Chapter 301 Sword Immortal

When previously immersed in the Inner Realm, the crooked path that rose from the void had now transformed into a flat road wide enough to accommodate a carriage in Lu Ren's eyes.

This was an incredibly astonishing change, and it seemed as though everything was preparing for Path Determination.

After Path Determination, it would be an entirely different world.

It could be called the True Immortal Realm.

Seeking the path is so difficult, who knows how Chang Xin and those guys managed to do it.

The next morning, Erwa got up in high spirits. After agreeing to have Lu Ren teach her how to build a wooden house the night before, she hadn't slept all night.

Lu Ren opened his eyes, looking at Erwa who was full of expectation. Without saying much, he looked down at his hands and feet, which were a circle bigger than the day before, and then spoke.

"Do you know in the forest, which trees have no snakes, insects, or rats nearby that you can't see?"

Erwa thought hard, slapped her forehead, and said, "I know, there's a grove about halfway up Square Head Mountain where I haven't heard any sounds of snakes or bugs."

Lu Ren nodded slightly, "When you go hunting, cut down a tree there and bring it back."

Erwa happily agreed and left excitedly.

Lu Ren moved his legs, as small as those of a two-year-old child, with tender skin, white and smooth.

The progress of his limb regeneration was much slower than he expected.

Logically, with his current flesh and blood activity, even limb regeneration wouldn't have been this slow. At this pace, it would take at least a year to restore himself to his original physique.

When Erwa appeared carrying a tree big enough for an adult to encircle in front of the thatched hut.

Lu Ren sat on the ground, reached out his only left hand to touch it carefully, and nodded slightly, "This tree is good, it can be used to build a wooden house."

"How do we build it? How do we build it?" Erwa was quite excited.

"First cut down forty or fifty more."

"How much is forty or fifty?"

Lu Ren: "..."

Helplessly, Lu Ren spent half an hour teaching her to count from one to ten, then just told her to chop down as many as possible.

For several days in a row, apart from hunting and cutting trees, Erwa spent her time shaving tree bark with a small knife.

This was a meticulous task, as creating a mortise-and-tenon structure required some precise indentations to be polished out.

Then, Lu Ren moved his legs, like those of a three-year-old child, and stood upright, his appearance utterly comical, making Erwa, standing nearby, burst into laughter and take a long time to recover.

Lu Ren remained expressionless, waiting until the laughter subsided before saying lightly, "Go dig the foundation."

Erwa, feeling a bit embarrassed, covered her mouth, stifling her laughter and worrying, said, "Uncle, your legs are so small, are you sure they'll be okay?"

Lu Ren was expressionless: "Even so, these legs are still harder than yours."

Indeed, they were harder, even though they looked like the legs of a three-year-old child now, their toughness was definitely of steel bones.

Seeing Lu Ren's expressionless face, what Erwa wanted to say froze in her heart, and she obediently began pressing the ground with the wooden stakes she had brought back.

It took nearly ten days, under Lu Ren's direction, a two-story wooden house covering about a hundred square meters was erected.

Filthy all over, Erwa suddenly lay down on the ground.

"I never realized that building a house could be such a tiring thing."

Lu Ren ignored Erwa's complaints, slowly walked around the house, and, after ensuring there were no major issues, said beside Erwa, "This is your new home now."

Erwa was also very excited. This was the house she built with her own hands, and she would live here from now on.

"If I were like those immortals, able to use techniques, wouldn't this house have been built in the blink of an eye?"

Erwa climbed up and down, muttering to herself.

Lu Ren's expression shifted slightly, but he was not overly surprised. In an environment like this, he truly did not believe there were cultivators without tremendous powers attributed to themselves.

Just as he was about to ask, his eyes suddenly focused, looking towards the direction of the Taihang Mountain Range.

Faintly, there was the sound of the wind being broken, coming nearer and nearer.

Then, two silver sword lights appeared in Lu Ren's sight, crossing the horizon like meteors, fleeting in an instant.

Even from nearly a kilometer away, Lu Ren could clearly feel the sharpness emanating from those sword lights.

Lu Ren squinted slightly, seeing clearly that there were two people riding swords, as described in novels, Sword Immortals flying by sword.

A pair of a man and a woman, huh.

Chen Tianshou suddenly turned his head, looking down with a puzzled expression.

Li Caishang, flying close beside him, couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong, Senior Brother?"

Chen Tianshou shook his head slightly, "It's nothing, maybe I've been too sensitive lately, I felt like someone was watching me just now, but the feeling was fleeting. Perhaps all the happenings in the sect recently have left me a bit unsettled."

Li Caishang comforted, "There's no need for us to worry too much about sect matters, Sect Leader knows what to do."

After a pause, she added, "If Senior Brother is feeling troubled, Caishang can go kill those two mortals and extract their souls for you to vent."

Li Caishang's words were extremely malicious, yet Chen Tianshou seemed accustomed to it, shaking his head slightly, "No need to waste effort on such trivial matters, the important tasks take precedence."

Li Caishang nodded slightly, saying nothing more, but she made a mental note of it.

...

...

Lu Ren retracted his gaze, turning to Erwa, watching her run around the house, carefree and joyous.

Despite building it with her own hands, she was utterly enamored by it.

"Erwa, do you want to learn how to better utilize your power?"

"Better utilize my power?" Erwa was full of confusion, "What use is it?"

Lu Ren thought for a moment, then spoke, "It can make hunting easier for you. Didn't you say prey often escapes? Once you learn this, they won't escape your grasp."

Hearing this, Erwa grinned widely and nodded happily, "I want to learn!"

Time flowed like water. Over a month, Lu Ren initially taught Erwa a fist technique specially customized for her. With his current strength and realm, creating a personalized fist technique for someone was just a trivial matter.

"Erwa, when is your Grandpa Niu coming over?"

Erwa was fully focused, practicing fists with relish. For some reason, she felt that this fist technique seemed made for her; the more she practiced, the more comfortable it felt. Upon hearing Lu Ren's inquiry, she absentmindedly replied.

"Probably in a day or two. Uncle, why do you look forward to him so much?"

"I need a set of clothes."

These days, Lu Ren had been moving around wearing just a highly elastic pair of shorts, as the fish scale combat suit and astronaut suit he had been wearing had long been torn to shreds.
