Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear

Chapter 300: Cooking Show

At Gyeongwon Affiliated High School's canteen, the students were gathered together with their friends, chit-chatting while eating their food.

Amidst the countless conversations, there was a particular topic that stood out among the crowd. Whispers of this topic were going around the entire place.

"Have you heard about it?"

"What?"

"The Elite Club was kicked out of their club room."

"What?!"

"You mean that elite club?"

"Yeah. Is there any other elite club in our school?"

"Who dared cross them?"

"I heard it's a newbie club."

"A newbie club? Is it that???"

"They really have the guts?"

"By the way, where did you all hear this?"

"Hehe..."

...

Outside Room 434, except Rayen, the members of the Healing Arts Club had set up a table for their small gathering. Xu Jiji diligently lined up the registration form on the table before sitting to wait. With their room still yet to be available, they could only do this.

Behind them, a line of people was busy scrambling in and out of Room 434. Xu Jiji silently watched them for a second before turning back to Miles and Yuzuka.

"I have something to ask."

Yuzuka only stared at him, waiting for his question. Xu Jiji gestured for her to get close. But before she could, Miles stopped her and gestured for Xu Jiji to get close to him instead.

"How do we know if a person is an Entity so we could recruit them?" Xu Jiji whispered, not minding Miles's actions.

"It's by simply taking a look at their Life Books," Miles also whispered.

"If you've always known that they're Entities, why don't you recruit them? I've always wondered why there are still Unaffiliated Entities."

Yuzuka and Miles looked at each other. Yeo Haru also leaned in slightly to hear their answers.

"It's not that we didn't. It's just that..." Yuzuka trailed off with her words.

A few moments later, Miles decided to enable a scenario to prevent others from eavesdropping. This book page would censor the important words coming out of their mouths. Even if people coming in and out of Room 434 passed by, they would only be able to witness the members of the Healing Arts Club discussing trivial matters.

"They don't have an affinity with fate," Miles said.

But what the others could hear was...

"They don't have the love of my life."

Xu Jiji frowned as he considered their explanation. "If they don't have an affinity with fate, does that mean they can't read fate as you do?"

"If they don't have the love of your life, does that mean they can't eat in your house as you do?"

"....." The people moving the things out of Room 434 briefly glanced at them.

What the hell are they talking about?

"They can't see what's written in a Life Book," Miles said.

"They can't see what I cooked for them."

Yuzuka also added, "But we don't read fate. We just let it guide us. There's no certain fate for everyone. Librarians just choose a line that would bring the most benefits and hand it out to the Scribes to write, while the Binders bind it to the Life Book to guide the soul into the best path."

"But we don't cook food. We just let it cook itself. There's no certain way to cook them. Chefs just stare at the food and let them determine what kind of dish they will be, while the guests eat the leftovers and enjoy the show."

"Guide? So, does that mean what you put in the Life Book wouldn't necessarily happen?" Yeo Haru suddenly chimed in.

"Show? So, does that mean they can still enter your house?"

Yuzuka nodded. "That is indeed the case."

"Let's not sway from the topic," Miles interrupted. "We should focus on recruiting Unaffiliated Entities. Since they don't have affinities with fate, they can't work and earn merits to produce more petals. This opportunity would certainly be good for them as they would be able to earn merits without working on fate. They will surely come to us by themselves. There's no need to look at their Life Books manually."

"Let's not sway from the topic. We should focus on the love of my life. Since they don't love me, they can't eat my food either. This opportunity will certainly be good for them as they will be able to watch the show without eating. They will surely come to us by themselves. There is no need to cook for them."

"But waiting passively for them to come sounds too slow..." Xu Jiji said. "If we can, I'd also like to scout for them ourselves."

"But waiting passively for them to come sounds too slow. If we can, I'd also like to court them ourselves."

Hearing his words, Miles grimaced. Yuzuka also smiled wryly.

"But to do that... We can only manually look at their Life Books," Yuzuka said.

"But to do that... We can only cook them dinner."

Xu Jiji blinked. "Eh?"

"That's too much work. I don't want to do that. Let those who want to work come by themselves!" Miles leaned back on his seat.

"Don't you have a database for those kinds of things? Can't you access it through your system?"

"Don't you have a maid for those kinds of things? Can't you let them cook for them?"

"Our Entity System is just a few years old," Yuzuka said.

"Our maid is just a few years old."

"A few years old? How old exactly?"

"Well, as old as the position of the Overseers. About a few hundred years?"

"Well, as old as our almighty and overbearing idol. About 16 years old?"

"... Isn't a few hundred years not just a few?"

"Isn't 16 years old not just a few?"

Yuzuka laughed.

"The creator of this system is the Scribes' Overseer. He's known as a genius, but he's so busy with nonsense things that we haven't even experienced any updates for hundreds of years," Miles complained, briefly glancing at Yoo Gyeo.

"The greatest chef of our mansion is the almighty and overbearing idol. He's known as a genius, but he's so busy with the greatest things that we haven't even tasted his cooking for so many years."

However, Yoo Gyeo remained silent.

"We only received an update after Idol:Revive's project," Yuzuka said.

"We only ate his dish after the show."

"But there's still nothing regarding that database."

"But there's still nothing regarding the show."

The people listening to their conversation: "....."

What the hell did they just listen to?
