From A Producer To A Global Superstar

Chapter 155: Timo

Dayo and Timo didn't stop yet. They left the area and moved to the next location.

They met a homeless man with a cardboard sign.

"Want to spin?" Dayo asked gently.

The man hesitated but nodded. "Okay."

The wheel spun… and stopped at Rent Support.

A crowd began forming again, just like the other locations.

The homeless man didn't understand what was happening at first. Dayo explained he was paying for temporary housing for him for the next few months and would get him cleaned up.

The man cried so hard he couldn't even speak.

People recorded everything—not to mock him, but because the moment felt too real to ignore.

Dayo handed him a pack of JAD Treats too.

"For you," he said.

The man hugged him weakly.

Dayo then helped the man into his car. They drove to a salon, got him cleaned up, shaved, and even did pedicure for him. After that, Dayo took him to pick a small apartment and paid for six months upfront.

By this point, the homeless man was already shaking with tears. Dayo had to calm him down.

Afterward, they went shopping for basic home items. Before leaving him, the man hugged Dayo tightly and thanked him again and again.

---

Hours passed.

Dozens of people spun the wheel. Some won big, some won small, but everyone walked away with something.

Timo kept shaking his head. "Bro… this is insane. This is going to blow up."

"It's not about blowing up," Dayo said. "It's about doing something that matters."

Timo nodded. "Yeah… but it will still blow up."

"Haha, yeah it will." Dayo smiled.

And it did.

Even before they finished filming, clips were already spreading across social media. People were tagging each other, arguing, shouting, screaming.

"JD is outside in Texas doing giveaways?!"

"This guy left for 4 years and came back like this?!"

"I just saw him pay a student's fees live!"

"The way he smiles hasn't changed."

"He's too real."

"He's different."

"I didn't expect this at all."

Some didn't believe it.

"This has to be fake."

"Deepfake?"

"No. He's right here. I saw him."

"He gave me chocolate."

"Since when does JD have a chocolate brand?!"

Within minutes, #JADTreats, #JDIsBack, and #JDTexasGiveaway climbed to the top of every trending list.

Timo zoomed in and ended the last clip with Dayo waving at the camera.

"First content complete," Dayo said.

Timo laughed. "Bro… this is bigger than I thought."

Dayo just smiled quietly.

Now it was time for the editing — which was one of his hidden skills. He decided he would only edit this first video himself. After this, he would hire someone else. Editing was a long, tiring task, and he didn't want to bury himself in it.

Four hours later, after adding effects, cutting parts, adjusting sound, and inserting his old songs naturally into the scenes, he looked to his side and saw Timo sleeping on the couch.

Dayo tapped him. "It's done, Timo. Check this out."

Timo sat up immediately. "Uh… you're done?"

Dayo nodded. "Yeah. Check it."

The video started with the JD icon fading in, then switched to the first scene — the lady with the backpack, her shocked reaction, soft emotional music under the clip, and smooth transitions. Dayo had used his old songs carefully in the background — subtle, not forced. This was another form of promotion, but natural, not desperate.

The video ended with Dayo smiling at the camera.

"This is your boy, JD."

Then the camera turned to Timo, who was grinning.

"And your boy, Timo."

Then back to Dayo.

"I'm back and out on the streets showing love to everyone out there. Make sure you drop a like and subscribe on my YouTube. There are surprises waiting for you, so be ready."

Dayo sat back and looked at Timo. "So what do you think?"

Timo stared with his mouth open. "You edited this in four hours?"

Dayo blinked. "Was it that bad?"

"No—bro, it's TOO good. I spend half a day and can't get anywhere close to this."

Dayo just stayed quiet.

Timo shook his head. "Dayo… is there anything you can't do?"

Dayo gave a smug smile. "Nope. I'm not sure there is something like that."

"Ugh, oh my God… and he's not even humble about it," Timo said dramatically.

They looked at each other and burst into laughter almost instantly.

"So," Dayo said, "tomorrow we go again. But I'll look for someone who's into camera work so you can also show in the videos more."

Timo froze, surprised. His eyes turned red instantly.

Dayo noticed. "Yo… bro, you good? Why are you teary?"

Timo sniffed. He had been going through a lot, although he never said it. He honestly thought Dayo just needed him as a camera guy — not knowing Dayo saw him as more. And it wasn't Timo's fault to think that way. Everywhere they went, people only recognized Dayo… never him.

"Thanks, bro… I really appreciate it," Timo said, voice shaky.

"You better hold that tears here." Dayo tossed him a set of keys.

"This apartment is yours. The documents are under the table. And the car outside? Yours too."

"…"

Timo stood up instantly.

"WHAT!!!"

"Are… are you serious, bro?" Timo asked in shock. "This is too much… why?"

Dayo smiled. "Lol, you deserve it, bro."

Dayo had done his research. He knew Timo was struggling. And even with his problems, Timo still gave to the poor and smiled while doing it. Dayo didn't tell him, but he also paid his sister's university fees and cleared his parents' loan.

To Dayo, what was the point of helping strangers while ignoring someone close to him who was drowning?

This was Dayo's belief — grow together.

"Alright, enough crying. Let's post this video," Dayo said, walking back to his chair.

Timo wiped his eyes, smiling through the tears. "Yeah… let's do this."

Dayo smiled at this made a silent prayer before hitting the poat button.

Now all he had to do was wait to see if all his hard which he knew would pay.
