Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1081: 1078: Progenitor Candidates

Two years passed after the appearance of the Chained Firmament and its expedition.

The battle that took place in the realm of the world tree was not completely known to all, but the consequences of the battle was far reaching and caused tumultuous waves both in New Earth and outside of it.

Only Corey, Pamela, Jeremy, the Clown, and the others knew what truly happened in the realm of the world tree.

The Clown's actions where he turned everybody including a prince of one of the strongest Empires of the universe.

When the life lanterns and life seals of many of these individuals with powerful backgrounds were snuffed out, many organizations were stunned and baffled by this.

They performed their investigations and later on, they found out that Jeremy was one of the people who knew what happened.

Their investigations were further proven true when they found out that the Kingdom of Miracles had given sanctuary to the Silver Elves.

Many wanted to know what was going on, and some unreasonable individuals even attempted to kill Jeremy and some of his companions.

The Kingdom of Miracles faced many battles in these two years, and if not for the fact that Jeremy was beloved by the world, his kingdom would have crumbled.

However, the rendered assistance of Corey, Pamela, Divine, and Rosa a few times was another reason why the Kingdom of Miracles survived till this day.

And the Kingdom of Miracles did not only survive, it thrived and became the greatest force of New Earthlings.

New Earthlings that were in other continents and being maltreated or lived in fear could run to the Kingdom of Miracles.

For many New Earthlings who were weak and powerless, the Kingdom of Miracles was their safe haven.

A lot more occurred during these two years, and aside from the rise of the Kingdom of Miracles, there were two events that were known to all in New Earth. Whether one was a New Earthling, or an Outsider.

The first was the Progenitor War.

The wae that would occur amongst several Progenitor candidates to determine who the Progenitor of New Earth would be.

Out of the trillions on New Earth, there were only a hundred Progenitor candidate spots.

To obtain a Progenitor candidate spot, one has to either be chosen by the Universal System, or one must be lucky to find a Progenitor system trial or one must be given a Progenitor System trial/quest by the Universal System.

And one must not only find it, they must pass it, and hope that the Universal System would give them a Progenitor candidate spot.

And the last method was that one must perform a feat that pleased the Universal System or made the Universal System to find one worthy of a Progenitor candidate spot.

This last method was extremely difficult because there were very very very few things that could please the Universal System. The chances of such a thing happening was less than one percent (1%).

As for the second method where one would have to be lucky to stumble upon a Progenitor system trial or obtain one from the Universal System, this depended a lot on ones fate and luck.

If one's fate was powerful enough to hold the title of a Progenitor of a Blessed World, or if one was lucky enough to stumble into such an opportunity, then they were qualified to be a Progenitor.

However, the chances of this happening was also less than one percent.

And the dreadful and terrible thing about this Progenitor War was that one must continuously prove to the Universal System that they were worth of holding a progenitor candidate spot.

Until the Progenitor War began, anybody with a Progenitor candidate spot was constantly pushed to their limits and forced into dangerous situations.

In fact, those with a Progenitor candidate spot were even identifiable because they had a golden halo above their head.

And what was the easiest way to take a Progenitor candidate spot from a Progenitor candidate?

Kill them in a battle.

One might think that this was easy to do and they could trap the Progenitor candidate, kill him, or use another hand to kill the Progenitor candidate. But was the Universal System so easily fooled?

It was not.

If one did not kill a Progenitor candidate with only their power, then the Universal System would not transfer the spot to them even if the Progenitor candidate died.

Was it unfair or not to the Progenitor candidate since he or she might die at the end and their killers might not even get the rewards they so desired?

The Universal System did not care.

If a Progenitor candidate died due to a trap, then the Progenitor candidate was not worthy to become a Progenitor.

And not just a Progenitor. But a Progenitor of a Blessed World.

Another idea that some came up with was to wait until a day before the Progenitor War, and then find a Progenitor candidate and kill them.

But who were Progenitor candidates?

They were the best of the best in New Earth, and the days before the Progenitor War were like trials and tribulations that rewarded him for every single hell they survived.

The closer a Progenitor candidate was to the day of the Progenitor War, the stronger they were.

There were several Progenitor candidates that also thought they could hide till the day of the Progenitor War because of the benefits they gained as Progenitor candidates and also because of how difficult their days would be until they became true Progenitors.

But many if not all were forced to realize the harsh truth, their spots were either transferred to somebody else who performed a deed that pleased the Universal System or their spots were forcibly removed by the Universal System, and this led to many getting crippled or dying on the spot.

Aside from the method of pleasing the Universal System or successfully passing a Progenitor System Trial, the last method was to be chosen by the Universal System to become a Progenitor.
