Re: God of Formation.

Chapter 142: Thousands of years schemes.

Jun Wu sat on the wooden bed, lost in thought. Now that he was left alone, he could finally think deeply about what the prophet had told them.

"What really happened in ancient times?" he muttered.

He felt as if they were thrust into the midst of a complicated scheme—a scheme that had been going on for thousands of years.

How were they going to stop a deep, hidden plot that had been going on for the past thousand years?

With their meager strength, they stood no chance. Apart from what the prophet had told them, from the ancient soul memory, he also inferred something.

From the ancient soul, he saw chaos and battle everywhere. However, since the memory was fragmented, it was difficult to piece together.

What he did know was that the ruins were two-edged swords. They were both their blessing and their curse.

In every ruin, their deeply hidden darkness waited to be unleashed. And if those cults started unleashing the darkness again—

The world would enter an age of darkness one more time. And in this, there wouldn't be any saving. The so-called deity would devour their world whole.

As Master Teacher, how could he allow that? Besides, as a transmigrator, he was not ready to die a meaningless death for the second time.

"I must speed up my plan…" he mused.

Originally, his hidden association was to fight against his enemies, but now he had to change his plan.

Apart from handling his enemies, he must also begin clearing all the ruins in the region. They must set everything ablaze.

"I must not forget the cultists. They're the vermin that must be eradicated as quickly as possible."

Just thinking of everything that must be done gave him numerous headaches.

He sighed heavily and took out an old parchment from his storage pouch. The parchment was made from an unknown material.

Even though a mere look showed it was very old, the parchment was still strong as new; no sign of fading could be seen.

He unfolded the parchment and stared at the vividly drawn map. Once again, they had received another map from the prophet.

Compared to the first map, this one was more complicated. On the map, three locations were marked.

Each marked location was far from the others. They would need to travel to many different places.

Who knew how dangerous those places were?

He shook his head and decided not to think about it any longer. His priority right now was to return to the Soaring Cloud Region and begin the plan.

Taking a deep breath, he drew out an ordinary dark beast soul core from his storage pouch.

He had learned more about the dark beast soul core from Ai Lian. Compared to an ordinary spirit stone, the dark beast soul core was easier to use for cultivation.

With the mounting pressure and the ever-growing darkness, he needed to increase his power as soon as possible.

He closed his eyes and activated the cultivation technique, the Thousand Mind Petal Lotus.

It was as if he split his mind into a thousand pieces, each cultivating differently.

Instantly, the pure energy inside the dark beast soul core drained at a visible speed. Feeling his rapid rise in cultivation, Jun Wu was stunned and opened his eyes.

"This…" he muttered, unable to hide his joy.

Suddenly, a daring thought struck him. "What if I use two more soul cores?"

Many might not be able to handle the influx of energy at the same time, but he did not have to worry about the problem.

With that thought taking root in his mind, he could not stop and drew out three more dark soul cores from his storage pouch.

Looking at the four soul cores, he took a deep breath and flashed his determination.

As long as it worked, he knew his cultivation would increase by leaps and bounds.

Without hesitation, he closed his eyes and began to cultivate.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

A strong draft stirred in his room and all the items floated around. Jun Wu did not notice this, as he was concentrated on his cultivation.

With the Thousand Mind Petal Lotus technique, the rapid influx of energy was easily handled. One circle, then the second circle, each body tempered continuously, with his strength increasing.

In the next room, Mei Ling sat on her bed, reading seriously. The old prophet had not merely told them what happened; she had given them some books.

These were history books that could provide some guidance. The books numbered in the thousands.

She would have been able to carry so many books, but the old prophet had given her storage pouch.

As for cultivation techniques, she had not received any. Since they were Master Teachers, none of them could learn the art of divination.

"This is more difficult than I imagined," she mused, but her eyes burned with determination.

Since she had become a Master Teacher, her comprehension had increased a lot. Additionally, when she studied history, she could easily link many events together.

This was the root of her confidence, but who knew the ancient times were more complicated than now.

Just as she prepared to open another book, she heard a whistling sound coming from the next room.

She turned her head and looked toward Jun Wu's room.

"What's he up to?" she frowned curiously, then shook her head.

Her gaze fell on the Runic Revolver, and a faint smile crept up her lips. Unknown to Jun Wu, he was the first male to ever give her a gift that she accepted.

With her talent and beauty, her clan had given her everything she ever wanted. She picked up the Runic Revolver and aimed at the empty space.

The memory of what had happened inside the Shadowless Region appeared in her mind, and she could not help but blush.

"What am I even thinking?" she mused, then shook her head. "I need to prepare for my first open lecture."

"I don't have time for any useless feelings. My priority is to grow stronger quickly."

She placed the Runic Revolver down and looked at it one more time before she returned to her reading.
