Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1124: 1121: Connected To A True God

Barely two seconds had gone by after Corey observed the appearances of the gods.

To a mortal and a Mystic Being, two seconds was a short period of time. However, to a god and to these gods who were all observing Corey.

Two periods was like a whole two minutes to gods, and the gods could also see that Corey's rate of perception was abnormally high.

Some of the gods took note of this and were both surprised and confused. However, the God of Blacksmiths became more furious when he realized that Corey was taking his sweet time to observe all of them.

A god was furious at a mortal, and the mortal showed no signs of panic and was blatantly ignoring him?

How could the God of Blacksmiths not be furious?

He swung his arm and swiped at Corey. Mortals, Mystic Beings, and very few Immortals would be able to see the attack the god had launched.

It looked like the God of Blacksmiths had only swiped at the air, causing the winds to become turbulent.

However, Corey and the other gods could vividly see what the attack was.

It was a massive hand that seemed to be made out of countless pieces of metals, weapons, shields, hammers, and so many other items.

It would not be surprising if some pieces of metals and items began to fall, but they didn't.

As Corey watched the hand with a calm expression, he was slightly taken aback because he did not expect the hand to be made out of metals.

The attack the God of Blacksmiths launched at him was not truly an attack if Corey was to describe it.

Corey could not sense killing intent from the god, but he sensed malicious intent from him.

The massive hand which was made out of metals and weapons was meant to capture him and allow the God of Blacksmiths to have both him and Primus.

If Corey was right, the God of Blacksmiths was not as furious as he portrayed himself to be.

He was furious. Yes. But not just as much as he potrayed himself to be.

Corey guessed that the god wanted to take the other gods off guard by his actions, and the moment he captured him, he would attempt to run away with him and Primus.

Corey believed he was right in his assumptions when he saw a few gods sharpen their gazes when they saw that the God of Blacksmiths unleashed an attack at him.

Another expression of some gods that made Corey to have other thoughts was... their expressions of surprise.

Some gods had a truly surprised expression, and they were staring at the God of Blacksmiths with an expression that clearly said- "Are you mad?!"

This made the stars in Corey's mind to release powerful solar flares as numerous thoughts and guesses flashed in his mind at lightning fast pace.

Despite all of these thoughts and observations Corey had, he had not forgotten the hand of the God of Blacksmiths.

Although it seemed like he was taking his sweet time, he was not.

Corey noticed and thought of all these in less than a second, and in that fraction of a second, the hand of the God of Blacksmiths was less then a meter from him.

Corey calmly swung his arm at the metallic hand, almost like he was swatting away a fly.

A second later, there was no sound of collision or an explosion. There was no destruction of the world.

There was nothing.

Only pure silence... And the wide eyes of the gods as they couldn't believe what they saw.

"IMPOSSIBLE!"

The God of Blacksmiths roared with an extremely shaken and extremely confused gaze.

And the other gods had the exact same thought as the God of Blacksmiths. They all replayed the scene they saw over and over again, wanting to make sure they had not seen wrong.

But they knew they had not.

Corey, a mere mortal had not blocked, had not deflected, had not countered, but had destroyed the attack of a god.

When Corey swung his arm at the metal hand of the God of Blacksmiths, a translucent massive hand that emitted a black hue at its surface appeared in front of Corey and slapped the metal hand away like a mother slapping her child's face with the back of her hand.

It was utterly disrespectful, but none of them cared about that in the slightest.

The massive metal hand of the God of Blacksmiths was actually the god's Will. He had used his Will instead of his energies or physical body to attack Corey, and because of that, he was able to protect himself.

And what the gods were truly concerned was the fact that...

"He has a Will?" The God of Martial Arts said with a slight furrow of his brows. His expression was calm as he folded his arms, but the repeated tapping of his finger on his arm said otherwise.

And how could the God of Martial Arts or any God of the universe for that matter be calm if they were in their position?

A mortal, possessing a Will?

That should not be possible at all.

Wills were meant for beings with Divinity. They couldn't sense any bit of Divinity in Corey, so how could he possess a Will?

This time around, the gods observed Corey with greater intensity, and their expressions changed when they observed more of his Will.

"His Will... How is it at that level? What grade of Will is this?" The Goddess of Ice nearly stuttered in shock when she looked at Corey's Undying Will.

She, and the other gods could not believe it.

"Could it be the work of an artifact? Or does he have a god of inside of him and he's using the god's Will for himself?" The God of Storms asked with a slight furrow of his brows.

The gods frowned, and then Lucifer, the God of Darkness spoke.

"I doubt it's an artifact since the power of Will is extremely... delicate. And if he truly has a god's Will inside of him, then you guys must know what that means, right?"

The gods remained silent but their expressions were grave.

Lucifer looked at Corey with a light smile, and then he spoke.

"He's most likely connected to a True God. Only a True God can possess such a powerful Will."
