Chapter 209: Casting Medium

"Don't worry, it's all about making the most of it." Ron smiled and pushed the box a little closer:

"Ailan is very happy that a part of herself can help you, and for me right now, creating this level of alchemy item isn't too difficult."

He paused slightly, adding with a hint of regret:

"It's just a pity that the Black Mist School doesn't have an Enchanter; otherwise, imprinting enhancement runes on it would make the effect even greater. Perhaps when you reach the Crystal Tower, you might have the chance to ask an Enchanter to add some runes for it."

Trish carefully took the box, a trace of emotion flashing in her eyes.

She gently stroked the vine-patterned staff body.

When her fingertip touched the green leaf, the leaf glowed faintly, responding to the forest power within her bloodline.

"It's truly perfect..." she murmured in admiration, her voice carrying undisguised joy:

"It feels tailor-made for me, I can sense its resonance with my bloodline."

"However, I have a small request." Ron smiled, watching as Trish looked up in surprise.

He hesitated for a moment; he originally intended to mention Trish's blood sample, but swallowed his words back down.

In the Wizard World, blood is the most private and dangerous existence.

It not only contains the essence of life but is also the ideal medium for curses.

Even between blood relatives or close companions, they wouldn't easily let their blood fall into another's hands.

This is the most basic caution in the Wizard World—you never know when someone might turn into an enemy.

And possessing your blood is equivalent to holding the key to your life.

This is why almost all clients of Bloodline Modifiers are extraordinary slaves or non-human creatures.

Ron had never heard of any wizard asking a Bloodline Modifier to enhance their own bloodline, as it would be tantamount to handing one's fate into someone else's control.

Thinking of this, his gaze flickered slightly, and he said instead:

"I hope to collect more of Li Yue's blood samples for my bloodline experiment. The previous sample is already used up, and my bloodline research is at a critical stage."

Ron thought to himself, although Trish's Forest Elf bloodline was more valuable to his research, that line could not be crossed.

Even in a farewell gift situation, making such a request would instantly destroy the hard-earned trust between the two.

Moreover, Corina must have already warned Trish about this aspect.

Under no circumstances should her blood fall into anyone else's hands, not even a very close friend.

Trish blinked and then suddenly understood: "That's why you prepared such a valuable gift."

She chuckled softly, but there was no displeasure in her eyes, instead, there was a hint of relief.

Ron caught a fleeting moment of relaxation in her gaze.

Evidently, she too worried that he would make a more offensive request, which could have ruined the still-friendly atmosphere.

"That's easy, Li Yue is waiting for me outside."

Trish agreed casually, her tone a bit more relaxed.

The blood of a servant is merely a consumable and wouldn't cause any taboo.

Moreover, with Trish's keen observation, she could also tell Ron's keen interest in non-human bloodlines; such a request was reasonable enough.

"Thank you then." Ron nodded in gratitude, inwardly delighted.

This exchange was beneficial for both sides: he acquired valuable research material, and Trish received a magic wand highly compatible with her bloodline.

Though he didn't get the most ideal Forest Elf blood sample, the blood of the leopardess was valuable enough, especially with the special lineage of the "Monarch Bloodline" flowing through it.

Trish carefully placed the wand along with the box into her spatial bag, her movements gentle as though handling a treasure:

"In that case… I will accept this gift, and I will cherish it."

She looked up, a subtle glow in her eyes, an emotion caught between gratitude and reluctance:

"This wand will always remind me of our agreement, and… our friendship."

The last word she said so softly it was almost a sigh.

At that moment, Trish seemed to shed her usual calm and composed facade, revealing her true self:

A young girl about to leave a familiar environment, filled with both anticipation and apprehension for the unknown future.

Ron could feel her inner turmoil but did not lay it bare.

In the Wizard World, showing too much emotion is often seen as a weakness, especially for those who aspire to become stronger.

After a few simple words, Trish turned and walked out the door, leading Li Yue in shortly after.

The leopardess still wore her tight leather attire, the intricate patterns visible in the sunlight.

But a closer look showed her claws were even sharper, with a faint purple sheen visible—proof of successfully integrating the Scorpion Poison.

"Master said you need my blood sample."

Li Yue's voice was low, with no trace of emotion in her tone.

Ron nodded, taking out several specially made blood collection tubes and a small silver knife from the workbench:

"Yes, I need to collect a few vials, it shouldn't trouble you too much."

"No need to worry, Master Ralph."

The leopardess extended her arm, rolling up her sleeve to reveal skin covered in light brown spots: "Please go ahead."

Ron picked up the silver knife and gently drew it across the leopardess's arm.

The moment the blade cut the skin, fresh red blood surged out immediately.
