Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear

Chapter 244: Your Haru

[New Event!

This is the time for you to shine! Before the debut, the stage name menu is being reopened! If you wish to change your stage name now, please do so already!

Event Duration: 14 days]

This was what Rayen had been waiting for. Before, he completely missed the time when they could change their stage name and repeatedly cussed Mini Plotter upon learning about it.

Now, it seemed like Mini Plotter was doing its job well.

Before that though, Rayen decided to get breakfast first. There was still a long time before the event ended, so there was no need to hurry.

As soon as he arrived at the dining room, he saw some members of the group had already gathered there.

Once again, Ren was wearing his pink apron, but today, he willingly put it on as it was his duty to cook. Meanwhile, the others were busy typing with their phones.

Fortunately, their lazy ass leader was still in bed, so he hadn't witnessed this sacrilegious scene at the dining table.

Rayen sat down on one of the seats and started eating.

At this time, Yeo Haru had also gone out from their bedroom, his earlier distress no longer apparent on his face. Instead, he was almost jumping in joy.

The elder members all turned to Yeo Haru.

"You didn't go to school?" Mr. Big News asked with a surprised voice.

Hearing that, Yeo Haru's steps halted. His lips turned down.

"I obviously didn't," Yeo Haru responded, pulling out one of the chairs and sitting on it.

"Why—"

"Have you all seen the new event?" Yeo Haru interrupted, forcefully changing the topic.

Sensing his discomfort, Ren went along with him, "The new event? What of it?"

Yeo Haru grinned. "I already changed my stage name! Do you want to hear it?"

The other members pursed their lips. They didn't need to hear it to know that it was terrible.

'So, did he put a Z on his name?' Rayen mused to himself.

Upon seeing Rayen's expression, Yeo Haru gritted his teeth. "Rayen bro, aren't you so harsh with me?"

Rayen chuckled wryly, but didn't deny Yeo Haru's accusations. Well, it was the truth, so what was there to even deny?

Even though Yeo Haru acted hurt, he still went ahead and showed everyone his stage name.

[Your Haru]

"....."

"Isn't it neat? My family name sounds like the word your, so I just replaced it so that my fans could say I'm theirs."

A few moments later, they all glanced at Yeo Haru with a pitiful gaze. Suddenly, Yeo Haru felt someone tapping his shoulder. Turning his head to look at the owner of this hand, he saw Xi Huan's almost crying face.

"What's wrong with you?" Your Haru asked.

Xi Huan shook her head and wiped her imaginary tears using a handkerchief that came from nowhere.

"I'm truly, truly pitying you, Haruru. Even the nickname I've given you is better," Xi Huan said.

After saying what was in her mind, she stopped patting Yeo Haru and grabbed her share of food.

Adrian also appeared from the dining room door, leaning on its frame. "I understand your love for the fans, Yeo Haru, but your tastes in names are just..."

Then, he eyed the phones in their hands. Immediately, Yeo Haru put his phone down and also began eating.

Satisfied, Adrian walked to the table.

Since Mr. Big News was already done eating, he kept using his phone. From time to time, he would look up as though thinking of something.

Finally, after doing this a few more times, he glanced at Iris and Adrian.

"Umh... Can you suggest a good name for me? I'm really struggling to come up with something for myself..." Mr. Big News said.

Suddenly, Adrian turned his gaze toward Rayen, letting out a charming grin. "Why don't you ask Eureka over there?"

Rayen's spoon stopped midway. He glanced up only to see Mr. Big News's doubtful eyes.

'Why am I getting dragged into the spotlight again?'

"I... I don't think he could give me a good name," Mr. Big News muttered.

'... Seriously, why am I getting attacked out of nowhere? I'm just silently eating here!'

"But Eureka already calls you by a nickname. I think it suits you quite well."

Rayen was rendered speechless.

"Really?"

Mr. Big News still looked at him with doubtful eyes, though. After all, Rayen was among the members who were terrible at thinking up names.

But despite the doubt, his trust in their leader was even stronger.

Rayen glared at Adrian. Does this guy really want to force this nickname out of his mouth? And besides, he didn't really remember mentioning this nickname to anyone, so how could Adrian even know of it?

Mr. Big News continued to stare at Rayen, anticipation visible in his eyes. Coupled with his very gentle face, Rayen felt intimidated.

"M-Mr..."

Mr. Big News raised his brows in anticipation. "Mister?"

Finally, Rayen blurted out the whole phrase, "Mr. Big News..."

"....."

Rayen's face turned red.

'Damn, I really said it.'

Mr. Big News chuckled dryly. "Well, thank you for that... But I don't think it suits me well."

Adrian also chuckled. "Isn't it quite quirky?"

"It is... But it sounds too... cocky."

Rayen blinked. Surprisingly, Mr. Big News didn't seem to hate it.

Mr. Big News noticed his baffled expression. "Well, I know that my name is really hard to pronounce. I've gotten used to others calling me by different names."

Finally, Iris also said something.

"Why don't you just get help from the fans? Since we've already done it, why not do it again?"

Mr. Big News's eyes brightened. "I'll try. I'll go and register an account later. Thanks."

Iris smiled. "You're welcome."

Rayen also silently went back to eating. Later, he'd probably do the same as Iris suggested.

After breakfast, Rayen settled back inside their bedroom. He took out his phone and logged in to his account.

But then, he remembered...

'If I ask what Rayen's stage name should be using this hater account, what kind of response would I even get?'

Immediately, Rayen shook his head and laughed. Am I that bored?

So, he logged out of the account and was just about to register for a new, proper one, when Mini Plotter's head popped out from the corner of his screen.

"I'm so sorry," Mini Plotter said immediately.

'Sorry? Why are you apologizing?'

Then, Rayen soon learned the reason why.

"You are no longer eligible to participate in the new event."

"....."
