Aside from the transformation to any other weapon, Corey also wanted the weapon to have other unique abilities.
The first was the ability to increase and reduce the weapon's weight as he wished. If he wanted, the weapon could become as light as a feather or even air, and it could become as heavy as a mountain, a planet, or even a universe.
Corey does not only want the ability to manipulate the weight of the weapon, he wants to be able to manipulate the length of his weapon.
He wants to be able to make his weapon to be as tiny as a toothpick or as high as the heavens with just a thought.
With the ability to transform his weapon into any weapon form combined with the ability to manipulate its weight and length, it would add an extra layer of unpredictability to his future battle style.
These two unique abilities of a weapon was extremely rare because of the difficulty in crafting a weapon like this, but Corey knew that his chances of success was high.
Corey also wanted his weapon to be nigh-indestructible, but Corey knew that such a thing would be extremely difficult to achieve because of beings that were far beyond his scope of understanding.
He was sure that even if he believed he had created a weapon that could not be destroyed, beings like the Paragon Ancestor would definitely destroy it with a flick of a finger.
So, what Corey wanted was to create a nigh-indestructible weapon that could also regenerate itself.
Another ability Corey wanted his weapon to have was the ability to devour other weapons even mid-battle to evolve.
Corey wanted it to be that as long as he clashes with an enemy's weapon, his weapon would 'chew' or slowly devour their weapon, allowing his weapon to evolve mid-battle.
Corey also wanted his weapon to have extremely high affinities for all the elements. He wanted it to be that he could channel any element into his weapon with ease, and his weapon would not only be able to use the element without any discomfort, it would even amplify the power of the element.
Another thing he wanted was for his weapon to be able to naturally cut a person's Will and Soul. His weapon could then devour the person's Will and Soul and use it to strengthen its spirit, or it can even be used to strengthen or heal Corey's Will and Soul.
He wanted his weapon to also be unnaturally sharp to the point that it can cut another weapon of a higher grade in two.
These are the abilities Corey wanted for his weapon, and if any blacksmith were to hear of Corey's thoughts, they would instantly call him a mad man.
A single one of the abilities Corey wanted was enough to make a weapon to be valued by many Immortals and even Gods alike.
Especially if the weapon was a growth weapon like what Corey wanted.
Only a mad blacksmith or an ignorant one would choose to craft such a weapon of madness.
And Corey knew this.
Mad?
Yes. He was.
Ignorant?
No. He was not.
He knew just how universe defying what he wanted was, which was why he made a lot of preparations in advance.

(Back to the Present)
The golden metallic ball Corey held was a metal called Sunmetal. It was a metal that was said to be found orbiting close to stars called suns.
This metal was one of the countless metals he got from the Mountain of Metals in the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones after killing the Capra King.
The Mountain of Metals was one of the main reason why Corey had the confidence in being able to craft his weapon. He had so many materials that New Earth could never have even if it was a Blessed World with a unique history.
He observed the Sunmetal for a moment before approaching the worktable which had a formation laid on top of it.
This formation was a purification formation. It was meant to remove the impurities that were in the metals he wanted to use.
Corey placed the Sunmetal on a part of the formation, and then he waved his hand.
Eight more lumps of metals and crystals appeared in front of him.
Starsteel, Mythril, Dragonscale Iron, Phaseglass, Devourer Ore, Aetherium, Soulweave crystal, and Divine silver.
Corey placed each of the metals and crystals on different parts of the formation on the worktable.
After doing this, he placed his hand on the formation and activated it by pouring his mana into it.
The formation lit up with a bright white light, and the metals and crystals trembled.
They hissed, writhed, and released small burst of mist as the formation removed the impurities inside of them.
One by one, their impurities surfaced.
Some impurities were in the form of small wriggling shadows. Some looked like black, dirty dust, while some released a liquid that looked like tar or mud.
Corey's eyes flashed when he saw this, and then he swept his hand through the air. From the furnace which had Divine's eternal flame, a portion of it approached Corey.
The golden flame hovered above Corey's palm, and then he removed the purified metals and crystals before using the golden flame to burn all the impurities into nothingness.
Thanks to Divine who strangely ordered this fraction of his eternal flame to obey him at all times, Corey was able to control it and tell it what to do.
Corey observed with keen eyes as the golden flame burned only the residues. When the flame was done, he heaved a sigh of relief and sent it back to the furnace.
He was worried that the flames would burn the entire worktable and the Forge as a result.
Fortunately for him, it didn't.
"The next step. Melting."
Corey gestured at the purified metals and crystals, and then he used his telekinesis to carry all of them into the furnace where the Eternal Flame resided.
The moment the purified metals and crystals entered the furnace, a violent reaction occurred.
