"I have two requests by the way."
Queen Nerith's brows rose with an intrigued expression hearing Corey's words.
"Do you really think you're in the position to be making requests?" She asked with a light smile.
Corey's lips curled up slightly. "Just hear me out first. I'm sure you'll be interested in what I have to say."
Queen Nerith narrowed her eyes slightly while tilting her head. "Alright. Speak."
Corey exhaled softly, and then he spoke. "I believe I know what destroyed your planet... and I believe you know too." He shifted his gaze to Syrelle, Orynthia, and Thalos. "Maybe... your children know too."
The expressions of Queen Nerith, Syrelle, Orynthia, and Thalos experienced varying changes the moment they heard Corey's words.
"How could you possibly know the cause of the destruction of our planet? Even though mother said you're unique, there's absolutely no way for you to know the cause of the destruction of our planet. Even other Immortals that were not close by would not know."
Orynthia said with a deep frown while staring at Corey, and Queen Nerith spoke after while shaking her head.
"My daughter is not wrong. How could you possibly know about the cause of the destruction of our planet? It's not possible."
Even Pamela, Selene, Kiefer, and Willow had baffled expressions when they heard Corey's words.
How could Corey who has always been on New Earth, know about the cause of the destruction of the planet of the Silver Elves?
Even if the world of the Silver Elves was beside their planet, there was no way they would know the cause of its destruction, unless it was extremely obvious.
In their minds, they believed that Corey was lying or it was just a part of his 'plans'.
Corey's smile widened slightly hearing their words. "A book. A black book to be specific is the cause of the destruction of your world."
"Really? A book? A black book?". Pamela could not stop herself from exclaiming in disbelief after hearing Corey's absurd words.
She, just like Kiefer, Selene, and Willow believed that this was a part of Corey's plan to ensure that they were treated well and not imprisoned once again. And although they believed that Corey was lying about knowing the cause of the destruction of their planet, they believed that whatever he was going to say would be something... incomprehensible and unbelievable.
And they were not wrong.
It was absolutely incomprehensible and unbelievable that a black book was the reason for the destruction of a planet.
Even Kiefer, Selene, and Willow, who had developed a sort of strong belief in Corey, were looking at him with expressions of disbelief.
"You could not think of something better? Like maybe a world devouring beast? Or the attack of an extremely powerful immortal? Or the collision of two worlds? Or... I don't fucking know, something that's not a book?!"
Corey had the urge to roll his eyes at Pamela's words, but he merely chose to gesture at the Queen and her children.
Pamela frowned, and when she saw the expressions of Queen Nerith and the princesses and prince, she blinked multiple times in disbelief.
"Tell me you're joking?" She looked at Corey. "A bloody book destroyed their planet?"
She asked while pointing at Queen Nerith, and Corey smiled.
"Yeah. A black book destroyed their world."
"Wha- but? But... that doesn't make any sense at all. How can a bloody book destroy an entire planet?"
She asked, but Corey merely shrugged.
"How did you know that it was a black book? Are you a seer or do you have the abilities of a seer by chance?"
Queen Nerith asked with a baffled and also solemn gaze while staring intensely at Corey. It was almost like she wanted to peer deep into his body and uncover his secrets, but she chose not to for several reasons.
Meanwhile Corey shook his head. "I'm not a seer, but I know about that book cause it's actually... well... mine."
The eyes of Queen Nerith widened slightly, and then she narrowed her eyes.
"How could such a book be yours? That is not an item that should be in the hands of just any average Immortal, talk less of a human."
Corey exhaled softly. "It's a reward I got for completing a system quest, but it was..." He paused and smacked his lips as a bitter taste suddenly appeared in his mouth. "It was stolen from me by a particularly snake-like bastard, and because of him, the book vanished and I guessed it destroyed your world as a result when coming back to this planet."
Queen Nerith frowned. "So, the book came back to your world to get back to you since you're the owner?"
Corey shrugged. "I don't know actually. I've never even touched the book." He scoffed. "But it's mine, and I believe that I'm one of the very few people that can actually possess that book."
"And why do you think so?" Queen Nerith asked while tilting her head slightly.
Corey smiled. "Cause you're a living proof of the fact that not just anybody can handle that book."
He then pointed at her hair. Precisely, the tip of her hair which had a dull and somewhat rusted appearance. Instead of it to be pure silver like the rest of her hair, the tip of her hair looked... dead.
"I can sense the aura of the book on tip of your hair and also slightly in you. So I know you've come in contact with the book. And I also know that you have been extremely weakened either directly or indirectly by the book."
Queen Nerith's face twitched slightly as she subconsciously recalled the past due to Corey's words.
Meanwhile, Corey noticed the twitch on her face, but he continued speaking.
"So my first request is this. I need the black book."
Queen Nerith looked at Corey for a few seconds before releasing a soft sigh.
"That accursed book is not with me."
