this time. The ground didn't just crack where she landed... It collapsed.

She climbed out coughing out more blood, but her eyes darkened with more focus.

Because of the injuries and the way she pushed her body to the limit while fighting the Clown's undead army, her mana veins were not completely healed and she could not use as much mana as she used to use in the past.

"I'm not close to Rorik, but it's pretty unnerving to see you ruining that man's body with a lot of potential. He could have become a great figure of our planet," she muttered while regulating her breathing and healing herself .

The Clown twisted his neck again. "Oh Pamela... I'm improving it so that he can be of greater help to our beautiful and lovely planet."

Pamela shook her head without saying anything. Like she said, it's not like she cared about Rorik, it was just slightly painful to her that such a talent was being used like this.

She had no idea if Rorik would survive if the Clown left his body at this moment, but from what she was seeing, it was unlikely.

'If he dies, I just hope his corpse remains intact so that I can study him and find a way to break the universal stat limit, and maybe find a way to progress my race once again.'

'My stats are in the peak of the universe, but it's not enough. There are surely others like Corey who have broken the stat limit and that means their race is a lot better than mine.'

'If I could study Corey, it would help, but he'd definitely not allow me...'

'Sigh... What a hassle.'

As Pamela had these thoughts, Rorik's gauntlets glowed faintly with a crimson light, and then it pulsed like a heartbeat.

Pamela's expression changed.

Rorik flexed his fingers and the pulse spread up his forearm.

The runes of the world hissed warnings at Pamela, causing her expression to become more grave.

Before she could react, Rorik blurred behind her and hammered his gauntleted fist into her spine.

The blow folded her in half mid-air, launching her forward. She caught herself on the ground with her spear, but blood dripped onto the dirt.

"Hahahahahaha! This is fun!" The Clown laughed loudly with a wide smile.

Meanwhile, Pamela inhaled and exhaled deeply as she felt her injuries and the pain she was feeling multiply by a lot.

Her eyes flickered with coldness, and then she came to a decision.

She inhaled once again, and her Will interacted with the runes of the world.

The runes responded.

A ring of glowing symbols burst from her skin, swirling around her like a halo torn into pieces. They were not chants, not spells, not techniques.

Instead, they were a language.

The language the world has used to build itself.

She pointed her Destroyer at him.

The runes swarmed into the weapon. The runes layered, folded, and rewrote themselves on the Destroyer all to accomplish her wish.

Her mana surged through it in a tidal wave.

Rorik charged again, knowing that he could not allow Pamela to unleash this attack.

He left a crimson trail as he moved, and he was almost too fast.

Almost.

Pamela whispered as she unleashed a skill of her Destroyer.

"Shatterline."

The world flickered.

A single line of light traced itself across the battlefield, bisecting everything in front of her.

Rorik's eyes widened at the sheer speed of the attack, and he was only able to raise gauntleted arms in front of his body in an attempt to protect himself.

The line of light hit him and his gauntlet sparked violently as if the world itself was trying to split him in half.

"AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!"

He roared and pushed through the attack. His muscles snapped, his bones cracked, and his veins burst.

But he was immortal, and eventually... He broke through the line of light.

However, his arm hung useless. The gauntlet cracked and fell apart into pieces, and then copious amount of blood poured from the massive hole in his abdomen and heart.

The Clown looked at the two holes in his body with slight amazement and curiousity.

"So... It was not just one attack, but two... The one aimed at my heart was hidden in the bright line of light, and because I was so focused on breaking through your attack because it was fun to do so, I missed the second attack... You thrusted twice."

The Clown shifted his gaze from his injuries to the front, and he was not surprised when he saw Pamela directly in front of him, appearing like a ghost from thin air.

The tip of Pamela's Destroyer hovered at Rorik's throat.

"What was it that you said? Hmm?" She tilted her head slightly with a cold and indifferent expression. "That I'll die and you'd love to see the expression I'll make when I die... right?"

"Guess who's about to die right now?"

The Clown smiled at Pamela with a nonchalant expression.

"You can't kill me, I'm Immortal. Nothing can kill me. Not even Divine's flames can truly kill me. It only hurts. That's all."

Pamela smirked, and then she pushed the tip of her Destroyer into the Clown's neck, piercing it all the way.

"Yeah, you can't die. But guess what, you can be sealed. And oh, guess what again... I'm going to seal you until Divine wakes up and burns you with his flames. Let's see if you can keep that foolish smile on your face when you feel the pain you so much dread."

The Clown was about to speak, but then he frowned when he realized something.

Tiny sparks of lightning were randomly emitted from different parts of his body.

"Have you realized it yet, that you can't move. Well, I told you I'd seal you, and that's what I'm going to do."

The runes went silent for a second, and then they gathered behind her in hundreds, then thousands, then tens of thousands, then hundreds of thousands, and then in millions.

Millions of runes hovered around her like a cyclone, and those without the ability to see runes would think that the wind around Pamela was turbulent, not knowing that it was millions of runes spinning rapidly around her.

The Clown had the ability to see runes, and when he saw the sheer number of runes, a deep frown could be seen on his face.

The millions of runes gathered and formed a single celestial circle behind her. It was not massive. In fact, it was the average size of formations, but the power in it was not average in the slightest.

Lightning flickered across the celestial formation, and then without saying anything, twelve thick lightning chains shot out of the formation and pierced Rorik's body, binding him.

The lightning chains wrapped themselves around Rorik's massive frame, and his expression was one of pain and coldness.

An expression the Clown rarely had.

One might think that only twelve lightning chains were binding Rorik, but it was not so, there were millions of tiny lightning chains inside Rorik, and these lightning chains bound not only his organs, but his tissues, some of his cells, and even his spirit was not spared.

The Clown could not move at all, and Pamela smiled despite the pain and exhaustion she was feeling after doing this.

"I can see why you wanted to see my expression when you 'kill me'. Your expression is really one to behold."

It was at this moment that Corey used the Lifeless Hourglass which stopped Jeremy from dying, and then...

The Clown's expression drastically changed.

"WHAT THE FUCK?! HOW?! HOWWWW?!"

"FUCK OFF BITCH!!!!"
