The hivemind is conquering for me?

Chapter 617: "Please Evacuate Him"

"Everyone, begin making the necessary preparations for Apollo's hypothetical, I will acquire some ethically sourced catalysts for our next lesson. Apollo, come with me." Hecate declared and started floating away.

The group then moved out of the circle and towards a set of desks and began doing calculations and talking among one another. I looked between them and Hecate for a moment and began following Hecate, picking up a Valerica shaped backpack as I did so.

I then proceeded to follow Hecate into her office where she was sat on, what was clearly, a lavish throne. She was typing something furiously on her data pad as I sat down in a chair on the other side of her desk.

Valerica then moved her chair directly adjacent to mine and then sat on my lap, using it as a foot rest...

Hecate finished what she was doing quickly and looked up from her data pad and immediately frowned. "Don't even. Valerica. This was Apollo's accomplishment, don't even attempt the thought of feeling boastful about it, it had nothing to do with you."

Valerica put her hand to her chest and her cheek to my own and scoffed. "I have no idea what you are implying Hecate? I have done nothing? If you are referring to the point that my Son has just ever so casually found a fix to your current problem, well that is because he is a Hyllus, it is what we do. My child has all of my genetics in him after all, it's only natural he is a genius!"

"He is adopted you-" She stopped herself, it was pointless arguing with the demented woman. "-Apollo. How did you come up with the idea for using a catalyst to summon a Psionic entity? I must admit, quite shamefully, that the idea had not come to my mind despite it being a rather obvious solution. Have you summoned Psionic entities before with this Jewel figure?"

"Yes and no. So, you know about Sapphire right?" I asked, prompting Hecate to nod her head. "Well, the animal she was, a jungle cat, was the first thing I ever killed. I felt it my responsibility to honour her in that regard and brought her home to learn more about her. During my biopsy, my unique Psionic ability activated and turned her heart a deep Psionic blue. During that moment I felt compelled to fill it with Psionic energy. Jewel helped with this and hours later we had created my big girl. The heart was the catalyst and Sapphire was built around it, using the creature's ancient heritage and possible future evolution as the building blocks in place to help form the body. It is why she is so thick. She is a Psionic entity mimicking a flesh and blood body."

I didn't mention the part about a piece of my soul being within her, as it was not relevant to the current topic and Judging from the glistening look in Hecate's eye as she was taking in everything I just said, I had a feeling that was a good call.

"Oh! I should also mention, her composition is Psionically charged atoms compared to say a true Psionic entity capable of taking form here who would make their own body structure with Psionics in place of atoms. With a catalyst acting the part for the summoning circle, you are more likely going to have a being like my girl than a pure Psionic being, I hope that is ok?"

...

Hecate's face went blank and ignored me entirely as she turned her attention to Valerica. "Valerica. You need to take Apollo out of the room. His mind has turned me on with his knowledge and I do not diddle children. Please evacuate him until I have calmed down."

Valerica then sprang out of her chair and pointed accusingly. "AHA! I knew you had nefarious intentions towards my son! Shameless old woman! Apollo, let's go. If she gets her rat claws into you, who knows when I will next see you. Crazy old hag... Think you can take the love of my life from me? Dream on..."

Hecate remained neutral in the face as we left, aside from a slight twitching of the left eye as she suppressed her rage in front of Apollo. As the door to her office closed, she leant back in her chair and her face went from white to red in an instant.

"Fuck, his mind is beautiful! Why does he have to be eighteen! Why can't he be eighty!?!" She lamented. If he was that old, she'd trap him in a room and secrete all his secrets out though pleasurable means, but alas, he is an infant. It would be wrong.

'Still, he seems more than willing to share information and he definitely is not Spartari brainwashed... Perhaps a mutual exchange of illegal knowledge would make him more trusting and reveal the darker secrets he holds? like who his teacher is? She has to be an alien. Has to be. Would she take on other human students? Or are he and Orchid the exception? But again, what if she is just a powerful human that is just against the Spartari Regime? I could use that to my advantage. Exchange knowledge with her. I am sure she has gaps I can fill?"

Hecate closed her eyes for a short while to think out her future strategy for the prodigy. She supposed the greatest question she wanted to know was why could she feel anti Psionic elements coming from Apollo when he is clearly a powerful Psionic wielder? But she would play it slow. She may be well into her hundreds, but with her power growth, she would have no problem hitting six hundred. 'And I sure as shit am not sitting in a cave clinging to life like the other elders after that age... Fucking stupid was to gain power...'

No. She would do everything she could now to gain immeasurable power. Become a monster of Psionics and live up to her namesake's legacy as one of the greatest Psionic wielders Spartari has ever seen. It was her future. She etched it in stone personally and nothing would stop her from reaching that goal. Nothing.

Hecate shortly after collecting her thoughts breathed out in relief. The moment of heated body temperature passed. She then floated round to the guest chairs and opened a wormhole.

Reaching her hand through, she dragged the very heavy man she was thinking of through the wormhole and closed it before the red heifer could make it through. She then fell to her feet and ran to the door, locking it just in time as she felt a massive impact against the door followed by a series of banging's that she quickly used her Psionics to dampen the sound out of reality.

...

Sitting back down in the chair I was just pulled away from by Valerica, Hecate made her way back to her own chair and coughed to clear her throat. "I must formally apologise to you Apollo and make what just happened perfectly clear as I have noticed you have a lack of awareness in this department. I am attracted to your mind. I think it is beautiful, however, you are incredibly young, so I cannot find you personally attractive. So whenever you turn me on, I will ask you to leave. My main love is knowledge and Psionics after all."

'Oooh, well that explains that then, but what am I lacking awareness of?' I thought, but put it off to ask later. "Oh, well, I appreciate your candour and will be candid back. I find your Psionics to be equally stimulating. Also, don't worry about arousal when it comes to Psionics, trust me, I get it. I get random boners all the time when someone says something particularly exciting about Psionics or genetic science. I think going forward, we should both just tell the other when we reach that point and temporarily stop to gain composure. As the last thing I would want to do is make you uncomfortable around me."

Hecate nodded at my words. "Fair enough. If either of us get overstimulated, we shall tell the other to shut up. Informal, yet polite. I have a feeling we are going to get along well, Apollo." She said, reaching her hand over her desk.

I met her hand with my own. "Likewise." We then both smiled at one another and shook hands. I felt a shocking sensation towards the end, prompting me to pull away and Hecate must have felt it too as she looked at her own hand in confusion. She shook it off though and reached into her desk while asking.

"Now, Apollo. I want to ask you something personal before I get to the real reason I brought you in here, may I?"

I gestured my hand in agreement. "Go for it."

Hecate then picked up a large binder and opened it up while using telekinesis to raise a quill from her desk, dipped it in ink and had it ready by the book.

"Now, forgive Valerica for this, as she had your best interest at heart, but I heard you went back to wherever your home was a few months ago to treat Psionic decay? Now I have never met a survivor of Psionic decay, could you tell me about the experience? Purely for academic integrity and to expand knowledge of course... Oh! Please?"
