The implications of Corey's words were nothing short of terrifying.
It was utterly incomprehensible that a newly ascending world was connected to more than seven divine kingdoms.
Regardless of whether it was a Blessed World or not, a newly ascending world should not be able to contain a single divine kingdom, talk less of seven or more than seven.
Although Pamela had little knowledge and information on gods, divinity, and godhood, she was not ignorant.
She knew just how powerful Immortals were and how much destruction they could cause with their powers.
Since gods were definitely beyond Immortals, then she could not even fathom how much destruction a god could cause.
How powerful were gods?
Pamela had no idea, but she knew that more than seven divine kingdoms in their planet was extremely dangerous to all of them.
As for Anna, she knew more about gods than Pamela because of Tessa, and she also knew that a newly ascending world was not meant to be able to contain a divine kingdom.
What was going on?
Why was this possible?
What are the secrets of New Earth?
What is the history of New Earth?
How is it connected to so many gods?
These questions and many more appeared in the minds of Anna and Pamela as they walked behind Corey with lost expressions.
A few moments later, Pamela came out of her stunned state and looked at Corey with a solemn gaze.
"Do you know why there are so many divine kingdoms on New Earth?"
Corey glanced at her, and then he shifted his gaze back to the front.
"I'm not completely sure, but it has to do with the history of New Earth... I've read a little bit about New Earth's history and I know that New Earth has gone through seven epochs in total."
"We're in the seventh Epoch, and in the earlier epochs, New Earth used to be called Earth. I haven't been able to get information about the First and Second Epoch, but I know that in the Third and Fourth Epoch, New Earth was still called Earth and gods used to roam... Earth."
"At the end of the Fourth Epoch, a terrible disaster befell the gods and nearly destroyed Earth. It was akin to a calamity and approximately 85% of the world's population was wiped out according to what I read."
"The surviving Earthlings decided to rebuild, and with time, they chose to call Earth... New Earth."
"The Fifth Epoch was the period where the New Earthlings rebuilt Earth into New Earth. The Sixth Epoch was the growing phase, and this Seventh Epoch is more or less... an ascending phase or a warring phase since wars are going on as we speak."
"Who knows... Maybe the Eighth Epoch would also be a period of calamity like the Fourth Epoch."
Despite the severity of his words, Corey spoke with a calm and even amused voice. However, Pamela and Anna did not share the calmness and amusement Corey had.
Corey continued.
"Anyway, as I was saying. The Divine Kingdoms on New Earth are probably from the surviving, and/or, dead gods of the First, Second, and Third Epoch. I'm not sure."
Corey shrugged nonchalantly.
"I might also be wrong in my assumptions since I don't know much and the knowledge I got are from several hidden places on New Earth. I scoured those places in the past two years, and it might have been tampered or it might wrong."
Corey looked at Anna.
"I also asked Tessa, but she doesn't know about New Earth since she was not one of the old gods of our universe. She was apparently a 'new' god with a lot of talent."
"Anyway, that's what I know about why there are so many divine kingdoms on New Earth."
Pamela and Anna had changing expressions as they processed Corey's words. It was a lot of information, and it also made the duo to realize that their world had far more dangerous secrets than they ever knew.
A few moments later, Corey paused and pointed at a massive pile of rubble. The rubble was the size of a three-storey building, and it was strange and out of place since it looked like it was not meant to be in that location and was also meant to be in that location at the same time.
"Oh yeah. I also said something about the statue of the god since this is his temple."
Pamela and Anna looked at the pile of rubble with slight frowns.
"That was his status. I tried moving it but it's a lot heavier than you'd think. It's like asking an average man to carry or push a car."
"You also don't have to worry about it being dangerous. I've checked it, and it's not dangerous."
Corey paused, and then he shook his head.
"I don't know who killed the God of Living Constructs, but the being was ruthless because even no part of the statue was left in one piece."
"You can't even put the pieces back together to see how it used to look like."
Pamela and Anna looked at the pile of rubble with varying expressions, and then Pamela looked at Corey with a complicated expression.
"Corey." She called out.
"Yes?" Corey looked at her.
Pamela paused and considered her words for a moment, and then she spoke.
"You know about the dangers on New Earth and you still want to leave? I know that you want to take this path and I'm not discouraging you, but..."
She glanced at Anna.
"As much as I hate to admit it, you're probably the strongest New Earthling right now and if you leave, it'll deal a great blow to New Earth."
"We already have the Outsiders to deal with, but if we also have to deal with gods... I don't think we can deal with all of that."
"Do you really think it's a good idea to leave New Earth with all these dangers? Especially when your sister is still here?"
Pamela shifted her gaze from Anna to Corey, and to her surprise, she saw Corey looking at her with raised brows and a smile of amusement.
She was instantly pissed the moment she saw Corey's smile of amusement.
"What?"
Corey shook his head, and then he gestured to the pile of rubbles.
"Let's go. The Forge is right behind the destroyed statue of the God of Living Constructs."
