Corey watched with a tinge of intrigue in his gaze as the gods tried to figure out the reason why he possessed a Will.
He was slightly taken aback by the conclusions they came up with, and he wondered for a moment why they didn't consider the fact that the Universal System could have given him.
When Lucifer said that he was most likely using a True God's Will, he noticed that their expressions became completely different.
Some had grave expressions. Some had expressions of disbelief, and some had a tinge of fear in their gaze.
Corey was curious about why the gods were reacting this way at the mention of a True God.
Because of his little experience and knowledge of gods, he had no idea what realms of godhood these gods were in.
Was one, two, or more of them a Lesser God?
Was one, two, or more of them a Greater God?
Was one, two, or more of them a True God?
Corey had no idea, and the only thing he could to figure out who was stronger and more dangerous amongst the gods was to use his Paragon instincts, observe their Wills, and subtly use Soul Perception to look at the strength of their souls.
Using these three methods to pick out the more dangerous gods gave him different results.
For example, some gods had stronger Wills but weaker souls than the others.
And some gods had stronger and sturdier souls than the others, but weaker Wills.
As for his Paragon instincts, it warned him of a few gods who seemed to possess average souls and Wills, but his instincts were telling him that they were dangerous.
Corey took note of all of these, and although he knew that all these gods were dangerous and could kill him with ease, he made sure to take note of the gods which his instincts considered more dangerous.
Meanwhile, as Corey calmly observed the gods, they were speaking amongst themselves and trying to figure out why Corey possessed a Will.
Funny enough, they had no idea that Lucifer's first guess was true.
Corey's Undying Will was truly not his, it belonged to his past life who was the God of Shadows.
Corey had asked Tessa if she knew about the God of Shadows, and she knew a little bit about him.
And to his slight surprise in the past, he had surpassed the True God realm and reached a realm of power that allowed him to venture outside the universe.
So technically, his Undying Will actually belonged to a god who had achieved the True God realm in the past.
Corey swept his gaze across the gods, and then he calmly turned and began walking away.
The gods instantly noticed, and they stopped talking. They looked at Corey with slightly confused expressions.
"And where do you think you're going to?" The God of Blacksmiths asked with a scowl. He truly did not like Corey in the slightest.
He had wanted to quickly kidnap him and Primus, and then run away from the remaining gods. Despite his dislike for Corey, he knew that he was an extremely talented mortal, and he had several uses for him.
Unfortunately, Corey somehow possessed a Will that was powerful enough to shatter the fraction of his Will his incarnation could use.
"I'm leaving. Since it's obvious you guys are busy, I've decided to take my leave. I have other very important things to do."
The gods looked at Corey with raised brows.
"And who said you could leave?" Another god spoke, and this God was called the God of Scorpions.
The god had visible green veins across his body, and his eyes were dark green and had a venomous gaze to it.
Corey glanced at this god, and although he had no idea who this god was or what his title was, he didn't care.
He was one of the few gods his instincts, Will, and Soul Perception did not warn him so much about.
He was more powerful than he was, but he was not as powerful as many other gods present.
And he knew why his instincts were not warning him so much about the god.
'Poison... He deals with poison.'
Although Corey knew that this god dealt with poison, and that the god's poison was definitely more lethal than his, he had a feeling that he would be able to find a way to survive even the god's poison.
This confidence stemmed from him being a Poison Warlock, him possessing the Poisons Infinity Crystal, and also because the god was in an incarnation, and not his true body.
He could not help but wonder what would happen if he was able to overcome the god's poison and maybe even poison the god.
Poisoning a god as a mortal?
Wouldn't that be a great achievement?
Corey looked at the god, and his lips curled up slightly.
The God of Scorpions noticed this and frowned.
"What's so funny, mortal?"
Corey's smile remained.
"Nothing actually... But since you guys can't attack or kill me, I'm going to take my leave." Corey turned and continued walking away.
"And who said we can't attack or kill you?" The God of Martial Arts said with a cold tone, and Corey felt a chill creep up his spine when he heard the god's voice.
He could not help but stop walking because the God of Martial Arts had spoken with subtle killing intent.
The God of Martial Arts was one of the gods his instincts, Will, and Soul Perception was warning him about.
He was extremely dangerous.
Corey turned and looked at the God of Martial Arts with a calm expression despite the chill in his heart.
"You guys have not taken any action for a long time now. You've only been talking to me, a mere mortal, and I'm sure if you guys could, one of you would have either killed me or at least, taken Primus away from me."
"You guys would definitely battle since you won't want one of you to have Primus, but it'll be much better to you guys than for a mortal to keep on holding such a powerful divine weapon. It's disrespectful and a stain to your pride that a mortal is holding such a weapon."
"Now, if I'm to guess, you guys can't hurt me most likely because of the Universal System and the fact that this is a Blessed World."
"That's why that old and senile blacksmith over there did not attack me but tried to kidnap me... Because he couldn't."
"Now... I'm going to take my leave while you guys can remain here and keep on trying to figure out my identity and my secrets."
"I have other things to do. Goodbye."
