Corey found himself in a world of dry, cracked land. It was a drought stricken land where the very air itself seemed dry and had an abnormal lack of moisture.
If a Tier 0 mortal human were to stay here for more than a day, he or she would die due to lack of water.
Corey looked around with a calm expression, the previous concern and anxiousness he had when he wanted to stop Klaus from unleashing the shell world was no more.
He calmly observed his surroundings, and he saw that there was nothing else in this artificial world apart from the dry land and the brown clouds in the sky.
The world felt incomplete on every level, and it was not surprising since this was an artificial world.
'The space here is more solid and vast than the outside world, and the barrier that separates us from the outside world is very powerful.'
'I won't be able to destroy it with my power, and that should not be surprising since the shell world was created to be able to withstand the powers of Immortals.'
'Even the gravity here is stronger than normal. If Kiefer were here, he would have struggled to stand upright.'
'Also...' His eyes flashed, and his brows furrowed slightly. '...I can't teleport out of here even with void force.'
He shifted his gaze to Queen Nerith, and he saw her having an extremely deep frown on her face.
He frowned as a result, not understanding why she had such an expression.
'My instincts are telling me that something's wrong.'
Just as Corey had this thought, a chuckle resounded in the shell world. He turned, and looked at Klaus who was the source of the chuckle.
"Why the long face, Queen Nerith?" He asked with a mocking smile.
Queen Nerith looked at Klaus with an extremely dark expression. Syrelle and Orynthia noticed their mother's expression, and worry instantly appeared on their faces.
"Mother. What's wrong?" Syrelle asked with a worried expression, and Klaus scoffed.
"Yes, your 'majesty', what's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" Klaus mocked once again in disdain, and Corey, Pamela, Jeremy, and the others, all looked at Queen Nerith to know what was wrong.
Queen Nerith's remained on Klaus, and after a few seconds, she released a deep sigh and gave her daughter a smile.
"Nothing that's too significant. I'll handle it."
Klaus scoffed loudly in disdain while shaking his head in disappointment.
"How disappointing and foolish. At least, you should consider the lives of your family and your allies before you lie to them to save face. I'm sure some of them are banking on you to save them from this predicament. So why don't you tell them what exactly the problem is?"
A murderous light flashed in Queen Nerith's eyes, but before she could speak, Klaus spoke.
"Or you know what, I'll tell them instead." He chuckled with a dark smile while his eyes flashed with a blood red light.
"This shell world cut off her connection to the world tree"
"What?!" Syrelle and Orynthia screamed in shock, and they looked at their mother with wide eyes that was full of anxiety, disbelief, and also fear.
Klaus rolled his eyes at the reactions of the daughters which he considered dramatic. But anybody that knew the significance of Klaus' words would know that the reactions of Syrelle and Orynthia was warranted.
If any other Silver Elf heard his words, their reactions would be the same. Maybe even more extreme.
Klaus looked at Corey. "In case you don't know, the reason why the Queen of the Silver Elves is so powerful despite being in Tier 7 is because she's connected to the World Tree. The World Tree enables her to be like a god on her world, and although this is just a fragment of the world of the Silver Elves, it still allows her to be like a god on this world fragment."
"There are other benefits in having a connection with the world tree, but I'm not going to go into that since it doesn't matter."
"Point is that the queen's confidence and that of her daughters' were based on her connection with the world tree. But since that's no more, along with the world tree very soon... This world would be your graves." Klaus gave a cold smile at Corey, Pamela, Jeremy and the rest, causing the already tense atmosphere to become more tense.
Corey's expression remained calm regardless, however, his Stars of Consciousness were working furiously to figure out several methods of survival.
'This is definitely not all. Although the queen might not have the support of the World Tree, that does not mean she's weak. She's a Tier 7, and I cannot sense a single Immortal amongst them.'
'And it's not only the queen they'll have to face, they'll have to face her daughters who are also Tier 7s.'
'Do they plan on using Immortal Weapons and Artifacts to battle them? It's possible. I don't know the abilities of Immortal Weapons, so they might have some that are able to allow them to face the queen and her daughters.'
'But it's obvious that only Immortals would be able to bring out the full power of an Immortal Artifact or Weapon.'
'For example...'
Corey looked at the man that had been holding the Immortal Artifact that was a mirror. Although the shield was still present, he could sense that it was weaker than it was. His strike and Queen Nerith's had weakened it considerably.
But that's not what Corey was focusing on. His attention was on the man who was controlling the Immortal Artifact, and he could see the pale and weak expression of the man, along with the flickering aura of the man.
Through Soul Perception, he could even see that the man's soul was damage because he activated the Immortal Artifact.
'If they want to use Immortal Artifacts or Weapons against the queen and her daughters, it would not be easy and worth it at the same time.'
'It's a possibility, but I have a feeling they have another plan. And I hope it won't be the end of us.'
'What about the queen?'
Corey shifted his gaze to Queen Nerith, and when he saw her expression, his lips could not help but twitch.
'Why do I feel like things are about to get a lot more worse?'
