Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1080: 1077: I'm The Defying Paragon

VOLUME 4: THE OBLIVION APOCRYPHAL

----

In a completely unknown and isolated location in the void, two individuals sat in front of a wooden table with a map resting on top of it.

The map had what looked like chess pieces on top of it, and the map was not just an ordinary map.

No.

It was the map of reality.

And the two individuals were the Paragon Ancestor and Supreme Ancestor.

The Defying Paragon sat with his right leg placed on top of the other, his chair hanging by one foot, a bowl of grapes floating in front of him, a headset hanging around his neck, and a calm and confident expression on his face.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Ancestor who had the appearance of an old man with a long white beard and a straw hat... had a rather solemn expression as he stared at the map of reality in front of him.

"It's nearly time. He's really going to attempt this madness, and you're not going to stop him despite knowing the risks."

The Supreme Ancestor looked at the Defying Paragon with a frown, but his eyes were unfathomably calm and serene, there was no sign of worry in it despite his expression.

For a being at his level, only a few things could truly shake his emotions, and what he was seeing was close to it but not enough.

Crunch!

The Defying Paragon threw a grape into his mouth with a calm and indifferent expression.

He looked at the All Father with a light smile. "Unlike you, I don't interfere in whatever path my children want to take. Since he wants to do this, then I'll let him... Besides, it's his destiny."

The All Father raised a brow. "You know that if he goes through with this and survives, he'll become-"

"An abomination? An apocryphal? Like me?" The Defying Paragon cut him off and smiled.

The All-Father looked at the Defying Paragon with an indifferent expression for a few seconds, and then he shifted his gaze back to the map of reality.

"He'll be worse than you. Their pride and foolishness was what made them to ignore you for a long time till you became an existence that could defy them. They-"

"And that's why I'm called The Defying Paragon. My title carries immense weight that even you would struggle to carry, old man." The Defying Paragon cut off the All Father once again, and when he said the words "The Defying Paragon"... The space they were in trembled immensely, making it seem like it would soon shatter.

However, it held strong and remained in one piece.

The Supreme Ancestor shook his head with an unimpressed expression.

"As I was saying... They were foolish and too prideful back then when you walking the same path, but they won't make the same mistake twice. You have caused far too much destruction after you defied them."

Crunch!

The Defying Paragon threw a grapefruit into his mouth and chew with the same light smile.

"Do you know what the difference between him and me is?"

The All Father raised a brow. "What?"

"He has me as his backer." The Defying Paragon's smile widened. "Unlike me who had nobody to help me back then, he has me to help me. And that means a whole lot than you can imagine."

The All Father frowned since the words of the Defying Paragon was true. With the help of the Defying Paragon, Corey could survive the path he was planning on taking.

Survive? Most likely

Succeed? That would be entirely dependent on Corey himself.

The All Father rubbed the space between his brows and released a soft sigh of frustration and disappointment.

"You have been protecting this boy and subtly helping him ever since he met you. Only I noticed this because he's in my domain and he's also bonded with my creation. They have not fully taken note of him because of your actions."

The All Father paused.

"... I don't know why you've taken a keen interest in him, and I've tried to find out why you're protecting him more than it's required. But I hope you know that the consequences your people would face as a result of your actions would not be little."

"There'll most likely be another great war because of your actions, and that boy would be the focus of everything."

Crunch!

The Paragon Ancestor chuckled as he chewed on another grapefruit.

"Unless you decide to sign a contract with them and ally with them to attack my people, they won't risk a war with me. They know how much you love to backstab others. You're a conqueror by nature, and you won't miss the opportunity to conquer their lands when they're weakened."

"Trust, old man. Trust and Pride is the reason why you guys won't war against my people because you know the cost even if I am weakened."

The Defying Paragon's smile widened.

"You see, old man... I am not worried about a war. And if you guys want a great war... Fine... We'll have one and win as usual. Don't forget we're not alone in this."

The All Father's left eye twitched, and then he exhaled softly.

"The boy would face many tribulations and trials, and you would not be there to help him."

"HAHAHAHAHA!" The Paragon Ancestor busted into an extremely loud laugh that shook the surroundings, space, and time itself.

"He's a damn Paragon. We already face one of the greatest trials and tribulations in existence... HELL!"

The Defying Paragon's Tri-Pupil Eyes glowed brightly, and the Supreme Ancestor held the tip of his straw hat and lowered it, covering his eyes.

The space around him quivered as his Will and Intent leaked outside of him.

An extremely tense silence engulfed this part of the void, and when it seemed that these two terrifying existences would engage in a battle that would shake all of existence, they reeled in their auras.

Many beings who had been subtly observing the location of both Ancestors visibly sighed in relief.

"Old man. No one is going to stop him from grasping his destiny. Not you or those bastards."

The All Father lowered his hand from his straw hat and looked at the Defying Paragon with a tinge of intrigue in his eyes.

"Can you handle it? Can you handle what's to come?"

The Defying Paragon chuckled with a calm smile.

"I'm the Defying Paragon."
