SSS Ranked Awakening: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 321: Stalemate

After both of them were inside the time dimension, the environment was completely new to the monster. It noticed the endless green landscape stretching in all directions. There was no sun or moon in the sky above—just a soft, ambient glow that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere at once.

But most importantly, the mana here was so abundant compared to outside. The density was staggering, nearly matching its own home planet.

Such rich energy. This place is extraordinary.

But that observation didn't matter right now.

The monster had just gotten out of that weird frozen state, which had made it immobile for a precious second. Fury exploded through its consciousness.

RRRRAAAHHH!

It screamed with bloodlust, filling every syllable, its hand reaching directly for the human it was going to absorb right now. There was no need to fall for this human's words anymore, no reason to play games or make deals.

I have already achieved excellent results. I obtained an extreme amount of mana from those potions. Even if the human has one more, I don't care now. I will simply take it from his corpse if possible, if not, then be it is.

When it was about to get a hold of the human's throat once again, the human teleported just like before.

FWOOSH!

But the monster was ready this time, predicting the move precisely from earth and life energy and lunging toward where it expected Leon to appear.

However, it failed to catch him.

What?!

The human had teleported much farther than he'd used before—several hundred meters instead of just one hundred. The monster's speed, while terrifying, wasn't able to reach him across that distance before Leon could act again.

It arrived in front of the human's new position, expecting another immediate teleportation like the annoying pattern from before.

But the human just stood there, not moving.

Haha! His mana is spent! No one can save him now!

However, there was a smirk on the human's face that the monster didn't like. Something was wrong. That expression wasn't fear or desperation—it was confidence.

But the monster was determined to devour the strange human regardless. No tricks would save him.

Leon felt the blur of the monster about to catch him in any millisecond, but he didn't move. That smirk remained plastered on his face.

He didn't even need his spatial awareness to help here. In this dimension, he could detect the monster without the limitation of its overwhelming speed. It was like feeling a bullet coming at him as a normal human would—terrifying in concept, but he wasn't worried.

Because I'm the master here. With enough control to make sure that this overpowered monster wouldn't be able to catch me in a million years.

Instead of teleporting himself, Leon simply had a single thought.

The monster teleported a kilometer backward from the direction it came, vanishing from directly in front of him.

FWOOSH!

I feel good that my luck worked out. This monster is trapped in here now. Without my permission, it will never be able to get out. And this creature won't be able to touch a single hair on my head while we're in my domain.

The monster suddenly found itself back where it had started, the strange human who had been within its reach now impossibly far away again.

It was genuinely startled.

How did that happen?! Did the human teleport me?!

But it didn't give up, thinking this might be the human's last desperate attempt—some technique that would exhaust him completely.

I just need to push through whatever trick this is!

It attacked again with its terrifying speed, this time going even faster than before. It had become stronger from consuming the human's blood, and it also had significantly more energy now. That energy was constantly healing its damaged soul, mending wounds that had festered for centuries.

Not only that, but the feeling of being surrounded by abundant mana after so long was incredibly addictive to its consciousness.

WHOOOOSH!

This place might actually be perfect for my plans. If I absorb this human and then find a way to stay here, I could recover fully within months instead of decades.

The monster was actually feeling quite pleased that they'd come here. This dimension might accelerate its goals dramatically.

Leon was restoring his mana and healing his injuries in record time. The abundant mana here worked like a healing bath, pouring energy into his depleted reserves and knitting torn tissue back together.

Sssshhhrrrp... whoooosh...

He noticed the monster coming again, moving like a black streak across the green landscape.

With another casual thought, he teleported it back to where it came from.

FWOOSH!

This time, the monster—frustratingly arriving back to where it had started its attack—roared at the top of its lungs. The sound was primal, filled with rage and confusion.

RRRRAAAAAAHHH!

YOU ARE DONE FOR, HUMAN!!!

The threat echoed across the dimension, but Leon just watched calmly.

Then the monster's body began changing shape. Its form became sharper, more streamlined—muscles compressing, limbs elongating slightly, its entire structure optimizing for pure speed.

Leon noticed the transformation with growing concern.

It's adapting. Making itself faster.

And then it attacked again.

BOOOOOM!

The sonic boom was deafening. Speed so incomprehensibly fast that it arrived almost instantaneously in front of Leon, covering a kilometer in what seemed like a fraction of a heartbeat.

Leon teleported it back to its starting spot with just a thought.

FWOOSH!

However, he had to create a wind barrier around himself at the last possible moment just to avoid getting knocked backward by the sheer pressure of its passing.

The barrier erupted in a cyclone of swirling force, slicing the grass in concentric rings. Blades of air howled past his ears, cool and razor-thin, like invisible daggers brushing skin.

The creature had become fifty to eighty percent faster than when he'd been facing it outside.

That's terrifying. Absolutely terrifying.

Even before, it had been something he couldn't handle properly. But now this creature seemed impossible to beat in direct combat. He felt outraged at how such a beast could exist in the middle domain.

If I'd been a millisecond late, the monster would have punctured my neck before I could react.

He took a deep breath and released a long sigh of relief.

Then, with deliberate casualness, Leon sat cross-legged on the ground.

The mana-rich air buzzed softly against his skin like static silk, each breath a slow infusion of pure energy. His heartbeat slowed, syncing to the rhythm of the dimension itself—calm, deep, unhurried.

His eyes closed peacefully, as if meditating in a tranquil garden rather than facing a world-class monster.

There was only one motive behind this move: humiliation.

This monster had dominated him for so long outside, beating him down and making him feel helpless. But now it was his turn to play around with it.

I know I can't kill it. Not yet. But I can make it feel the same humiliation I felt.

He mocked the creature while boosting his voice with the air element so it would carry clearly across the distance.

"Too slow! If you try a bit harder, you might actually catch me while I'm sitting here cross-legged with my eyes closed!"

The taunt hung in the air like a challenge.

RRRRAAAHHH!

The monster's rage intensified to nuclear levels. Its green flaming eyes burned brighter than ever, practically exploding with fury.

INSOLENT WORM!!!

It charged again, pushing its newly enhanced body to absolute limits. The speed was beyond comprehension now—faster than sound, faster than lightning, faster than anything that should exist at this power level.

BOOOOOM! CRACK! WHOOOOSH!

The air itself seemed to tear apart from its passage.

Leon didn't even open his eyes.

With a lazy mental command, he teleported the monster back to its starting position once more.

FWOOSH!

"Missed again," Leon called out, still sitting peacefully with his eyes closed. "Maybe you should try moving even faster? I'm getting bored here."

The monster materialized back at its starting point, trembling with absolute fury. Its entire body shook, muscles spasming with rage.

I WILL TEAR YOU APART!!! I WILL DEVOUR YOUR SOUL!!! I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER FOR ETERNITY!!!

It attacked again. And again. And again.

Each time, Leon simply teleported it back with a thought, not even bothering to open his eyes or move from his cross-legged position.

FWOOSH! FWOOSH! FWOOSH! FWOOSH!

The monster was caught in an impossible loop—charging forward with everything it had, only to be instantly returned to the start before it could even touch its target.

"Still too slow," Leon commented after the tenth attempt, his voice infuriatingly calm. "You know, at this rate, I might actually fall asleep. Should I take a nap while you keep trying?"

RRRRAAAAAAHHH!

The monster's roar could have shattered mountains. Its consciousness was fragmenting with rage, ancient pride being crushed under the weight of complete helplessness.

How?! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! I am faster! I am stronger! WHY CAN'T I REACH HIM?!

It didn't understand the fundamental rule Leon had discovered through trial and error over months of using this dimension: the master of the space controlled everything within it. Speed, distance, position—all of it was subject to Leon's will.

The monster could be a million times faster, and it still wouldn't matter. Not here. Not in Leon's domain.

Leon finally opened one eye, peeking at the furious creature with amusement.

"You done yet? Or do you want to try some more? I've got all the time in the world here. Literally."

The monster stood at its starting position, chest heaving, green flames flickering erratically in its eye sockets. For the first time in nine hundred years, it felt something it had almost forgotten.

True, complete, absolute helplessness.
