Worldwide Class Change: An Invincible Swordsman

Chapter 321 Flame City Lord Xis_1

Xis was different too. He wasn't parasitized by a Parasitic Beast, yet he wasn't quite like the Elf Race either, as if he were a fusion of both.

Lisa stood up and looked at Xis.

She asked, "City Lord Xis, why betray the Elf Race? Why betray the Elven World and the Alliance of All-Gods?"

Just as Lisa appeared, countless elven warriors emerged from the cave, along with numerous Parasitic Beasts whose bodies were transparent and about the size of ants.

"Princess, don't forget, he has been possessed by a Parasitic Beast. He is no longer the City Lord," one of Lisa's guards reminded her.

Only then did Lisa realize. Since he's been possessed by a Parasitic Beast, asking him anything is pointless.

Jiang Chen shook his head. "He hasn't been possessed by a Parasitic Beast. He's a member of the Elf Race, but he's different from your kind. There's something unusual about him."

Xis looked at Jiang Chen, then his gaze fixed on Lisa. "So, it is Princess Lisa," he remarked.

Lisa looked at Jiang Chen. "Are you saying he hasn't been possessed by a Parasitic Beast?"

"Yes."

Lisa turned back to Xis and asked again, "Why?"

"You're asking me why?"

"Yes. Why would you betray the Elven World? Why side with them?"

"My wife was a member of the Elven World, and she was killed by your mother. You ask me why?" Xis said, the corners of his mouth curling into a cold sneer.

Lisa was startled. Killed by her mother? She had no knowledge of this.

A soldier whispered behind her, "Princess, twenty years ago, Xis's wife was parasitized by a Parasitic Beast and was no longer of the Elf Race."

Xis shook his head. "No, she was of the Elf Race. She wasn't parasitized. Your mother issued the order to kill my beloved, and all I wanted was revenge."

"I want the entire Elven World to join her in death."

"Hmph, nothing but lies!" Lisa retorted. "Everyone parasitized by the Parasitic Beasts is no longer their former selves. Don't you understand that?"

"It's not that I don't understand," Xis countered. "Rather, it's you who fails to grasp that not everyone who is parasitized loses their life."

Lisa angrily gestured behind him. "Look at the tens of thousands of elven warriors behind you! Do you dare tell me they haven't been parasitized by Parasitic Beasts?"

"They have," Xis admitted. "But my wife wasn't. Neither am I, nor is my daughter. Your mother feared losing her status, so she killed her."

Lisa refused to believe Xis's nonsense and raised the Magic Wand in her right hand.

Jiang Chen nodded. "You indeed differ from the other Parasitic Beasts. Your mind remains clear, and your body seems to have merged with other powers."

Xis looked at Jiang Chen in surprise. He hadn't expected a young man to see through him.

"Young man, you're good," Xis said. "Parasitic Beasts don't necessarily have to parasitize the head. They can attach to the arms, legs, or any part of the body."

"And you have no understanding of this power."

Lisa wanted to say more, but Jiang Chen waved his hand. "Right and wrong are no longer important. All this talk is meaningless now."

Xis smirked. "You're right, it no longer has any meaning. After all, the important person is already dead. None of you need to act; I will resolve this myself. With your power added to ours, we will become even stronger."

Jiang Chen laughed. Listening to Xis, it sounded like he believed he had the situation well in hand.

With a mere thought from Jiang Chen, thirty thousand Sword Qi instantly shot out, attacking in Xis's direction.

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Xis's body seemed to be encased in Armor, and the Sword Qi couldn't break through his defenses, no matter which part of his body was targeted.

Jiang Chen's face filled with confusion. How can this guy's defensive power be so strong?

Jiang Chen had the Piercing Skill, with a 500% enemy penetration effect, but it seemed useless, having no effect at all. And Wan Jian Gui Clan was Jiang Chen's strongest Skill. If Wan Jian Gui Clan had no effect, other Skills were even less likely to do anything.

Jiang Chen asked, "What's his Advancement stage?"

"Fifth-stage," Lisa responded.

"Impossible! Even if he is Fifth-stage, I should still be able to kill him. His defensive power can't be this freakishly high." Impossible, absolutely impossible! Such an outrageous defensive power… he seems completely impregnable.

Xis laughed. "Sword Qi? Are you one of The Fallen?"

Lisa raised her Magic Wand and took two steps forward. "Let me try."

She stretched out her right hand, and a torrent of Flames erupted from her palm. The powerful Flame Light Pillar rushed toward Xis. He extended his right hand, which grew rapidly in size, and caught Lisa's Flame Light Pillar.

Lisa looked on in shock. How could it have no effect?

A realization struck Jiang Chen. "Your arm," he asked Xis, "has it fused with a Parasitic Beast?"

"Correct. This is the power of the Parasitic Beasts. Not only do they occupy the body, but they also serve another function: to strengthen the flesh and allow for changes in form at will."

"Then why are the other Parasitic Beasts weak?" Jiang Chen asked.

"There are two types of Parasitic Beasts," Xis explained. "One type resides in the skull, completely dominating the brain and Soul, known as the Primary Brain Worm. The other type strengthens the flesh and can change shape at will; they are called Assisting Gu."

"What you've been seeing are the Primary Brain Worms controlling the brain."

So there's such a distinction, Jiang Chen mused. Why haven't I heard of this before?

"Not only have I fused with one," Xis continued, "but various parts of my body are integrated with Assisting Gu. Now, let me show you what real power is."

Xis's expression changed, and five arms split out from his back.

Jiang Chen glanced over. A Tentacle Monster?

Damn it!

With so many hands, I wonder if other parts of his body have multiplied too...

All five hands conjured Magic simultaneously: red Flames, white Ice Cones, blue Thunder and Lightning, green energy manifesting as trees, and gray earth Magic.

Jiang Chen was taken aback. This is possible?

Lisa exclaimed, "Damn it, he can use multiple Skills simultaneously?"

"This is the function of the Assisting Gu—the ability to use Magic simultaneously," Xis boasted. "You have learned so many Skills, but with only two hands, you can only use one type of Magic at a time."

"But I can use much more."

Xis placed two of his hands on the ground. Jiang Chen saw gray earth Magic and green nature Magic emanate from them. Simultaneously, the ground instantly turned into muddy sludge, from which countless vines sprouted.

The vines burst forth as though to entangle Jiang Chen and his companions.

Jiang Qiu quickly activated her Skill.

A dense white fog immediately spread out, filling the area with minuscule nanoparticles. Not only that, Jiang Qiu released a clone, and millions of Nano Insects rushed out.

The extending vines were instantly exterminated by the Nano Insects.

Xis looked puzzled. What kind of class is this? It can devour vines and even Energy?

Jiang Chen whispered, "Angelina, Alice, you two get out of here. Find a place to hide. This battle is going to be tough; I need to go all out."

Alice nodded, quickly retreating with Angelina.

Jiang Qiu frowned. "The enemy is quite strong."

"I know," Jiang Chen said. "But only one of them is truly strong. As for the others, I'm not concerned. I'll deal with them first, then go after Xis."

"Okay."

Jiang Chen executed a Flash in the Void.

Thirty thousand Sword Qi rapidly struck. The twenty thousand Elves didn't even realize what was happening before they collapsed into pools of blood, their screams echoing from behind Xis.

Xis roared in rage, "You're seeking death!"

He aimed countless bolts of Thunder and Lightning at Jiang Chen's last position, but as soon as Xis made his move, Jiang Chen had vanished without a trace, his speed so fast not even a shadow could be seen.

Jiang Chen's Perception Skill had allowed him to sense Xis's moves. The Thunder and Lightning were incredibly fast, even faster than Jiang Chen himself. Fortunately, Jiang Chen had already anticipated Xis's attack, enabling him to dodge before the bolts were even unleashed.
