Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1099: 1096: Shall I Begin?

For a long time, Corey had truly pondered on whether he should take this path he wanted to take.

There were pros and cons of his envisioned path, and to many, the cons were far greater than pros.

One of the cons was the fact that he would most likely have to leave New Earth on his own because his presence in the future would be too great for it to bear.

Most people had no idea, but the presence of him, Pamela, The Clown, the last person with the same level of talent as the three of them, and several other talented New Earthlings was a huge strain on their world.

New Earth was barely containing all of them and with the addition of the Outsiders, it was even surprising that New Earth was still in one piece.

Corey had a few theories in his mind about why New Earth was still in one piece with so many powerful and talented beings in it, but he was not going to delve into them for now since it was not needed.

What is important is that the chances of New Earth being able to carry his weight is very very low.

And this was a con in Corey's eyes.

Because of that, he would have to leave his home world and he would have to leave everybody behind.

He just saved Anna, but he would most likely have to leave her in New Earth. He could have told her and easily convinced her to join him, but he didn't.

First of all, Anna could make her decision herself, and she had never told him that she wanted to join him if he eventually left the planet.

Even if she had, Corey would have discouraged it because once he leaves New Earth, he would be exposed to dangers beyond what he had experienced, and he did not have the confidence in being able to protect her.

Another reason why he did not tell Anna to follow is because, despite the dangers of New Earth. New Earth was the best place for her to grow.

For a newly ascending Blessed World, New Earth had opportunities beyond the Immortal Realm, and these opportunities were heavily regulated by the Universal System.

As a New Earthling, Anna and other New Earthlings were more protected and even blessed.

Outside New Earth?

They would be like the others of the universe, and they would lose the protection and blessings they didn't know they had.

Although Corey knew that it was best to leave Anna on New Earth, it was not an easy thing for him in the slightest.

Especially with all the immense dangers of New Earth... Mainly The Clown.

The Clown knew that Anna was his sister, and that he loved her more than anything. He was certain that The Clown would make an attempt on his sister's life, and he had made ample preparations for such a situation.

In fact, he had made so many preparations that even he himself wondered if he had overdid it, but he didn't care.

Anna must not die. No matter what, she must not.

----

(Back to the present)

After having a few more conversations with Anna and Pamela, and answering their questions, Corey began the forging process.

But before he began, he looked at Pamela and pointed at the void ring he had given her.

"I left behind what I know of the history of New Earth, the Outsiders, the Hidden Demons, the Divine Kingdoms, and The Clown. Some of them are basically my theories and guesses, but they should be helpful to you in keeping New Earth in case I'm not around."

He looked at Anna.

"The same knowledge is also in your void ring. It'll be available to you guys after I'm gone."

Corey looked back at Pamela.

"I also put knowledge about... extremely strange and powerful runes. I want you to go through it now. Those runes are extremely crucial in what I need from you. I need you to study them and understand them to a point where you feel is good enough."

"But be very careful when you're studying them. They are very powerful and dangerous even to me. You might be a Rune Sage, but those are runes you have never seen before."

Pamela's eyes widened slightly in interest, curiosity, and disbelief.

She briefly looked into the void ring and she saw three white crystals. She recognized these crystals as memory crystals, and she carefully sent her consciousness into one of them.

The moment she did, she took a brief glimpse at what was inside, and what she saw terrified, shook, and amazed her to the core.

With a pale face, she quickly withdrew her consciousness and glared at Corey.

"Why didn't you give me this sooner? Who says I'll have enough time to go through it and understand it before you need it. What you gave me is not normal at all."

Corey shook his head slightly. "I know, but I couldn't give you before for two reasons."

He raised a finger.

"First, I wasn't sure you'd still want to help me after hearing of the danger and seeing those statues outside. I wasn't going to give you such knowledge without you choosing to help me. I know how precious what I gave you is."

Corey raised a second finger.

"Secondly, giving you that knowledge outside of here is dangerous. You can say that the divine kingdom of the God of Living Constructs and the Forge are similar to a two-factor authentication. I don't want anybody to sense that knowledge in the slightest."

He raised another finger.

"And lastly, I believe that you'll be able to learn it on time. You're the Rune Sage, remember?"

Pamela's lips twitched when she saw the smile on Corey's lips. She scoffed, and then she looked around. Her gaze landed on a door, and she narrowed her eyes.

Before she could speak, Corey spoke with a light smile.

"That's a room where you can safely learn the runes I gave you without noise and disturbance."

Without even bothering to look at Corey or reply him, Pamela approached the door with a tinge of haste in her steps.

Although she had a pale face and seemed angry at Corey for just giving her this knowledge, the excitement that was in her eyes could not be hidden.

"Do not disturb me until I come out."

That was all she said before she closed the door shut.

Corey chuckled softly while shaking his head when he saw this.

"She sure is excited."

A few seconds later, he exhaled deeply and opened his right hand.

A golden metallic ball appeared above his hand, and Corey looked at it with a solemn expression.

"Shall I begin?"
