Chapter 209: Casting Medium (2)

But Li Yue's expression didn't change at all, not even a slight furrow of the brow.

"It seems your pain perception has been somewhat weakened."

Ron skillfully guided the blood into a collection vial while observing her reaction.

"Yes." Li Yue answered softly, her gaze resting on her bleeding arm:

"Ever since you helped me fuse the Scorpion Poison, my senses have changed a lot. I can freely control whether my sense of pain is weakened, which also gives me an advantage in battle."

Ron filled the first vial and switched to a second one:

"That tissue fused well, it seems your bloodline is fairly compatible with it."

"Thanks to your expertise." Li Yue uncharacteristically showed a hint of gratitude:

"These days, I can clearly feel an increase in strength. Not just the poison ability, but my overall combat power is much stronger than before."

"This is the third vial, it will be done soon." He carefully controlled the blood flow.

The panther girl nodded, her gaze respectfully staying on her own arm, not daring to look around at the various facilities in the workshop.

Once the blood collection was finished, Ron took out a small vial of light green ointment and handed it to the panther girl:

"Apply it on the wound, it will accelerate healing and leave no scars."

Li Yue took the vial and gently applied it to the wound.

The moment the ointment touched the skin, the wound began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye, soon leaving only a faint red line.

"It's getting late, I should also go back and prepare my gear."

Trish, who was sitting nearby, stood up, adjusted her robes, and put on her mask of calm composure again:

"Master Valen said the gargoyles will take off early the day after tomorrow, and I have many things to prepare."

"No problem, I'll see you out." Ron also stood up, and the two walked toward the door together.

"I look forward to the next time we meet, both of us as Official Wizards."

Trish stood at the door, looking back at Ron, a faint smile on her face but with an imperceptible hint of reluctance in her eyes.

"Of course." Ron nodded lightly to her, saying softly:

"I wish you all the best at the Crystal Tower. Don't forget our wager, I don't want an easy victory."

Trish smiled slightly, with a touch of playfulness: "You're always so confident, but I won't easily lose to you."

She paused, her expression turning serious, and her tone was more somber:

"Take care of yourself, Ron. Whatever you plan to do, remember, only by staying alive can you continue to move forward."

This remark made Ron feel a bit unusual.

Did Trish sense some of his plans? Or was it just a casual farewell blessing?

But regardless, the concern was real, which warmed Ron's heart.

"I will." He solemnly replied: "You too, the competition at the Crystal Tower is likely more intense than here."

Trish nodded slightly, as if wanting to say something more, but finally just turned and left.

Her silhouette stood tall in the morning light, her brown hair shimmering in the sunlight, like a sunflower.

Ron stood at the door, quietly watching her depart.

This kind of self-restraint is almost a required course for all Wizards, with emotions seen as noise interfering with rational judgment, needing to be effectively controlled.

"Master, I can feel that Miss Trish she..." Ailan's voice came from behind, interrupting Ron's thoughts.

He turned around, seeing the tree spirit standing not far away, her emerald eyes glowing with insight: "…seems to care about you very much."

Ailan's perception was as keen as ever, always able to discern hidden emotions in humans.

"Perhaps." Ron did not deny it, merely responded softly:

"She has her own path, and I have mine. We may be friends or perhaps rivals, but ultimately we're both pursuing our own strength."

Ailan nodded slightly, her tendrils swaying gently like she was thinking:

"Wherever the Master goes, we'll follow."

Ron smiled and nodded, his gaze looking off into the distance.

As Trish said, only by staying alive can one continue moving forward;

Only by constantly moving forward can one ultimately reach that supreme realm.

"Complete the charging of the Stand-In Puppet, Demon Hunter job activation, becoming an Official Wizard, Magic Sword Creation..." Ron planned quietly:

"In any case, I must quickly enhance my own power to deal with all possible dangers."

The sunset gradually sank below the horizon, cloaking the Black Mist Jungle in a layer of golden-red glory, as another day came to an end...

.........

After sending off Trish and Li Yue, Ron returned to the depths of his workshop's laboratory.

Sitting at the lab bench, he gazed at the row of neatly arranged reagent bottles before him, deep in thought.

"My Magic System is gradually taking shape, but something seems to be missing."

Ron muttered to himself, his fingers gently tapping the tabletop.

Since becoming an Advanced Apprentice, he had gradually begun to construct a fairly stable Thought Circuit.

"Sound Wave Vibration" as the primary attack method, "Ring of Brilliance" for versatile tactical support, and the ring of magic "Flowing Shield Wall" providing solid defense.

But Ron was not satisfied with just this.

The true path of a Wizard lies not only in mastering existing magic but also in continuous innovation and improvement.

His thoughts turned to the first magic he ever encountered—"Slime Splash."

This Basic Magic that had once accompanied him through several crises had now gradually faded from his combat system.

"The attack range is too close, the flight speed too slow, and the control effect is not as good as 'Sound Wave Vibration' and 'Spiritual Interference'."
